Hi Folks,
First, the Specs:
CWM 6.0.3.0 Recovery
Ivendor CM10 R2.5
Stock Kernel
Stock Battery
I accidentally left my Phone for two Days plugged in the AC Charger.
The next day, the Battery only lasted for 8 h, usual is at least 16 h.
After that, the Battery stays at 0%.
Also, the USB isn´t recognized properly by any PC
(i tried 2 Notebooks and 2 PCs with the appropriate Drivers).
I mostly can get to 2%, if i charge in Recovery for several hours, so i did a Backup of my Data with TB after that.
I also wanted to do a nandroid Backup, but the Backup fails in the middle of the /data Partition (not readable)
So: Do i have a Dead Battery Controller and a dead USB Controller in the Phone?
My Battery is just fine with 2 Cells @ 3,76V
I also got random Reboots out of Recovery, and i cant turn the Phone off. It just reboots until the Battery is empty.
I tried for a fix with Flashing the Bootloader in Odin, but as you remember, i also got an unrecognized USB Controller.
So, can anybody help me with Fastboot mode to fix the Bootloader first?
Any Tips for the Battery and/or the USB Controller?
RMA?

I experienced something similar. Its probably your usb controller and you may of shorted out the micro usb port on you phone. Yes rma is your best option. Try charging the phones battery using a battery charger ie: take the battery out and charge it, it worked for me.
Hope this helps

[Q] Battery Not Charging !

i have this 'NOT FOR SALE P925' its unlock and has TMOBILE US 3g/4g Bands.
its rooted and has CWM recvoery installed.
i can install any rom on it.
baseband version is L6260_MODEM_SIC_01.1042.00
software version is LGP920-V10K-SEP-17-2011
its running build FRG83G by 'feb985'
i try installing different roms but problem remains the same. it will boot up , but as soon it boot into android it will shutdown because its alway on 0% battery. i try charging the battery in external battery charger and also another battery but it wont recognize the battery percentage and shutdown.
if the usb is connected with either computer or charger it will boot but wont UP the percentage of the battery. means no charging. and as soon as i disconnect the usb it will shutdown .
does any one have a clue what the hell is wrong with this phone ?

I don't know if its directly related but I remember seeing the same problem over on the Optimus 3D forum. Try a search over there and see if they cane up with a fix. I believe it was in the General section. Whatever worked there should work for the Thrill.

i actually put gingerbread on it. but still have the same problem. then i revert back to 10d firmware. still the same.
now if i can get V08 serier firmware somehow.
me too i've the same not for sale version, and experiencing the same prblem of battery,i did made a back up before up upgrading, after having the 0% battery prob, with several firmware i decided to restore my back up,but the same problem arises, but the battery charge indicator work when i charge the phone when it's off,if i power on the phone it will shut down as soon as i unplug the usb,if i let the phone charge completly when its off,i power on the phone while it's still plug in,it will show that the battery is full, then if i unplug it,my phone will remain on,but if i restart it,the same battery problem happens again and i should do the same process in order to use the phone unplugged, the phone will not charge while its on
---------- Post added at 11:10 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:45 AM ----------
if you've backupped your phone before upgrade, you can restore it,it will still have this not charging problem, but
if you shutdown your phone after restoring,it will charge, but don't power on the phone till the battery indicator show it's
fully charged, then you can power on the phone, but the charger/usb cable should remain plugged till the phone loads completly and you see the
battery full, unplug the phone indication, then you will be able to use the phone, but if you shutdown/restart the phone the same battery 0%
error will appear and you will have to switch off and repeat the procedure again,i tried restoring back up of other phone, but the indicator won't show charging
while it is off,but if i install custom roms using rom manager and i remove the bin image from it,it charges the same way,but the phone will restart by itself after
some use,and i should charge it again, while it is off, hopes this piece of info might help someone, btw mine is p920 'not for sale'
thanks for the tip .. but i never have a backup of it. i bought it like this thinking i might be able to fix it. i will try cleaning the battery stats in cwm and then let it stay off for charge let see whats happends.
btw do you happens to have the cwm backup of yours ?? i would appreciate it if you post it.
thanks

