Anyone with a spare 32a willing to sell

I was searching on ebay for a 32A and they are too expensive, I'm trying to get an used one, hoped somebody from here would sell me one in good conditions.

Post in XDA Marketplace.. There would also be an assumption that most people here are still using theirs.. That's why they're here.
Post like this in the wrong section clutter our already cluttered work area.

well great I asked BSSC today about it and they had no info on release - so if you say its out then I should have no issues getting it when they document my return of the X10 - x10 is such a garbage phone... glad to get the acer and root that bad boy

i have a 32A, cover has some slight cracks in it. but i was going to buy an OEM case off ebay for $30AU to restore it to new. phone was originally black, changed the cover to white. lcd is in immaculate condition, always have a screen protector on.
i live in melbourne australia. the phone is rooted and is running android 2.1 through htcclay's SuperBad ROM.
i'm looking to buy a desire as a replacement

[Q] Atrix HD Dissambly Guide... anyone?

Hello, I had a 2 year story with Android, I had a Cliq XT in 2010, my girlfriend lost it... and then another Cliq XT, Defy, Atrix 4G, Droid 2 Global, then in May 2012, i bought a RAZR XT910, my girlfriend (yes, the same) used, then it froze, and she removed the battery (DAAAMNNN!!!) and she broke the flex cable from the battery, i bought a replacement, and sold it 3 months ago, then I had a Nokia, she took it and lost it, again...
So, i bought just today an Atrix HD, I'm just happy because its much better than my last phone (Nokia-brick)... but, it has the LCD broken (for 99 dollar, i thinked it was a bargain).
My question is: there's a guide for dissambly or something for the LCD replacement? I opened before an Atrix 4G, the RAZR to replace the battery and the Defy to replace the LCD, so i'm not afraid to open the Atrix HD, but it could be great to have a guide for the ATRIX HD MB886, i looked everywhere but i didn't find nothing.

I searched here (xda) and found nothing, i google it and received results for buying lcds replacements, in youtube, received results for the Atrix 4G, i havent looked to other forums...
Yes, i talked to her about that, my first Cliq XT cost me 300 dollar in that time with the 16GB microsd, phone cover, and screen protector, she lost it, broke the lcd and digitizer another Cliq XT, then it broke the digitizer from the Atrix 4G, thank god i bought another one for parts (hardbricked), she lost a Droid 2 Global i bought as a backup phone, broke the battery flex from my 1-month old RAZR XT910... i'm tired of it... even worse, she lost my Nokia brick phone, damn, but i still love her...
This is going to be my secret phone for now...

[Q] Rooting my device

Is it necessary to go through all of the pain of unlocking the bootloader of my device to root it? Or is there some easier way that allows me to bypass this, as it all seems kind of unnecessary to me?

As far as I know, it's not necessary to unlock the bootloader to root your phone, in fact, I rooted my AHD BEFORE I unlocked the bootloader. As for the ways, you can use MythTools, just search them on the forum.

See above.....though you're lucky because it's much easier to root these days. Anyone remember when we were doing Samba mounts with Linux for root?
Your phone has to be rooted to unlock the bootloader, and I'd advise you to unlock your bootloader now. It's easy and it can save your ass if anything goes wrong with the phone.
There's no reason not to unlock the bootloader unless you can't because it's a work phone or warranty reasons or whatever.
Warranty issues aside, almost every part for this phone can be found for real cheap and the hardest repair is a cracked digitizer or lcd screen, both of which can be done by anyone for $20 in parts and 30 minutes of time. Only thing you might not easily find is a motherboard, but a broke screen used Atrix HD can be found on ebay for cheap and the board swapped from it.

I hear ya. I went "wtf, samba? At least I already run Linux, but this will suck for the average dude.”
I almost managed to get root using a modified samba method and my Defy. Probably could have if I looked into it farther, but rooting became so easy so fast I said f it....the bootloader was unlocked a month after I purchased the Atrix HD.

I picked it up about 1 year ago for 99 cents. Gonna have it for a year longer until the AT&T contract is up. Maybe longer than that if I don't see any phone that's really worth buying.
/I'd really like it if they took the Atrix HD, made the screen a bit bigger, and gave it the X's cpu and whatnot.

I had to install ubuntu to do rooting and one day later, we have one-click rooting method :silly:

I'm usually able to get a full days worth of crap in with the current KK roms, less if I'm on the internet a lot, but for just music, maps, and phone calls, I can get up to 2 days on a single charge with the EB20. But yeah, I agree...the EB40 should be the regular battery and there shouldn't even be a Maxx version...
Crap battery is the trade off for thinner phones that act as a fashion statement....I don't think any of us are that vain and would prefer a long lasting brick over a short lasting cd case. Blame Apple and hipsters.

