Odd request, but can anyone else test this for me. I held my phone up to a white piece of paper and there were orange lines scrolling on the screen. Wondering if its just me, or something else... It also looks like it records it too...[ also here is a picture of it. Thanks! :good:

Well, I sometimes get a similar effect when shooting in a room with fluorescent light, for example my office. It's especially visible when I shoot zoes... I see flickering lines (horizontal) go from top to bottom on my screen...

I have a problem with my Tilts screen, on some programs I can see a line running across the screen right where the bottom bar for the softkeys is located. When I am using the camera it appears to be green, and when i open up the tab for the options it is white, its not that visible to most people but I can clearly see it, and it and it is extremely annoying I will take some pictures of it later, just wanted to know if anyone has the same problem
looks a hardware fault to me...is it happening on landscape and portrait mode?
I have problem with horizontal line on the screen only in camera (3Mpix) mode. This line apper on the taken foto. I thin it must be camera ... I hope this will be fixed soon...
I send mine back for repair, because of the horizontal and vertical lines in camera mode.

it happens on both, the problem kinda reminds me of those old crt monitors where if you had the same thing on the screen too long it would burn in. the line is on the left side of the screen and looks exactly like the shiny part of the left softkey is.

Was it repaird or did you get a new one ? I now that it's diffrent in every country but how long were you left without phone ?
I'm still in the waiting, the TNT guy just picked it up. They promised me it will take 10 days max. This includes the time for sending it back to me.
So hopefully i'll get it back before 15 dec. I think they will replace my cameralens, since there is a white dead pixel on it. But who knows...
Im having the same problem.
I just received my MDA Vario III yesterday.
I installed the hardSPL and flashed with dutty's latest rom.
I also took a contacts pic of my dad, hehe.
But today, I started the camera and noticed a red line running across the cam.
So I took the picture, and checked the pic. It seemed the red line was taken with the picture. This does mean there's some hardware problem. Also, I found another topic on the internet with more people complaining about it:
Click!
I just called T-Mobile and they wouldnt help me cause the contract's on my dad's name. (A few years back when I wasn't 18 yet)
Anybody else who has experienced this problem?
i just took a pic of my monitor in low light conditions - i have a totally black screen with only the taskbar visible (light gray) i found that taking a picture in landscape mode, the night mode or some **** is causing all pixels along that line to darken (??) see this link for an example (3mp @ fine)
note: this happens in landscape mode probably because the orientation of the line of pixels is in line with the pixels of the camera (cant seem to reproduce it when the device is upright [ie the taskbar spans the 240, not the 320]) - this could either be the utterly _crap_ nightmode filter software or could be due to the ccd itself - i dont really know enough about camera technology to determine which is the cause (you think maybe the crap nightmode filter determines the gamma of horizontal lines based only on the pixels in that line? that would explain this effect and if so thats just plain ****)
My Kaiser has new camera. It took only one day to repair it. I've heard that camera in Kaiser is made by Samsung ... (it was mentioned in service report)
Now it's all ok. I wonder how long ...
After being in my pocket for some time, there is a rainbow effect on the screen. I can change the location of this effect if I push elsewhere on the screen; however, it seems to concentrate itself right in the center. It has no ill-effect on the touch screen but it is visible under certain angles when the screen is on. I am using the screen protector that came with it. After some time being out of my pocket it dissipates and looks normal.
Anyone else experience anything like this?

Yeah, I have.. I haven't noticed it's touch sensitive, but I've seen the problem while rebooting and also randomly while using the phone.. And it seems like for me the screen gets progressively worse and starts losing all contrast and fades to white. A reboot always fixes it.
My guess is something in the video drivers flips out. But the first time I saw it I thought I had a hardware problem because I found it that way in the morning out of the blue, but I guess it had started doing it 'itself' overnight or something.

I dont think it has anything to do with the screen itself. But the digitizer and the multiple layers on top of the screen that the digitizer is composed of.
Newton's rings isn't it?

Yes that is exactly it - the diffraction of light between 2 surfaces, is it normal; however?
Thanks!

Nooo, then maybe what I'm talking about is different. I'm talking crazy screen, weird 'rippling' going on, screen slowly turns more and more white. I know what newtons rings are.. It's sorta visible in sunlight.
So perhaps I'm describing a different issue. Mine is definitely something with the phone, not the layers.
So I have noticed that when I scroll on my HD7 there are black lines across the top of every column - in other words it looks like the screen is lagging slightly behind the scrolling.
It is most obvious when you see it blue on black as far as I can tell.
It seems to vanish with a white background. It is something I have seen on every HD7 I have seen in stores and my own HD7.
It is almost like the effect of when you wave your finger/hand in front of your face and you see a trail.... that is what it looks like.
Is that a screen issue or a human eye can't keep up issue?
I am sorry if you now notice this issue on your new phone
in another thread about this someone said it was due to the screen not refreshing quickly enough due to the type of lcd used, I do know it happens on mine as well though, try setting it to the purple theme, it gets really bad, and if you tilt the phone the theme turns pink which amused me.
I'm having this weird line that comes on my screen which does not seem to go away no matter how much I seem to wipe the screen and try to clean it to my utmost in the end it always seems to come back as u cam see in the picture. Please help if u know of a way I can get rid of this. Also sorry for terrible image (laptop cameras really need to improve). P.S. Thanks in advance.
I don't see the line, only dot. Looks like a bunch of dead pixels. May be you dropped it? LED screens have this problem if you drop it. All you can do now is replace your screen. Sadly wiping it won't make it go away. lol
The photo is no help, it looks like it could be a screen protector peeling away on the long edge at the top in that picture - or the dark line running almost diagonally across the screen dividing dirty finger prints from clean screen; but either could be just reflections.
Was the screen on when the picture was taken? Is that a white pixel cluster or just lint?
Try taking a better picture and explain the problem a bit better.
Hey, got the Pixel 5 this morning and love it. However I have noticed that sometimes the front camera is not in the centre of the black circle, and the top left section of the circle isn't smooth and looks rather jagged edged. I have looked through the developer options but can't see anything to reset or turn off the black circle around the camera.
Does anyone have the same problem? Or any advice on what to do?
Thanks
Danny
My phone did that when I switched it on for the first time, the edges of the camera cut out and the 4 rounded rounded corners were jagged rather than smooth but after the setup it's been perfect since.
Ok thanks. I have just reset my phone again and it seems to be better now. Hopefully it will stay like that :good: cheers

I'm not sure what you mean that the front camera is not in the center of the black circle. The black circle IS the camera.
That is normal. You can see that everytime when the phone boots up. The software smoothes the edges and the punch hole cutout, once its booted up.
I have the same problem with the not centered camera, it's like it's missing the designated cutout for it in the screen and leaks out on the top left. Like the screen leaves black in the wrong place. Read the same things on reddit. Guess I gotta contact Google.
Resetting helped you?
