did you flash the official cwm recovery? it can be installed with ROM Manager. the old cwm recovery doesnt clear the 'boot into recovery' state => bootloop into recovery.
if stuck in that bootloop, turn out battery, put in back, connect charger and see if you get the battery charging animation. this clears/reset the state and you can boot into android

[Q] Cannot access Recovery Menu

Hi Guys!
Here it's the problem I've rooted the phone the last week and I want to give a try to Zeus ROM. I had installed the Rom Manager, but I cannot access to the Recovery menu.
I turn off the phone, and when I turn on I keep pressed the V+ or G button and it's boot normally to the "normal" screen.
I read a lot of threads but I cannot find the solution, I'm sure that this is a nooby question.
PS: sorry for my bad english
Thanks in advance!
Use rom manager to reboot to recovery

Always for the safety keep rom manager app on SD card. After flash you have to instalation rom manager from SD and all will be fine.

How can I install rom manager if something was wrong with the installation of a new Rom, and the phone does not start normally?
Thanks
I see you still really afraid to try
If something weird happen you can always use Smart Flash Tools to reflash stok rom.
Also I sugest you to learn about adb (what is it, how to instal, how to use). Sometimes it really usefull.

this is a important issue..
if you flash a rom that has g recovery (enter recovery when you press g button on startup).. then you can always enter recovery, even if you have a bootloop problem. other roms without g recovery doesn't have that luxery.
if you get bootloop there you will have to unbrick/reflash your phone.. works ok but takes quite a lot of time.
Or just use ADB

Ok thanks, I'll try. It's normal then the black screen? I format system too It's a problem?
Yes it's a bug, there is no boot animation on first boot, wait 5-10 minutes.
Wiping system is good practice, make sure you do a factory reset too of course.
No way to boot for me. Then I flash last firmware .434 with flashtool and my cel reborn. Hard time but now my Xperia is back... But I don't understand why it doesn't boot with cm10.

try install it via CWM instead of TWRP...
i got that kinda situation and when i tried with CWM worked like a charm. Make a Full wipe before installing zip.
Ok thanks. Better if I put zip cm10 in internal memory first? Then fastboot the boot.img, enter recovery with purple led and flash? Format system also?

Brick

I'm on JB, just unlocked bootloader. I tryed many times to install cwm without succes, now my phone is bricked after i press on Root.bat, razr_i_boot was written and now i go bootloop on the BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED screen.
What i need to do please?
I need to install RSD and flash ICS then JB? Since i am allready on JB, i can flash directly JB rom?
If this is not the answer, please help me with that, how i can pas that brick? ((((((
I can see the fastboot menu (if this help)
It's enough to flash only the JB Files, ICS will brick your Phone completely.
In your case only the JB Boot.img is needed. You rooted with the ICS Exploit. On JB you have to root via CWM (RazriRoot2.zip)

Glad to see a quick answer, you save my day. Can you tell me please, from where i take only the JB Boot.img?

Thanks alot HSD-Pilot, really thank you! Phone boot now, huh ..
Now i must to see how to install the cwm, every time its reboot on stock recovery.
Hmm, today i got another brick and i dont understand why and how to solve it!
I format system, cache and factory reset in hope to upgrade to Pi-llama Rom 1.4 rom.
After i restart phone, i am stuck at bootloader warning menu.
Fastboot menu i am able to see.
How i can solve this to skip the bootloader warning and power up the phone?
I tryed to put the JB boot.img but is same, stuck at bootloader warning image.

[Q] No ROM, only default recovery - what do?

Long story short, I factory reset my phone and replaced the recovery with stock. Now I can only get to fastboot or stock recovery. How do I flash AOKP again?!
There isnt a stock recovery..
So flashmode doesnt work?
Do you did a Nand backup?

Can't avoid automatic stock recovery even after flasing TWRP.

Hello.
My phone is a SM-G903F with an android version of 6.0.1 and with an architecture of armeabi-v7a.
I have a problem because when I try to install the TWRP tar file (dl.twrp.me/s5neolte/) through ODIN it all goes perfectly well, I install it in the download mode and after installing it, it automatically resets but when I now open the recovery mode it goes in the stock recovery mode and not the TWRP recovery mode.
I basically follow exactly the instructions in this video youtube.com/watch?v=3-lwdZhdZWM but I always end up in the stock recovery mode.
Can anyone help me or suggest anything I can do?
Thank you very much,
Enrique
You have to unselect auto-reboot, shut down your phone (or remove the battery) after flashing TWRP and then manually boot into recovery.
