Just thought I'd post this in case others are having the same issue
After enabling LTE, I was having a problem with my facebook stuff not loading. I went into the apn settings and changed the apn protocol from ipv4/ipv6 to just ipv4 and it fixed my problem and I'm still getting the same speeds

I was having the same issues with at&t's PTA APN until I changed to v4 only too.

This is good to know. I was having similar issues. Will have to give this a try
its not data issues with tmobile, its issues with facebook(and a few other apps/sites). facebook claims to be ipv6 compatible, both app and site, but really both facebooks app and site have issues with ipv6, since they started ipv6 compatibility.
I have mine set to ipv4/ipv6 and I have zero issues with FB.

I recently got my vivid and when I got it the lte wasn't working so I found what I needed to change the apn and I copied everything verbatim and now my mms isn't working. I made sure everything was correct and even deleted the apn and redid it but still my pictures get stuck in a continuous sending loop. Any help would be appreciated. Here are screenshots of my settings, maybe I missed something?

Just do this...
1) go to your local att store
2) ask for an LTE compatible sim (if you have one skip to 3)
3) ask them to enable LTE on your phone...no you won't be charged extra, no your plan won't be changed...everything will be the same except you now have LTE (this can also be done over the phone)
4) use the stock (PTA) apns
5) enjoy LTE and mms
Again...nothing above will cost you money (well...I guess there's gas) you will keep your plan...no hidden fees or extra charges or higher cost for phone bill...EVERYTHING THAT RELATES TO MONEY WILL STAY THE SAME

I have all that done already. Just left the att and they couldn't figure it out

So you don't have lte then...your using hspa+ (which shows as 4g I believe) Its impossible to set up lte by your self...because att has to enable it for your number...you can set up mobile internet on your own but you can't set up lte on your own (unless you hack into att systems and change it your self )
Just call att and tell them to enable lte for you...then use stock apns and enjoy download speeds of over 20mb/s (assuming you have late where you live)

I have LTE and I got everything working. When I got the phone the apn was programmed only to run on the hspa+ to save battery life and so I just went and changed the apn and enabled the LTE again (i do have it where I live I get between 25mb/s to 38mb/s depending on time of day) but when I changed the apn my mms stopped working so I just decided to delete all the apn's on the phone and start over and now everything is working as it should. That also seemed to fix the random restarts cause I haven't had a single restart since I've done that though may just be coincidence

Thanks for the tip. I was having the same issues with MMS not sending. So I deleted all the other APNs and just set up the one for att LTE and it worked great! Thanks again!!! That was bugging the hell out of me.
LTE is live in Atlanta area today! Works great in Sandy Springs, Buckhead as well as Atlanta downtown, that is where I tested so far! I'm literally getting it all over, not a single drop!
Edit: On T-Mobile

Nothing here in Duluth but I get pretty bad service in my house anyways. Hopefully it extends into Johns Creek. I guess I'll know tomorrow.
Please forgive my ignorance but what other changes have you made? I have followed the guide to no avail. I have created a new apn with the fast.t-mobile.com settings, changed my build.prop and the apns-config file. The only thing I haven't done is a factory reset however I read that that is not necessary. Is that true? In your apn settings what are the *s in the password and server? I am stock rooted 4.2.2 with the .33 radio. Thanks in advance

open dialer and dial *#*#INFO#*#* it will open menu tap phone info and change it to LTE/GSM auto.
Then when it connects to LTE the 4G icon will be displayed instead of H.
This will need to be done at every reboot unless you edit the build.prop.

@Emama Thank you for your display of searching skills.
If only there was a way for us to put threads, like you have found, up at the top of the forum.
Kind of like sticking it up top with a thumb tack, you know for all to see.

Both my phone and operator supports the 4G network. But my phone cant connect to it. Any suggestions how to fix?

Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
Yes~

Suggest you take the phone to your network and let them check your network settings .
jje
well..
you operator may support it but that doesn't mean you are in an area that has 4G.
make sure you have a 4G enabled sim. if your sim is pre- 2011 get a new one.
some providers dont inlcude 4G in there plans and require an added payment to enable it. speak with your provider to see.
another thing you could do is go on your providers page and make sure your within range of the 4G network. keep in mind that the range of 4G is limited and some towns don't have it all togther.
try this:
settings-> more settings -> mobile networks -> network mode and make sure its set to Auto Mode.
make sure you have all the APN settings required.
they are automatic for the most part but can fail.
to re install them delete all the APN settings and search for networks.
some ROMs do not support the 4G modem and cause issues so be careful when flashing.
if the worse comes to worse and you are tech savvy take a look at this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010116
but be careful and good luck
For some reason my network doesn't seem as stable as my note 4 was when I reboot my phone it takes awhile to connect and someone texts fail to send and also MMS don't download unless I go to my carrier settings and update device config then MMS downloads

Duplicate text's is an issue many of us have had. Please let Sprint know you're experiencing the issue here: https://community.sprint.com/baw/thread/179054
Also, try switching to LTE and see if anything changes. I've been on LTE since N5 and have never had issues. I'm also not ruling out #blameSprint as a culprit.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
I switched it to LTE rebooted and still same problem
It takes a while for my phone to connect to, by the time I enter my password and view the home screen signal is back. I have experience text message error, even when I am in an area with 4 bars LTE. I haven't had any MMS issues yet. This may be due to Sprints abysmal network.
Seemed to temp fix mine by using 3g only texts send no problem and i can actually stream pandora without it skipping every second
Can't believe internet is faster on 3g
That's a network issue on Sprints part. Buddy of mine had an S4 with no LTE but 3G worked. The sim card ID was incorrect on their end. They reset it correctly and everything works.

Yeah my phone is working perfect with the only 3g option on hopefully they fix it soon
