[Q] Adjust touch screen sensitivity? - Galaxy Tab 8.9 General

Hi,
Just bought myself one a jot stylus, it's ok, but the accuracy isn't good enough.
I was looking around on the market, and there is an app to adjust screen sensitivity on Galaxy S2/3, Note, Tab 10.1. But the 8.9 kernel isn't supported.
Does anyone know of a way to increase the accuracy?
Thank you,
Sean

[Q] Capacitive Stylus - final solution?

Hi,
I found two interesting things which will hit market soon:
1) Samsung Galaxy Tab Bluetooth Stylus
http://www.electronista.com/articles/10/09/28/galaxy.tab.bluetooth.stylus.up.for.order.in.uk/
2) Nokia Capacitive Stylus SU-39
http://europe.nokia.com/find-produc.../carrying-cases/nokia-capacitive-stylus-su-39
Let's hope they will finally solve our problem with good capacitive stylus.
What do you think?
The Galaxy stylus looks very nice. Hopefully he works on std android devices with android
sent from my Froyo 2.2 HD2
These stylus will just work on any capacitive screens.

Test results
Hi,
Today I tested Nokia SU-39 stylus and ... it simply does not work with HD2 at all - there is no reaction on screen. I think it only works with resistive type of screens like one in Nokia C6.
However samsung's styli stylus works quite well ... in my opinion even better than HTC's one (samsung's stylus is much more pointy).

Increase touch sensitivity on NC

In one of the builds for Honeycomb from blue, he mentioned that he increased the screen sensitivity. Is there a way to increase it further? I bought a stylus and its pretty crappy on the nook using sketchbook express, but its great on my iphone using the same app. I'm sure the screen isn't as great as the iphone but wonder if there was a software way to improve it.
Thanks.
Not sure exactly how to manipulate it in the kernel, but according to this page you can recalibrate the unit while face down to make the screen super-sensitive.

Anyway to increase touchscreen sensitivity?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there was anyway to increase touchscreen sensitivity on the HTC One. I just recently installed a MIME tempered glass screen cover and I've noticed it is a little less sensitive now. For example, pulling down the notification bar or scrolling in general is slightly less responsive. Thanks!
I just realized this should probably go in the Q/A Troubleshooting section. Can a mod move this for me?

Same here. I also tried a different brand (Xtreme Guard) and felt the same. Ironically, the same screen protector was installed on my wife's Galaxy S4 with almost no difference in screen sensitivity. I would be interested to know too how to increase the screen response/senstivity. Thanks.

The latest published firmware 2.17 has updated touchscreen drivers http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39225672&postcount=2
This may help.

Galaxy Note 5 Touchscreen Sensitivity Using 2 Hands

Note 5 touchscreen sensitivity using 2 hands
Hey,
Is anyone experiencing this issue. I am coming from a S3 where it fit perfectly in both hands in landscape mode. The note 5 is thin and big and doesnt fit as nice. It kinda is a pain to hold and the edges are so thin they kinda hurt. I am sure a case will help this and plan on getting one very soon. The issue though seems to be too much sensitivity along the edges. I have read alot where there was not enough sensitivity in the s6 and edge variants and they even added in settings -> display -> increase touchscreen sensitivity. I dont see this option but why not include this to decrease or increase depending on the user's needs. Seems simple enough. I think this is locked into the settings and not configurable. If the fingers only slightly overhang it causes any touchscreen interactions in the middle to be slow or not work at all. I have little fingers so I am surprised big fingered people arent freaking out or maybe they will as the note 5 is sold more, i know its still a brand new phone and not alot of feedback yet. Anyways thought I would get the ball rolling on this. Any have any suggestions for fixing the issue and not giving me a work around (like hold it better etc..)
Thanks
YEs, I'm suffering from the same issue here. It means that (with fingers overhanging at the edge of the screen) you can get the impression the touchscreen isn't very sensitive.

Question S8 screen quality?

Looking to buy S8 as it is comparatively more compact & cheaper.
How is the overall quality of LCD on S8? Does it have any accuracy issue like warm tone?
Thanks

S8 has got TFT panel instead of OLED like s8+ and S8 Ultra has got.
Screen quality is better than Tab s5e
(especially if your have allergy and tears on Amoled)
UPDATE: screen is amazing
Screen of S8 is good, it's a TFT screen but is consistent even in the edges of the screen. Only issue i got is that Samsung doesn't have adaptative warm tones on panels that aren't oled, also don't expect perfect blacks.
It's great. I have no complaints with it.
Great quality (Samsung galaxy tab s8 ultra ).

He is asking for s8 which hasn't oled. S8 ultra has oled. If you like oled, you don't buy s8 regardless how good is the screen, it isn't oled..
You are right Sosimple, i respond to quickly. Sorry for that.
I've a Tab S8 since some months. The screen quality is excellent. It is a LCD display , one of the best.
In the past I had also a Tab S7 plus with amoled but I like more the Tab S8 because of the size. The LCD allows also better energy consumption compared to the amoled.
I may suggest to buy also the keyboard with trackpad (the one made for tab S7 , not the recently released version without trackpad) . It is a nice accessory that transform the tablet into a semi Surface expecially in the Dex Mode.

LCD takes actually more power than amoled/oled. Since black on amoled/OLED has got leds turned off which takes less power on black areas. While LCD keeps leds on and mixes colours into more like grayish black.

What you say it's true but S8 battery life is much better than S8+ (according to what i saw on the internet), this might be cause S8 is the only one with adaptative refresh rate