Note will not charge

Can someone help me? I’m currently running Criskelo’s ICS V11.2 with CF-LRG. Yesterday i noticed a massive battery drain up to 12% per hour. After charger was connected for a few hours i can’t turn phone on, after 5-10 min phone going on by itself, after starting the Phone going again off. I wipe in recovery but it did not help. It keeps repeating.
First of all I'd say you try other battery saving kernels out there e.g. SpeedMod, if your still getting that battery drain bug, try to go to CWM, wipe dalvik cache and batterystats and charge your phone until it's full. Use it until the battery drains to 5% and charge it to full again. (Do a complete battery cycle is what I mean).
Check back after if your still getting the battery drain issue.
probably the problem is hardware issue ( usb connector).
i have flash other rom other kernel, wiped. nothing. i still can't charge battery over usb. how i can restock (cause of warranty)? no way with ODIN

If you flash any gb with pc Odin use a full wipe version and it'll erase root and cwm. Doesn't matter if it's 3 part or not.

Out of ideas, plz help

| Did a hard reset/factory reset using SmartFlashTool and still no luck. The phone keeps powering off (as if you were pulling out the battery forcefully from the back) after booting for a min or so when plugged in. When on battery alone, the phone wont boot at all, it just flashes the LG logo for a few times and dies (like turning a lamp on and off). I'm running out of ideas :S
Did you drop it or did it get wet? Is the Download Mode screen being shown for a longer periode of time, or how were you able to use smartflash?

| Nope, Nope, Nope, I was able to use SmartFlash just fine. When plugged into a power source, the phone did a factory reset and I was able to boot into froyo for a minute or so, and then it dies (like when you're pulling the battery out forcefully).
Try the following:
Download any kdz file, download cwm injector (look into my noob how to post 3), inject cwm, flash it with smartflash, then you should be in CWM, do a data, cache and dalwik wipe, flash superuser.zip (should be on your SD card of course) and try to boot again. If it still doesnt boot, I have no idea, of what is wrong with your phone...
I think it's hardware related. A link betwen power supply and motherboard.

I think it's a hardware problem too because smartflashing it to original rom still won't solve the problem. Guess I have to take it back to the store that I bought it from.
Try using it on USB alone with battery removed if its working normal, then it could be a faulty battery. If you can lend the same battery to test would be better than buying one then realizing thats not the problem but could be hardware problem.
Hmm, had u followed the correct steps about using smartflashtool?
Change the battery?

Problem on Charging the battery

Hello,
I faced a problem about 2 weeks ago till now.
It is When try to charging my HTC ONE, when the battery is about 90%, 90% to 100% gone very fast and the LED shows green. But when unplugged and plugged the charger again, percentage of battery dropped to about 90% - 91% and it charged fast to 100% again.
When I let its remain on green status and plugged, after about 10 minute, my device charged fully (I tested it again: first unplugged the charger then re-plugged. Battery status dropped to 99% and after 30 sec it shows fully charged)
What is the exact problem?
Thanks
You could try to calibrate it with app from play store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ignisoft.battery.calibration

No dude ....
I calibrate with 2 suggested apps but no chance! As I'm S-OFF I want to try flash with a RUU then upgrade to latest stock ROM and test this as I have free time to work on...
If I find a solution , sure let you know. (also you )

Are you using a pc suite manager application like "MOBOROBO" ? If yes, try uninstall, reboot, download latest version and re-install it.
Also you can try do it on HTC driver.

So I think you should go to check the device by HTC CARE Center
I wiped my cashe partition and after that I see the 99% till 96% again for example.
Also slightly lower discharing.
Instructions for the international unbranded version of the HTC One:
If he still has the same inconvenience after trying it several times, we also suggest him to perform a wipe cache partition. This process gets rid of all the temporary, unnecessary and junk data that slows down your phone and eventually causes to freeze or crash. It can also cause malfunction on the devices hardware such as the camera, internal memory or as it is in this situation the symbol described.
To do so please follow the steps bellow:
- Disable fast boot (Settings > Power > Fast Boot)
- Power off the device
- Press and Hold Volume Down while your device is off
- Briefly tap the Power button until Hboot appears (The white screen with three Android characters).
- Tap Volume Down to highlight recovery
- Tap the Power button
- When you see a screen with a red triangle and an exclamation point hold Volume Up
- Tap Power this will bring up the hidden recovery menu
- Tap Volume Down to highlight "Wipe cache Partition"
- Tap power to begin this process
- Once reboot system now appears tap Power.

