From what I have read about this mobile so far, it does not allow that. Atleast out of box. Devs might be able to "enable" it if the functionality is built-in but locked down.
Mentioned here as well. So best wait and see.
And by the way, welcome to xda-devs! Hope you like it here...
thanks ...

Any updates on this issue?
I would love to have my HD2 connected to TV using HDMI
i've read many articles about that but the only answer is NO, it isn't possible.
I don't think so, Tim.
I have a usb2.0->dvi adapter and I`m going to try it with my hd2 (android 2.2) within few days via micro usb 2 mini usb cable. But I`m pretty sure that this junk won`t work because of lack of drivers.
Nothing like that is going to work as of this moment. I have read that HTC is going to release a DLNA adapter for TVs to have access to streaming media, but it's not till around Feb of next year (and who knows what can happen between then and now). It seems it'll connect to the TV via HDMI cable and if you would rather not use it as a wireless streamer then you could just plug it in via cable (who knows how compatible it will all be though). So in a way it's closer than you think, but still far away and HTC could come up with some bogus excuse to not release it.
shame on htc...
Its here! The connectivity demo to end all connectivity demos - see what your Note 2 can do! Any questions feel free to ask
Make sure to use the time-stamped navigation links in the video description to get around.
Gear used in the video:
USB OTG cable
Externally powered USB hub (i-Rocks one)
Logitech K400 wireless USB keyboard/mouse combo
Xbox 360 for Windows controller
MHL adapter for Note 2
AllShare Cast Dongle
Datel Retro Wireless Controller - not available any longer as far as I can tell - keep an eye on Amazon and Ebay as it still appears there sometimes
Logitech "For Android" bluetooth keyboard
Logitech "For Android" bluetooth mouse (note that any HID profile bluetooth mouse should work)
Seagate GoFlex Satellite drive
Apps: N64oid, FPse, MX Player, Bubble UPnP, Wind Up Knight, USB/BT Joystick Centre
Beastwars bandcamp page - beastwars.bandcamp.com stream the whole album and purchase there with all proceeds going to the band!
Got to run now, but will add links to places to get some of the stuff a bit later on.
Thanks a lot, I really appreciate the time you put in to show off all these cool features. I'm still waiting on Verizon to release the Note 2 unfortunetly. When using the Allshare dongle does the multi-screen feature work. For example could you watch Netflix and browse the web, and if so is it smooth. Thanks again for the video.
Oh, not tried it to be honest! Can't believe that slipped my mind, I will test it later and let you know.
Can someone please sticky this
very good video mate, amazing phone when you think about it!

OK, tried it, but whenever you watch video it full-screens the video to the external display (it is still split screen on the device and you can interact with the other window, but I don't think that is what you were after?).

I think technically you would be seconding it, since I'm probably biased
is it possible to connect MHL adapter to USB hub (using a converter from 11pin microUSB to USB, if such thing does exists) so we can use HDTV mirroring and USB OTG simultaneously?

No, it looks like the Smart Dock for the Note 2 will allow for both simultaneously though.

Oh that actually sounds pretty nice being able to stream video(hopefully Netflix) to the TV, and still browse on the phone. I was actually kinda hoping there would be a way to do exactly what you said it does. Thanks for trying that out, the days till they release it on Verizon are slowing down even more now.

OK, cool!
I thought you wanted kinda a picture in picture/split screen deal on the TV, but even better if this was what you were after.

Had some requests via PM for information on pairing with PS3 controllers using OTG cables instead of the method that requires a PC, so thought I would post a link to this for those people and others:
What ROM are you used??

Pure stock with Root.
Using Nova Launcher with dock icons from ADW WP7 theme.
Is there a specific otg usb cable for the Note 2, more specifically t889 ? I had been searching every scenario , 5 pin, t889, etc. and can't find any that specifically mention for the Note 2. Meanwhile, I read posts and comments about people connecting the wrong usb otg and bricking their phone. What are you using? Thanks~

No, no specific cable, any USB OTG cable should work fine. Never ever heard of anyone bricking a device using a USB OTG cable - do you have links for these posts? I have to wonder what those people were doing if their phones bricked...
Hey everyone,
I got my Moto X last week and so far i love it but i can't seem to get OTG to work. I bought a cheap OTG cable from amazon and i'm trying to use my PS3 controller with this phone. The PS3 controller does light up for a second but the phone never seems to see any inputs from the controller. My Nexus 7 running (rooted) 4.2 can do this just fine. What am I doing wrong? My phone is stock, not rooted

I would guess that the ps3 driver is not built in to the stock kernel. Gonna have to wait for unlocked bootloaders and custom kernels.

I actually just tried my wired xbox controller and it appears to be working. weird.

Hey you're not the only one having issues with your PS3 controller. The OTG cable worked just fine on my Moto X, it's just the controller. I used my PS3 fight pad from Madcatz and that does the trick!
Hey everyone. I gotta say, the droid turbo is an incredible phone even without the promised 48 hour battery life. However, I can not find any info on support for MHL or not. I've got a pioneer radio (this one to be exact) that demands it and so far I can't get it to work. Any help/alternatives to MHL? Thanks.

When I looked for the spec everything I read kept referring to some form of casting or mirroring wirelessly. I am disappointed and pretty confident there is no MHL

I don't know about MHL, but it is compatible with WiDi, MiraCast and AllCast/AllShare.
Just turn on your WiFi then bring up the toggles from the notifications screen and you will see a Cast Screen option.

Yeah i knew that, but i don't know how to get the radio to communicate with my phone.
This is on Motorola site. Doesn't say what phone it works with but I would assume it would work with ours. Too bad it's out of stock for the $3 bucks they want I would have given it a shot.

Pretty sure that's for the older phones that had mini-HDMI ports on them.

I think it is too. Is there a way to stream to a chromecast without a network?
Any luck on this? I just recently bought a pioneer radio as well, and trying to do the same thing. I have everything connected, but it turbo doesn't play along. Have you made any progress with yours? Bought a new phone that does support mhl??

Droid Turbo doesn't support video out over a wired connection. Your best bet is to buy a Miracast dongle like the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter or Belkin Miracast Adapter and an HDMI coupler (Female to Female).
Connect the coupler to the HDMI sticking out of the radion and connect the adapter to the coupler. You'll need to provide power the wireless adapter as well.
For the Pioneer radio set the settings to HDMI connection type for AppRadio Mode, pair the Bluetooth from phone the radio and go to your display settings on your phone and connect to the wireless adapter.
PM me if you need more help.
I bought the phone a couple days ago, looking forward to using it! I wanted to know if there were any gamepad controllers like this: https://fliptroniks.com/5-best-gaming-controllers-for-oneplus-7-pro/ but for the 7t.
I had a Moga Hero Pro and it works fine on my OnePlus 7T.
Most of those should work on the 7T. Those seem generic and just rely on bluetooth for connection. Basically any non-iOS controller will work if it supports Dinput on bluetooth or USB (with USB-C OTG adapter).
XBOX Bluetooth works like a dream. im going to run a few test prints to attach the phone to it and will give you guys feed back later

Would any of the gamevice controllers work? The ones for the newer Samsung phones have usb-c, is that what I should get? I want something that I can play in public and not look stupid like those full-in controller ones.

Unless Gamevice makes a specific model that is labeled to fit the 7T, I would say avoid. I wouldn't know if the 7T's dimensions and port placement compare all that well with the Samsung Galaxy models, or the Pixels, supported by Gamevice.
Does it support wired gamepads?? can anyone confirm?
