Hello,
my xperia Z doesn't want to start. It shows SONY and XPERIA text, then first animation is playing (these multicolor straps) then this animation comes for second time and freezes. Straps don't disappear completely from the screen and the phone restarts itself. Same happens when the phone is plugged to the wall or connected to pc.
Thanks for any advices.
Reflash your backup or the ROM, the only option when bootlooping.
From me to you.
Or, if no backup, use flashtool to restore a stock ROM.
Do you have CWM/TWRP recovery? If so you can try factory reset.

thanks for quick response,
unfortunately these terms you are using don't mean anything to me.
And I have no back up and do not have CWM/TWRP.
So as I understand I will have to connect it to the computer and run program called: Flashtool 0.9.11.0, right?
You need to do some reading. Start here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40441300

Ok so I was attempting to flash this Rom through CWM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180208
I had flashed my XZ C6603 already with this Rom so I know that it works correctly.
Anyways I decided to reflash my phone, did all the wipes through CWM before flashing my phone. While attempting to flash my phone the status kept hanging @ "formatting device", it took too long, specially compared to the first time I flashed the device, so I decided to abort (restart).
Now the phone won't go pass the Sony logo, turned the device on and off already, but that didn't help.
I downloaded Flashtool v0.9.10.1, but the thing is that when I hook up my phone to my computer, my phone isn't even being seen, so when I start Flashtool, it just says "31/021/2013 17:21:25 - INFO - Device disconnected".
Is there any way to restore this, or does this mean RMA?

Re: [Q] Soft brick or Hard BRICK?
Try to repair using update service or emma(if you have unlocked bootloader).
Edit:It seems the recovery we got still not stable enough, that's why i didn't flash any custom rom, even i didn't tried any recovery.

I'm using the repair service at the moment, will report back with the results.
Edit: The repair service fixed it for me, thanks.
Hi guys,
Just some background.
I bought my Xperia Z on . It was all good. I did not root or meddle with anything. It is pure stock.
Then suddenly, today while browsing using chrome, it just hangs and goes black.
I rebooted it but then once it get to the lock screen, it will hang again and reboot itself again. This goes on and on.
I then did a hardware reset. Hold Power and Vol Up for more than 15 seconds. The device vibrated 3 times. I booted it up again and the reboot cycle continues. Whenever it gets to the lockscreen, it will hang and reboot itself again.
Any one else having this problem?

So, I have rooted my Xperia Z, I do not have any recovery. I installed this white balance, too fix the screen contrast.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190293
I used the second method, since I did not have a recovery. After installing, I restarted my phone and:
1. It showed the Sony Logo
2. Blank
3. Back to step 1.
I just want to delete a few files from the /system folder. Is it possible to access the phone system files? I do not really want to reset the phone.
Things I can do
1. Shut down the phone (Power + Volume Up Button)
2. Use Sony Update Service (After powering down, hold volume down button)
And that's all about it I found out. Currently, I am charging the phone, and it gave me this battery icon.
Please help me with this. Any help is appreciated.

2. I long press the button and it gave me regular vibrations and also nothing on the screen.
3. When I try to charge it, it had red LED on and off all the night.
4. It can still go into flashmood and fastboot.
5. I try to use flashtool to flash .434 ftf. Flashtool told me "ERR_SEVERITY="MINOR";ERR_CODE="0026";ERR_DYNAMIC="Write TA failed"
6. I try to use sony update service to fix it and it told me your device doesn't have new update.

Try this, when you start flashing, press-release the power button multiple times until it finish flashing, this is something that is actually happening on my xperia z, and sometimes it just starts redlight and vibrate 3 times, reboot, if i press-release press-release fast multiple times, it just dont reboot.
Regards!
It works

First of all, Flash Kernel only if have unlocked bootloader :/ i encountered the same issue. If so you need to flash the stock ROM - Please find the stock ROM below in link below.

Use Beta6 Flashtool to flash the ROM.
It will worl for sure
hello all, i have a sony xperia z (rooted) but now it wont boot up!
first of all it had been rooted for a while now and everything was fine, however i tried to unroot following a tutorial on youtube using sony's update service, it got to the installation then an error came up saying it had failed and to retry when fully charged (phone was over 50% charge) since that the phone wont boot up, it will get to the sony screen then just power off again, sometimes the led will flash very quickly in green, flash mode? not too sure..
i have no idea how to fix it so any suggestions would be awsome!, thanks, Jordan

Cheers bro! after waiting for the downloads it literally took me a matter of minutes to flash the stock .ftf
Easiest way to uproot is to use pc companion, glad it's sorted
