Do you have a 4g enabled sim card?

Yes~

Suggest you take the phone to your network and let them check your network settings .
jje

well..
you operator may support it but that doesn't mean you are in an area that has 4G.
make sure you have a 4G enabled sim. if your sim is pre- 2011 get a new one.
some providers dont inlcude 4G in there plans and require an added payment to enable it. speak with your provider to see.
another thing you could do is go on your providers page and make sure your within range of the 4G network. keep in mind that the range of 4G is limited and some towns don't have it all togther.
try this:
settings-> more settings -> mobile networks -> network mode and make sure its set to Auto Mode.
make sure you have all the APN settings required.
they are automatic for the most part but can fail.
to re install them delete all the APN settings and search for networks.
some ROMs do not support the 4G modem and cause issues so be careful when flashing.
if the worse comes to worse and you are tech savvy take a look at this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010116
but be careful and good luck

Problem with my N1, I cannot use on 3g

Hi all! I am new here and my english isnt very good but here we go.
When i use my cell on 3g the signal fall inmediately. I only use it on 2g for that reason. Help me please.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
You can try forcing your phone to 3G. On your phone dialer, type in *#*#4636#*#* select phone settings, then scroll down and set preferred network type to WCDMA only...
Make a note of the setting before you change it, so that you can switch it back, if you need to...

I use gsm. I am from dominican republic.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Who is your carrier?
Do don't have the AT&T version by any chance, do you?
What are the last 4 digits of the serial number?
9100 or 9110?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Sorry but what number? Where is that number?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Under your battery...
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
My serial number is 9100
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
That's the T-mobile version.
Compare the frequency range of your phone with the operating frequencies of your carrier...
Though, I'm not really sure it masters for GSM (I think the range is the same for both phone versions - 850/900/1800/1900)
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
I think that is not the problem couse when I select 3g this put it next to the signal but just for e few minutes, then the signal fall down. I need to use 2g for the signal not fall down.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Ok. So you have the T-mobile / International version of the phone (the only other version is the AT&T version). The version you have supports the following frequencies for 3G : 900MHz, 1700MHz and 2100MHz.
What Carrier do you have (who is your phone service through?) Doing a quick search shows that CLARO (CompaƱia Dominicana de Telefonos, S.A.) is using 850MHz for their 3G. Not sure who you have. (http://92.52.91.22/maps/network.php...ners_info.php&hidcmappath=gsma/do/21989/comb/).
Also do this:
Type *#*#4636#*#* on your phone.
Select 'phone information'.
Scroll down to where it says 'set preferred network type'
What does it say?
My currier is orange Dominicana and their frequencies are 900hz. If i select 3g this put it next to signal but then the internet fall down, when the correct is that if in 3g does not work kept on 2g. But not is so, when the signal fall down is necesary put it in 2g if I whant to continue using the Internet.

WCDMA preferred ?

When I do #*#*info*#*# I see my phone is set to WCDMA preferred. Is this the best choice ?, I live in an area where my phone spends a lot of time with only gprs coverage and data transfer in gprs mode seems to be very flaky, works sometimes but often nothing comes through ?
Sent from my HTC Incredible S using XDA Premium App
Preferred is the best choice if your area doesn't have strong 3g/4g signal. Where I live I have strong 3g/4g signal so I set my phone to WCDMA only.
Only downside is when you hit a dead area with a weak signal you lose all connection because the phone is set to work on 3g/4g only. Can't make a call or surf the web.
If you don't want your phone switching to gprs set your phone to WCDMA only.

Thanks.
What about GSM/CDMA auto (PRL) I seem to recall from my HTC Hero days that people were recommending to set to that, but can't remember the reason (might have been a battery reason)

I never tested it out but supposedly preferred option favors 3g/4g and the auto option favors edge. Auto option saves battery because its looking for a weaker signal. There is a link below that talks about the option on the Nexus One in more detail.

[Q] How do I get Tmobile 3G connection on Family Mobile?

Hey Guys,
I just got a new Xperia SP (C503) that is factory unlocked. I am currently using it on Walmart Family mobile (T-Mobile) plan but I can only get Edge data connection speeds. Is there a way to get 3G on this phone on the Family Mobile network.
Have you tried adjusting the network settings found in settings/more/network mode then set it to wcdma preferred(gsm)
Once changed a reboot will be needed.
If you have done this then maybe somebody else can help

That is the setting I have it on. I am wondering if it has something to do with the APN settings. I have called the Family Mobile support but they weren't helpful. Can someone help? Anyone?
To get the APN look under xperia in settings for get internet and MMS settings sent to phone.
Again if you have done this I really don't know....I am assuming your area is/has 3g coverage/ready

C5303 isn't compatible with T-Mobile for 3G or LTE. You could get 3G on AT&T, or if you want to stick with Family Mobile you would need the C5302 to get 3G.
Have a look at gsmnation.com to check compatibility.