Well, without internet It could last more than a day but I use it most of the time. I wouldn't complain too much about it If I could just buy the EB40 but... It doesn't ship to my country. so I guess I'd need to get a new phone soon. I'm pretty sure It won't be a hipster thing.
And since I have no money, I'll be with my AHD for a while, Lol.

Same here, except the shipping part . That sucks. I picked the Atrix HD for function over fashion....could have got a GS3 at the time, but I don't want a plastic Samsung. Hell, I've only had one friend that's actually liked their Samsung phone and that's a buddy with a Note 3 (and he'd like it if it felt more durable as well as not liking the OS tweaks...his previous phone was a RAZR HD Maxx and he liked that OS)

Well, the kevlar back looks really sexy. I wouldn't like a plastic samsung phone, even though a lot of people likes It, people's tastes are weird... The only thing I like of samsung is the #GALAXY11 Lol

After 7 days friend cracked my screen...

So we were out for one of my friend's birthdays last night. It was the end of the night and we were about to drive one of my other buddies home who had gotten pretty drunk. I had pulled out my phone to check GPS on where the car was. Suddenly the drunk friend raises his hands and tries to give me a hug and slaps the phone out of my hands. 7 day old phone is now broken :'(
I usually go naked with my phones because I'm not accident prone. I guess I didn't take into consideration the hazards of other people. Any advise on replacement?

No moto care for accidents?

Man mine broke the other day too. I've been making sure that everyone knows how fragile this phone is. A fall like the one mine took should not have broken the phone like it did.

Scenarios like this is why I purchased moto care. You never know when crap will happen.

It's funny you mention Moto Care since I was actually thinking about purchasing it earlier yesterday. But yeah no I don't have any insurance.

With last years moto x my friend got his replaced twice because he cracked his screen without moto care. They allowed him to design a new one. They use to be pretty good about it, I'm not sure that if they changed things but he is not the only one I've heard of that got a replacement without cost because of a cracked screen.

I'm in the same boat, wife claims she set it face down on a wooden end table, and when she checked on it some time later, the screen was spider webbed out. Ran naked because it seems all the decent cases are on backorder. I contacted Moto and they asked for pictures, I'll see how it goes.

That really sucks OP. Sorry about that.
My SGS3 lasted 2+ years before it hurtled out of my hand and shattered sliding feet away on its face when I got into a bike accident a couple weeks back. I got stitches too.
But now I'm getting the Moto X
Terrified of it breaking, might have to consider Moto Care. That bike accident is the only accident I've ever been in and it was my own fault. Braked too hard and had my phone in one hand with Navigation running. Gotta get a bike mount for the Moto X now too actually.

Did you buy it with an American Express card? If so they offer 90 days accident protection coverage with every electronics purchase. If not, check your card, they may offer something similar.
Also consider buying Moto Care and then reporting it broken after you buy it.

Motorola wouldn't do anything, no surprise there. Quoted $99 - $250 for a replacement. Wife will continue to use 2013 X until we can have that done.

Dude just log into Motorolas website and buy Motocare ... it is available for one month after your date of purchase. Report it after you buy it (wait a week or so).
if you go bare, buy the care!

Getting Nexus 6 Screen replaced....

Is there anyone on here that can replace just the screen on the Nexus 6 for less than $100 ? I lost my job a few weeks ago and I am looking for new employment, and to top that off I dropped my Nexus 6 and I saw someone else post about this as well, but I am looking to pay someone to do this that has successfully replaced the screen on a N6 before. Will attach pictures later if requested.

The screen is worth $175 by itself, sorry man. If you can get together the money you can contact Motorola and pay them the $175 ot get it sorted though.

that is definetly bad news. just use a non nexus phone for the meantime. use ur money to find employment first. so after getting a new job everything will be worth it

I have worked with the software side in Android for a long time, but doing hardware for me has always been a bit tricky. Don't I need specialised tools to remove the screen and and stuff ? I used to work a mobile repair shop and I used to flash phones from one carrier to another using CDMA workshop and we had a guy that acually repaired the phones and he seemed to have magnifying glass to see the little chips of glass in the screen, and different tools to remove the screen. I'm not saying I wouldn't do it, but it seems risky considering I don't have dummy phones to test it on first, and if I open that phone up and mess it up more, wouldn't Motorola refuse to replace the device for $175 ?

This is what I have been doing. I went to best buy and got a LG Transpyer and it sucks bad compared to my nexus 6. At the moment it will have to do until I get that phone fixed. I also have a LG G2 and that phones screen is cracked too.

Does anyone have a LG Nexus 5 they would like to get rid of that I could buy ? That would definitely be better than this. I have less than 100 at the moment, but I would definitely buy it.
