I've been seeing this sync error every since updating to 4.2 possibly before too.
Did anyone know what is actually causing it? Screenshot below

I have the exact same problem, but haven't bothered enough to do anything about it. I get the same error, but it does actually still sync: so I don't know what's going on

Yeah I just hope it's not creating a buildup of error logs somewhere

Nah, I did a fairly good sweep, but couldn't find anything special? Lets hope its all okay

I used to get this issue on my Thunderbolt constantly, something in my Google contacts is messing up the sync. I just disabled syncing of contacts, but I don't use google for my contacts anymore anyway so it wasn't an issue.

All of a sudden I can not access my comcast email. Here is the message I get:
"setup could not finish"
Cannot safely connect to server.
(org.bouncycastle.jce.exception
Extcertpathvalidatorexception:could not validate certificate signature.)
It driving me crazy! Here is what I tried so far. I replaced email.apk, clear caches, clear data in the email, nothing is working. Anybody have any ideas or hear of this before? It must be something wrong on the Comcast side?
Not sure what the issue is but I am gonna suggest more info for people to help. What rom are you on? Kernel? Has it worked before? where did you get the email.apk you tried?

I am on Fusion X, stock kernel. Weird thing is my wifes cappy is on Mosaic 8, and I am getting the same message on her phone now. I googled it and it looks like other people are having the same problem. But so far, no fix

It isn't the app; I use it almost daily from my One.
What else could it be, tried uninstalling and downloading ago but get the same message.
Everything else is ok, can read posts and subscribe, etc but cannot see a function to respond to or create a thread?

Sorry, no ideas here. However I am using the premium app, not the free one. Don't know if that makes any difference (I don't see why it should).
I get this same error sometimes but not very often. I just clear app cache and data and then it works fine again. Not sure if it'll work for you but it's worth a try

The app cache! Doh! Why didn't I think of that...
I'm afraid clearing cache, etc doesn't solve the issue still the same problems :-\

Try tapatalk 4 beta. I'm using it and it's working like a charm. Sometimes I get the security issue but closing it (pressing back when on the main/home screen) and then opening again works.
It's already available in the play store
Remember it's a beta though so it has its tiny issues (smilies don't show up correctly, they all show as the smiley or else in text) but it works and looks and feels very new and stylish
The only other thing I could suggest then would be to mention it in the XDA app thread. You may be able to get a solution in there.

Cheers folks, I've asked the question in the xda thread

I'm already in. If you had it sent to your Gmail, it might get caught up in your spam like mine did.
Good to know. I'll have to double check on that, thanks for the tip.

Yeah, I don't know if they fixed that trick, but my buddy can't on his iPhone.

Any one else notice a pattern for all the reviews for this app.
"Thank you so much BlackBerry team. I was waiting this app. Its really great user friendly and smooth."
They are working with Google to remove these fake reviews
Oddly enough, I was able to sign up without getting the email by just putting my email into the app for a second time.

Bypass email or queue wait for BBM activation
Do not wait for Email confirmation/ or do not wait for blackberryto put you on the top of the queue. Simply use your friend's email address who has activated BBM. Then on screen 2 use your own email id to create new BB ID.

Got in today; the turnaround seems to only be a day or so. Now, to find others who are already here.......
Was trying to get my wife on this app; she has always said the one thing BB did right was the messaging app. Meanwhile, I did a fresh ROM install and now the app won't get past setup. Uninstalled....
Why does everyone want BBM what is the benefit of it over other means on android?
Dunno, none of my friends are on it so I already uninstalled

I don't know why it's happening. I put the phone down for the night last night and everything was fine, upon picking it up today the error started popping every few minutes several times in a row, without seeming provocation.
I'm including the Stack trace. It seems to involve MediaDrm Provisioning and gms.
I'm rooted and s-off 4.3, 3.05.651.6.

Anyone have any idea at all how to make it stop? It pops the error up every few seconds for a good minute at a time. Shouldn't there be something I can do with my phone rooted to make it stop?

Have you tried force stopping and clearing the cache for Google play services?

Yup. Even tried uninstalling the update and updating it again. No go. ; ;

Actually, I lied. I did the uninstall update/reinstall, but never did clear the cache. That seems to be working for the moment.
What do you think may have caused it, since it seems to have happened while I was asleep?

Not sure, maybe something got corrupted during the update. Anytime a app starts acting up that's the first thing I do. Glad it's resolved.
