[Q] CM 10 issues - HTC Desire C

Im using "[STABLE][ROM][4.1.2][JZO54K] CyanogenMod10 | BUILD #3" for few weeks now and I find is much much better than the stock ROM i had, despite the issues im facing.Big thanks to the developer for resolving the issues (had been following CM9 development as well).
Now to the issues im having."WARNING: It might get lengthy"
The wifi seems to be quite "moody" as it connects when it pleases. The airplane mode trick doesn't for me most of the time.i need to reboot and then i find my wifi is connected.Once i disconnect it it may or may not reconnect without the reboot.(hence moody)
The 3g also troubles me.I need to turn it off and on again and again. It just sleeps when not in constant use and refuses to wake up without disconnecting.
I also have to confirm a certain behavior of my phone after flashing. When i reboot my phone or do a turn off - turn on it hangs to a white screen with HTC written on it in green. So to start my phone i go into boot loader menu and select recovery. Now what selecting recovery does is loads my CM. im not sure whether its supposed to be like this.
here are the steps i followed (did it more than once to be sure)
1. Unlocked BootLoader
2. Rooted my phone
3. Installed CWM recovery
4. Followed the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265060
Any help is appreciated. Also im open to alternative equally awesome ROMS.

yeah these are known bugs, we can't do anything against it now

For the wifi issue,
Turn on the airplane mode while the wi-fi is on so that when you turn airplane mode off,the wi-fi connects automatically..this works for me all the time...
Turning wi-fi off before switching on airplane mode and turning it back on after switching off airplane mode doesn't work all the time...
Hope this helps

Well the airplane mode trick works for me every time...But if its not working for try this
@webhijacker told me this ...Thank him
Turn on WiFi(duh)
When authentication problem occurs just tap on your WiFi SSID
Then tap forget ...Then turn WiFi off (Phone's WiFi not the router)
then switch it ON again & put your password, press OK
BAAM!! You will be connected to your WiFi in seconds
+No reboot required
And this method is confirmed working by many users
OH and for equally awesome roms
Try PAC MAN ROM BY @penguin449
Darkbreed III BY @addictz10
MiniProvisionMOD V2 BY @for811
Miui V5 BY @nikhil16242

Thanks for the workarounds. Luckily wifi and 3g both are working fine since my last reboot.(hope it stays this way :fingers-crossed.
@LaKsHaY1997 thank you for the alternatives. They all look good. But for now i think ill stick to CM 10.
Also my question from previous post regarding the behavior at boot time.I still don't know whether its supposed to be like that or somethings wrong.Because currently i cannot go into recovery as selecting recovery boots me into CM 10.

hmm.. I don't know about booting behavior but if you want to boot into recovery
you can try this: Make sure that your phone is off then connect it to your PC using USB cable
then It will automatically boot in recovery
OR
Press and Hold vol down button+Power button until htc screen comes up

Vol down + Power takes me to the bootloader menu with four options, "Recovery" as one.Selecting "Recovery" boots into CM 10.Also this is the only way i can turn my phone on to go into CM 10.Normally turning on just freezes at the HTC screen (white background with HTC in green) so to turn it on i HAVE to use the recovery option from bootloader.

Help - Phone keeps booting to Bootloader

So..I think this might be a trackball issue and i'll explain everything that is going on.
1) Decided 2 days ago to reboot my phone
2) Phone booted into Bootloader automatically
3) Volume up and down didn't work to select anything and the power button wasn't working either.
4) Rebooted again by pulling battery, loop back to number 2
5) Rebooted via fastboot (fastboot-windows reboot)
6) Success - loaded OS, con - Safe Mode - All buttons work (Volume, Power, trackball is a little wonky)
7) Rebooted phone to see if I could get out of safe mode. No luck
8) Goto number 2
9) Posting on this forum
10) Question - is there a hack out there that I can use to disable the trackball...i think the trackball is what keeps putting me in the bootloader as well as safemode. Returning my phone is not an option for the next few months since i'm now living in the philippines. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I honestly think this is a trackball issue so wiping and reflashing the rom just seems pointless at this point. Is there a way to force my Nexus one out of safe mode through a fastboot cmd? Looking for your input.
Thanks for your support here is what i'm running:

Nep, I can't, I can't boot into download mode, and i can't do wipe
It's so complicated for me
That's weird. I assume the power button seems to be faulty. Were you running a stock rom? Did that happen out of the blue?