Moto X Not Switching to LTE

So I picked up an unlocked XT1053 GSM developer edition a month or so ago. I got on Net10 and everything seems fine except for one issue.
When I am in an HSPA+ area and come into a known LTE area the phone doesn't seem to switch to LTE right away. If I toggle airplane mode on and off I get full LTE with good signal and it holds strong until I'm back in a weak area. If I am in an LTE area for a while after about 30 min or so it will finally switch on it's own, but I would think it should be much faster without using airplane mode. Anyone have any ideas?
Call your service provider and provide them your IMEI so they can provision your device.

LTE works on my phone though, it just doesn't switch right away. It seems like if HSPA+ is even one dB better then it stays on it. If I toggle airplane mode I get strong LTE. Is that a provisioning issue?
Is there a way with APNs or anything to make LTE take priority if it's present?
It could be the provisioning. You sim may not be fully provisioned. If that doesn't fix it.
You can change it to lte only.
Install a app called any cut. Create a short cut for testing. Select the first option and at the bottom change it lte only. See if it works. If not then the network isn't allowing iy

Well I ordered an actual nano Sim from net10 since they just got them. It will be here tomorrow so I'm sure that when I transfer my service to it my account will get provisioned. If I still have problems I'll try what you mentioned.

[Q] No LTE on t-mobile Note 4 with AT&T service

I'm using an unlocked note 4 on AT&T(phone was to t mobile when I got it) I can't seem to get LTE does anyone know why or how to get LTE to work? 4G speeds are really slow too.

Are you using service through AT&T or using a AT&T sim through Straight talk or some other subsidiary? I would also look into the apn settings and make sure it is setup properly.

Easy fix. Use the apn from my screen shots below.
The use LTE Discovery to reboot your modem. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.simplyadvanced.ltediscovery
Then enjoy your LTE

Did you download and use the LTE Discovery App? It needs to reset your modem. Also double check to make sure you entered the apn exactly the same. No phantom spaces, etc. There should be no spaces in the "apn type".
If you still aren't getting data I have one more apn you can try.

I'm gnna put screenshots, are you able to get lte ?
I have no problem getting LTE on my Note 4 using AT&T'S network.
Screen shots below. I gets decent speeds, not the crazy 40 mbs like some people get, but that is mainly because of the area I live in.
If I am closer to the city I get 35 to 50 mbs down load and 10 to 15 upload.

I am using a T-Mobile Note 4 on ATT network and have no issues. First of all make sure LTE is enabled on your number/simcard. If not call the customer care and ask them to enable LTE on your line. They will ask your device IMEI number and then enable it. If not u will only get a 4G signal on your phone
If you are having trouble getting data on your device, then use these APN settings

I have tried that one already :/
The service rep said this "You are getting LTE on your other lines. Because the device that being use on the line is sync on your account. Since the device that is sync on the line that ends with 1521 is the iPhone 6 Plus. The Note 4 does not receive data service. Because it is registered on the iPhone 6 plus." how legit is that?
If u have a phone on contract on that line, then I use guess it is difficult. Or you can go to an ATT store and say that u lost your sim card. Ask for a new one and say that it is for an Android LTE smartphone.

According to this thread, you also have to go to settings, more networks, mobile networks, network mode and change to LTE/WCDMA/GSM.
I just bought a T-Mobile Note 4 to use on AT&T, but I am waiting for an unlock code. I really hope I don't have any issue.

I know people are successfully getting LTE on T-mobile Note 4 on AT&T service, though I am not sure which APN settings they're using. Looks like there are at least 3 in this thread to try... but it may be a block from AT&T ? I can't imagine that's the case, but I honestly don't know exactly how much control they (AT&T) have over what bands a given sim card can receive if its not matched to the imei on file in their system? I guess a lot?
OFF TOPIC: How much did you guys pay for the unlock codes? (curious)
LTE works great on this phone with AT&T service. Been using it without issue for months.
I don't know why this person is having issues. Only thing I can think is that the Sim card is bad.
Paid $30 for the unlock.
My AT&T account doesn't even show a smart phone. See the screen shot below. As long as it says LTE device then it's not AT&T causes the problem.

I don't know why I'm having issues honestly. I'm trying everything that's thrown at me , I even got a new Sim card yet no LTE. I don't even care if it shows LTE indicator , but it's that my speeds are so slow. 2-5mbps download while on my iPhone 6plus I would get 50mbps download.
