NFC suddenly stopped working

Hi,
NFC in my HTC One suddenly stopped working. I can no longer detect any tags or cards, that earlier had no problem with. I used, reading tags, writing, tags, Android Beam, now nothing works. Of course I tried rebooting phone and I checked in settings if NFC is enabled.
Do you have any ideas what might be wrong?
And it starded working again... suddenly. I don't know what it is about.

I think Android Beam is not included into Sense ROMs. Anyway, on my HTC One the NFC icon is shown on the status bar when it is enabled (I'm using Android 4.3 stock).

[Q] Navigator Bar/Status Bar isn't working

Hy guys
A friend of mine got a problem with his HTC One M7. His problem is, that when he tries to pull down the navigator bar or status bar (however you will call it ) it doesn't work. All notifications are shown in the status bar, also battery, clock etc. If he tries to open the bar, to get to the notifications or the quick toggles, he can't do that, the screen just don't react!
This happened since the last update of android (I thinke he's running 4.4.3 or 4.4.4). Before everything worked perfect.
The curious thing is, when he put his phone into landscape mode, he can gain access to the notifications and everything!?! But in normal mode not, very confusing...
Someone having the same issue? Or did someone solve this problem?
I really appreciate your help. Thanks mates

Sounds like a hardware issue with the top part of the screen.

In landscape mode everything works, and it happened after a software update. The screen reacts if you go to landscape mode and touch the screen (in a game or youtube)

Just because part of the screen works doesn't mean the whole screen works. To test it out you could enable touch points in developer settings and see if it is reg the touch. Or you could do a full wipe and flash of the stock software.

The problem isn't the notification bar itself but the top of the screen in portrait mode which is needed to detect a touch to activate the notification pull down. It must be a hardware problem. A relative of mine has the same issue, however on his it sometimes wants to work sometimes it doesn't. Try the HTC diagnostic menu, open the dialer and type *#*#3424#*#*
Then use the line drawing test and try to draw a line in the upper part of his phone. You may find that where the notification bar would be no line can be drawn there... If that's the case then it most likely is a faulty digitizer.
To test it further try going to the Play Store in landscape mode and try a swipe from the left it normally shows the hidden menu from the left in the Play Store. Like my relative you may find that the menu only shows when you swipe in from portrait mode and not in landscape.

Galaxy S5- How Do I Enable Softkeys?

navigation bar
hello, my new phone just arrived.
i'd like to enable the navigation bar (software buttons) to give some rest to my thumb (less vertical movement).
I'd accept even an app if it's going to work like the original one, that is: to "dock" on the bottom of the screen, actually making the viewing screen smaller.
Yes, I'm ok to sacrifice screen space.
I tried few apps and they overlap the content of the screen, actually preventing me to see or tap on important parts.
Is there any non-root method? or any rooted method?
Any help is appreciated
in the end i decided to root and use the build.prop method.
Very nicely working, only minor problem found is with original camera app: the navbar doesn't hide and overlaps some controls.
I guess the problem to exists because samsung's apps don't care about the navbar, none of their phone have it.
I tried to first solve with tasker, but the plugin i bought (for the action was missing) didn't work. (refunded)
Then i searched for an xposed module, and found this "force immersive mode". Much better, but the controls are still cut in a half.

Persistant Nav Bar

Hi,
I'm currently searching for a way to make my S10's navigation bar persistant in every app. (also in fullscreen apps)
If you watch a youtube video or play a game on a device without hardware keys its not possible anymore to switch instantly.
When i remember how easy and fast it was on my s7 edge, a single click from everywhere got me back on my homescreen and a double tap on the menu button switched to the last app.
In my S10's settings i found something in setting/display/navigationbar but the gestures are not really an replacement. (especially when you use your phone with one hand)
I don't know how bad screen burnin is when i have the bar on the whole time but if the buttons where black it would not be a problem i think?
cheers

Auto hide navigation bar

Hi all, I have my Z20 for more than 1 year now, the nav bar always was auto hidden, until recently I started to use the Game Space and after that the nav bar is always present (except on some apps/games). I really don't like it, the screen looks horrible with it, and I searched all the settings options and couldn't find any option to do it. I also looked inside the Game Space itself but found nothing...
Anybody knows how to set the auto-hide back? Hopefully not having to root the phone or install 3rd party apps? I did activated the developer option on settings, but I don't see nothing there related to it...
Thanks in advance.
