if you are using custom kernel like philz then you need to use the one that is for system, dont use preload if you are on stock rom. make a nandroid backup before trying.

Try, in cwm factory reset/wipe cache/wipe delvik/format system/format cache/format data data and flash 2.8 Essentials i9000 first then Base 2.8 (if bootloops pullout battery, put it back, enter recovery, reset, wipe, flash base again) and then Essentials again.

Unzip it and then push the file zImage to your phone with Heimdall while in download mode.
On command line, it's:
heimdall flash --kernel zImage
There's probably a way to do it in the GUI, too.
Hello!
I have installed Cocore kernell (8.2 and 8.6.4) a few times in my stock JB rom (LQL) but when I install CM 10.2 and if i need to go back to my stock rom i tried to restore my backup made it with the CWM that comes with cocore, it's pass without problems but when the rom start, stop a lot of process making impossible to work in it, and start in configuration wizard
someone have the same problem, there is a way to fix it?
Thanks in advance guys!!!
If you are on Android 4.3 after restoring your backup you need to reboot to recovery (recovery will change as you are on Cocore kernel) and then => format preload, then reboot, should work fine

Format /preload as ext4
download the cocore TWRP kernel, install it, (re-)reboot to recovery, go to advanced (on TWRP, yes, it needs to be TWRP), terminal command, press enter (to select the directory to work from, which should be "/"), and run
make_ext4fs /dev/block/mmcblk0p9
(DANGER: IF YOU FORMAT WHATEVER ELSE IT MAY BRICK YOUR DEVICE, just check that our /dev/block/mmcblk0p9 is 0p9 at the end, it CAN'T BE ANYTHING ELSE.)
Then, go back and onto mount menu, and mount /preload partition. And then just install whatever ROM you want.
I am saying this because re-installing the stock ROM from ODIN can be dangerous if the power it's cut out or the USB is suddenly disconnected. Just format preload partition (there is nothing critical there, so it's safe, or safer than ODIN that's it)

Yes, since some version of CM10.2 TeamJanice uses preload partition for swap. So it must be formated, if that do not work - flash stock JB.

Try to use CWM recovery from CoCore Kernel and see if you can flash custom ROM's.
But make a backup in CWM of your stock ROM, because that one from TWRP don't work in CWM.

Hmm, now you have custom recovery.
Enter in recovery, and if choose backup to sdcard1., and wit until finish that operation and receive message "backup complete".
Then, if you already have downloaded ROM and GApps, make wipe cache and dalvik and do a wipe of data/factory reset (be sure you have already backed up your apps with some backup app like Titanium Backup or other), go to install zip, choose zip from external card and proceed to flash, first ROM after that GApps.

Always after flashing a STOCK rom via Odin boot into recovery and do wipw data factory reset and wipe cache partition too in order to avoid the bootloop
Don't remove the launcher you need at least one to use your phone
Your data mount problem could be solved if you flash an Android 2.3.6 Firmware
(Try with ddq8 or ktm)

Flashing stock firmware with Odin will not delete your data from SD card. You will probably need to do factory reset, it will delete your contacts, sms, apps... But stuff from internal and external sd will remain there.
You bricked it because 4.4.2 uses preload partition for a swap, and it is partitioned in different way. And on PA 3.69 is probably different.
Or ROM zip of PA was corrupted.
thankyou and one more question

You can't brick phone with clearing cache. Did you wipe system partition? Try to install same ROM that you had (if you had).
Give us a screenshot of Odin fail. What exactly happen. And what is the full name of md5 that you put in pda of Odin. Try different version of Odin too.

ROM is fine. And you was on GB or JB before? If you was on GB then this problem you got is normal. You must be on JB (flash JB firmware) if you install JB ROM.
And again, if you get FAIL on Odin DO A SCREENSHOT AND POST IT HERE. To see what cause that fail. Left part of this screenshot is a log http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-gkWcapOu2...gingerbread+s5570jpq8+samsung+galaxy+Mini.jpg
Blue, where it says Message.
This is for other phone, do not pay attention on that, I just told you what I need to see.

And no, you must install Firmware not, not ROM. Because you probably installed JB ROM over GB. That is why you do not have working recovery.
Finally unbricked !!!