My Pc can't read the usb phone, I looked for all solution, and I tried them all, no hope
so im here needing ur help
thank you
What if you pull out battery for some minutes and then try to start your phone? Doesn't work either?
And my other questions? What did you do before that boot loop happened? Are you running stock ROM and stock recovery?
Btw you don't have to quote each post, it is easier for reading
I give you a summary of the situation
I have a 9305 Black edition SIII, it restarts in a loop, and I can not charge the battery gets stuck with low battery and reboute yet, I even tried a different battery type EB-L1G6LLU and it lasts for two week almost;
The download mode does not work, every time I enabled it restarts,
The recovery mode to wipe the same, it does not even appear,
I tried to connect via keis Odin and the other failure of the operation
I even tried to change the connector, the same thing
Frankly I do not know what to do, If you have a tip, hint is welcome
What did you do before that boot loop happened? Are you running stock ROM and stock recovery? or all custom? If you pull out battery and put it back in, does the phone start on its own without you pressing the power button?
I tried any solution possible in Internet and form from the world wide.
My motherboard are dead so, I have only one solution it's to buy a other.
Thank you to be here and answing
Sent from my HUAWEI G7-L11 using XDA-Developers mobile app

Wifi hangs after some hours until reboot (Stock Rom)

Hi,
I'm using an One M7 with latest OTA stock rom (5.0.2 with Sense 6.0 and kernel 3.4.10-g6388905) and it "loses" my wifi passwords after some hours after booting. The password entry in the connect list is then empty and it is not possible to enter a password there. I then have to reboot and then for some hours all passwords are there (without reentering them!) and Wifi works. The next day it is unable to log into Wifi.
Sometimes even the telephone is unable to make a call then.
I tried a soft reset, but it doesnt helps.
Is the only way to factory reset it? Are there newer stock roms, than the one I already got via OTA? It came after the last OTA, I think.
I don't want to miss Sense, and as I found there are no working Android 6 roms out...(even without Sense not).
Regards,
Stefan
Hi,
I did a complete factory reset and now its the same...
Has anybody any idea to not throw it away?
I found out, that sometimes activating the Wifi Hotspot and then deactivativating it (when it is not completely on, which doesn't work then) and activating Wifi works again ithout the reboot. But this doesn't do the trick always.
Stefan
Has no one any idea what to do?
Updating firmware?
Man I dont think anyone's alive in this forum. You can see if it's an app doing it by booting into safe mode. But you should just wipe the cache. So turn off phone. Hold volume down and power button until you get the boot loader. In boot loader scroll down using the volume button to recovery. Then press power button to select. The screen will go black but wait it will eventually boot into recovery. Then scroll down to delete cache. Hit power button. Scroll to reboot, hit power button and you are done. See if that works. If not in recovery you can do a REAL factory reset. Good luck.

Power Off Marshmallow?

I have Marshmallow 6.0.1 installed on my Nook HD Plus. It has the problem of having to hold the power button in until it shuts down ( just selecting the power off selection of the power off menu results in a reboot). I can create a script shortcut that uses "poweroff" from busybox to shut it down. ("Reboot -p "results in a reboot......"shutdown" does not exist with my version of busy box.... and I have read that "halt" just shuts down the CPU without removing power. The "poweroff" command works but you have to hold the physical button down for a while for power up to occur when you want to turn the Nook back on. Does anyone know if it is safe to use the "poweroff" command in this fashion? Thanks.
rebooting when choose power off
I've encountered the same oroblem with this ROMs: lineage-14.1-20171216-UNOFFICIAL-ovation.zipand aosp_ovation-ota-N2G48H.180212.zip.
And on aosp_ovation-ota-N2G48H.180212.zip Wi-Fi connection getting lost after rebooting and need entering password again..