Xperia T dead. Help please...

It's not my first time to flashing roms. But this time i think phone dead. Here is the story: I installed cm12 and wipe system flash cm 14 adn finally today i flashed cm13 and i loved it. But when i opened file explorer i see internal storage is 2gb(before flashing it is 10gb). When i opened TWRP 3.0.2 i see another legacy sd partition. I think if i will format this partition i can get 10gb internal storage back. And i formatted legacy sd using twrp. But when i push reboot system now phone turned off and never go back. no any red or green light. I'm sure phone have min 50% charge and battery new(not battery problem). I tried remove battery but it is not work. When connect it to pc see this on bottom right corner ''QHSUSB_DLOAD'' and no driver found and no any light on phone. What can i do now? Flash tool and Emma dont recognize device.

Hi! i have de same problem right know... i format de lagacy sd and now is bricked like your phone.
Did you solve IT?
Hi. Generally when the phone doesn't respond, you had to consider it hard bricked, and there's no solution that you can apply without putting the hands on the Hardware. My advice is to try let it charging for 24+ hours and see if something happens. For example if the led turns on, probably you are in soft brick and you can bring it back to life. There's a tread here in XDA explaining the importance of charging cycles for the late 2012 Sony devices.
In my case I couldn't flash nothing on xperia T until I haven't let it charging for 25 hours straight. Then I was able to bring it back to life.
Hope you can do the same. In any case, good luck.
I might be reckoning wrong, but I believe I've recovered my T several times using stock firmware in such case.. Then go again with CM or whatever.

after+ 12hr of charging i see blinked red every 2 mint .... what can ido for this ??plz help sorry for bad english
Sorry for the late reply. Its a good sign, so now you know your phone its not hard bricked. There's hope!!! Let it charge for other 12+ hours and you should see the blinking red led becoming continuous. Then you could try flashing a kernel and a custom recovery, if it works you can try flashing a ROM. Alternatively you can try to flash a stock ROM via flashtool.
Anyway now you know the phone it's alive, keep trying and you will able to bring it back to life.
Many thanks for you pro.... but usb not recognized or appear like "Qualcomm driver ..any advice ....any way I could leave it in charger and try again....Thanks for ur reply...
Maybe you can try, if you didn't already, to install the latest Sony flashtool, browse the installation folder, search for drivers and use the installation tool to reinstall the blue board 3 drivers (if you are using win 10 you may need to disable the driver signature to install the drivers properly).
I got the same problem with my Xpetia T, here I will report the steps I followed:
1. The phone didn't respond to any command, even to hard reset (pressing power button and volume + for 10s until you don't feel 3 vibrations, not recommended to do that, but I was a little frustrated).
2. I let it charging for a bit then I tried to flash a stock ftf file ( Installing the drivers just how I explained at the beginning) via flashtool. I managed to put the phone in flash mode but the procedure failed when the program started to flash the system file.
3. So I let it charge for 25h: in the first 5h no led showed up, then blinking red led, then continuous red led and finally continuous green led.
4. After that I retried to flash a stock ROM via flash tool but the procedure failed again when it was flashing the file system.
5. So I made a desperate try: I flashed all partitions but system via flash tool, then I extracted the system partition opening the ftf file with a zip manager and I used the fastboot functionality in flashtool to flash the system partition.
6. After I did that, I didn't see any improvement and I decided to put the phone in charge again and..... The kernel battery charging symbol appeared!!!
7. I let the phone charge over night then I booted it up! He booted in provisory mode and I managed to turn on USB debug and I gave permissions to my PC.
8. Then I installed TWRP via adb and so Linage 14.1 custom ROM.
The only problem I found it's my battery is practically dead, so I will try to replace it by my self in near future (this phone as known battery issues)
This is the method I followed, I don't know if is equally good for your case but I Hope this steps somehow help you.
