Hi! all. I am having trouble switching keyboard types using the swipe down notification bar option. I have to go all the way to settings & assign the default keyboard from there. I have just update my phone to .253 firmware & rooted. This has been happening since the day i bought it & I thought it was a firmware bug & would be solved with the new .253 update but unfortunately its still there. I have tried other Xperia Z with same firmware & they are working fine. Hope someone can help.

hi!
a few days ago a notification apeared on my notification-bar to tell me that there's an update to .253 available. tried to OTA-update, but the update failed (i guess due to a custom recovery).
instead of the "available-update-notification", i've got a "failed to update - notification".
it's really annoying...do you know how i can get rid of this notification (except by updating via pc-companion)?
thank you & have a nice day

I flashed 4.2.2 generic NL on my Z and at first my soft keys were transparant, but then I rebooted my device and did nothing special, now they're not transparant anymore and I don't know how to make them so again. Any help please? Added: screenshot

Never mind, fixed. Solution is deleting wallpaper (setting) apps, like Wizardri and then reboot. Works like a charm and you can reinstall the apps again afterwards

Hi,
I upgraded to 14.3.A.0.757 from .257 and eventually everything seemed to be ok. (Used the NUT method)
Upon going in Settings > Personalisation > I was expecting to see new 'Home' menu but I don't see it at all?
Have I screwed up somewhere? Is this a hidden option somewhere?
Sorry if this has been posted already
Ta
Its not in personalisation, its the option one below it.
Options I have are:-
Device
Personalisation
Call Settings
Sound
Display
Storage
Power Management
Apps
I think I'm missing home?

I am currently on [NUT]s .757
Me too but I don't see that option?
Perhaps I should try again, I did notice my internal/external storage had all data still on it?

I do not have that too
Try flashing the .681 first
I cam from that, it may be a hangover from that version
True; although I've just flashed iHackers 4.1 and that has the home option there, very strange.
Think I'm gonna stick with this ROM for now so thanks for the help chaps!!
I don't have that option, if you install a launcher then it will appear(at least on my phone)
I haven't got it either and I went from. @Nut. 681 to. 757...

Hi everyone,
So I'm pretty new to all this stuff but I really have an annoying problems. So right now I'm with the new AOSP ROM based on CM 11. I got this problem with this ROM and with every CM11 ROM (dogo_nightly). The problem is that every once in a day, or more, my touchscreen stop working. I mean everything works, the music keep going the power button works etc. But my screen freeze and I have to open my phone and take the battery of...which is really annoying to do every time. So if someone got a solution that would be so helpful. Thanks for your helping.

Disable double tap to wake from settings. Also go to your ROM.zip find boot.img and flash it to your mobile via Flashtool. Now reflash your ROM with that cwm recovery.