With the AOSP ROM, if you don't mind Xposed, you might try the APM+ module. That allows you to basically rewrite the power menu and "fixed" the problem on one AOSP 7.1 ROM I was looking at. Can't say if it would work for sure, and it might not work at all on Lineage (probably would need to disable any LNOS extended power menu options first to have any chance of working there). A backup before trying would be good.
"Power off" causes Reboot
I've changed four ROMs:
cm_ovation-ota-NMF26Q.161222
aosp_ovation-ota-N2G48H.180212
lnos_ovation-ota-NJH47F.171021
lineage-14.1-20171216-UNOFFICIAL-ovation
also tried from terminal #reboot -p
but all the same.
May be "Cyanoboot universal bootloader" from emmc-cwm-early3.1.img makes it?

Every ROM from CM 12.1 on has this issue, or similar. Sometimes there is a reboot. Sometimes the tablet just hangs on shutdown with only backlight on. Some newer ROMs boot into recovery when "Restart/Reboot" is selected. No one has a fix except for the possibility of the Xposed module I suggested to you. I know for a fact it does not work with CM 12.1 (in fact, the Xposed installer app causes screen blinking). I have tried it with an AOSP 7.1 ROM and got it to work, but it may be a one-off.
If you don't want to try the Xposed module then your only recourse is to hold the power button in until the screen goes dark. That's a "shutdown".

I need help lol after flashing in odin

Hi all, this is sadly my first thread in xda, sadly because two things: for being a help-ask thread and because the reason im posting it:
So i decided to flash the new ASIG firmware to my S10, and I don't know what went wrong because odin flashed all right. when i rebooted my device did the key combo to get into recovery mode but it didn't work. Can't pass from the first boot screen because it keeps rebooting
some info to feed your sugestions:
-i was rooted and running a custom rom (August securitypatch on BeyondRom)
-patched AP file in magisk
-ianmacd TWRP
I have tried to get it into download mode, recovery mode, normal OS, magisk boot.... nothing works it keeps rebooting. I remember the battery was like 60~70 % and have been like 7 hours and keeps rebooting.
Also i have tried to get it to boot in download mode waiting till screen goes black pressing voldown and bixby and catching the right moment to plug the cable in it and stops rebooting but doesn't boot either. If i press power button starts again rebooting and the same happen if i disconnect-reconnect or free-press any of the button combo even for one second...
so i have been tweaking my devices like 3 years and this is the first time i think i screwed up one, i always tought it was not possible (hope don't) but this time i think i made it
Do I? there is no fix?
i'm waiting to the phone gets fully discharged to see if powered off can i get it to boot into download mode and fla**** again
is there another way to get it to go into download mode? like old phones with the usb jig
it is a way to turn it off??
do you know what could be the reason to get in this state?
sorry for too much questions but i had a s7 edge before and i messed with it a lot, one day deactivated oem unlock, flashed wrong custom roms and broke it (software way) a lot of times and i always was able to get into download mode and fix it but this time i can't get it to work
so please help me and thanks for read and try to help (if anybody) lol r.r :crying::crying::crying:
FIXED
i'm happy to have been right, its hard to hard brick a device hehehe just after some minutes after (panic atack) post battery went out of energy pressed key combo comected cable to pc and booted un DM im sorprised because did not lost a byte of data
When the S9-S10 Starts bootlooping and won't go to DWNLD mode or Recovery, Just hold Power + Vol DWN + BIX for 5 seconds, release, repeat for ten seconds, release, Repeat,
After that the "upload mode" should appear. and you can just hold Power+Volume Down until the phone reboots. This time the keys will finally boot you into the desired mode...
