Hi, i've done s-off using revone and installed a custom recovery in order to flash some ROMs but now i want to go back to the stock one. My CID is HTC_001 and it is UK nobrand.
I'd like to flash the last 4.1.2 stock rom, then flash stock recovery, then make the telephone S-On again with the state "Locked"
After that i'll try OTA update to 4.2.2 in order to see If all works fine
How can i do it? Help me please... If someone can find the last 4.1.2 stock rom and the stock recovery and give me the download, i'll Marry him lol
Thank you for your help

i can help you but i need more info
It would be better to flash 1.28.401.7 RUU under s-off.
Get latest firmware via OTA
And then go to lock bootloader and s-on.

EDIT:
I downloaded the RUU of 1.28.401.7 for my CID (HTC_001) from the link here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207874 )
Now I just plug the telephone in my computer and run the .exe?
Yes sir if it's correct you will be at full stock

You don't need a locked bootloader or S-On to get the OTA. Even after installing the OTA you will still have S-Off, but if you locked it and S-On before OTA, you have to downgrade to S-Off again.
For some reason I can not flash RUU from HTC Dev site. I do have HTC 64G dev edition. I tried with original recovery, and also unrooted. I get the OTA update but it wont install. Someone suggested that I need to lock my bootloader to flash ruu, but the phone came with unlocked bootloader.

I launch the RUU.exe, but when it say "going to bootloader" the telephone shut down and show the HTC logo. The problem is that it is stuck, and after 3 minutes the RUU say "Check that the telephone is connected to the PC" ... What can i do?
Remove imei from previous post plz!
Do you have the HTC drivers installed correctly???
If not download HTC sync from
http://www.htc.com/www/software/htc-sync-manager/
This will install all the correct drivers!
After it installs make sure it is completely shut down on your computer (if it starts up when you plug in your phone, shut it completely down again!!) Could interfere with your update

Hi,
Ok so I read a few threads on how to put phone back to stock as I'm sending it back. However a few questions haven't been cleared with me.
1- How do I do it. My CID is HTC_001. So I was thinking to flash that NAND Stock ROM on here and then install stock recovery and relock bootloader?
But when I love bootloader won't that wipe the phone so wouldn't it mess it up badly as this was rooted?
2 - if that worked will it get rid of the tampered image in hboot?
Thanks.
P.s. Ideally I want to get rid of this phone as it isn't really for me. I don't find it my kind of phone.

I read that. So what about the tampered thing. Will that go, because apparently RUU is the only way to get rid and this isn't the RUU way

Only way to get rid of the tampered bit is to flash stock recovery. HTC said they are putting an ruu for the dev edition on HTC dev soon.

It's true. The Tampered will be there even you flash the stock recovery.
To put back to stock (Developer Edition) before RUU release:
1. If you have stock backup of your phone, then just restore it.
2. Flash the recovery.img in the 1.29.401.12 OTA. This is the only recovery image file I tested that worked. And before you do that, backup all your data in your phone!!! I lost all my data after I flash the recovery, which made no sense.
BTW, I did 1 & 2 then called Let's Talk and requested RMA today.

I am desparately trying to get S-OFF to work.
I have tried revone and moonshine ... several times varying results. I have changed ROMS various times as well
- revone always gives me a "-1", "1" or "6" depending on what variation of desperate steps I take in attempt to make it work.
- moonshine always gives me some sort of snarky comment indicating it has failed (also at various steps)
I think the root issue for moonshine is ADB not recognizing the device when it is supposed to.
revone i have tried from adb as well as strictly on the device via terminal command
at a complete loss at this point

It's stuck in the bootloader scree, the bootloader is locked. I cannot restart into the regular operating system. When I go to recovery it just goes to a triangle with a red exclamation mark. when you are in bootloader than connect your phone with usb to your pc and flash an recovery (use hasoon2000 tool or htc all in one toolkit or adb

If your bootloader is locked, unlock it by using one of the tools named above.
after that load a custom (GuruReset) rom via sideload or usb otg!

My main problem is that there is no RUU for my phone. What is the work-around for that?
I have done guru reset, S-off, removed tamper etc. So now it's in an S-OFF state. If I change back to S-ON it bricks. Does that mean I have to flash RUU?

When you go back to S-On using the guru reset you may think you are entirely stock but you have a main version mismatch - your version is 2.24.707.3 yet the guru reset is 2.24.401.x
Best thing to do is to get s off (which you have) and downgrade your hboot to 1.44 (you need this for an earlier Ruu and for touch drivers to work)
After this super cid and install an Ruu for 4.1.2 which will make you completely stock. Change your cid back to the original one and restore your nandroid backup. You should now to s off , bootloader locked and tampered removed
When you restore your nandroid backup there will be missing apps - you can correct this by downloading the missing apk fix (I'll send you the link in a minute). Install this by rebooting to bootloader and booting into custom recovery (NOT FLASHING IT) - this is done by placing the recovery image into your adb/fastboot folder (get this image from hasoon's toolkit) and typing fastboot boot name_of_recovery.omg
From here flash the zip - your missing apks are back and you have a locked bootloader and still stock recovery. Change your CID to original
Now receive the OTA to get you to version 2.24.xxx.x - you may have an issue where the recovery seems to get stuck about 1/4 of the way. This may be becuase although you are stock recovery it may not be 100% for your Rom. Don't worry - hold volume down + power until it reboots (it goes back to recovery to complete). You have to possibly do this twice. After that you should be at version 2.24.xxx.x and hboot 1.54
Now do the fastboot oem writesecureflag 3 and s-on
EDIT
The links for the RUU and the hboot are here in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2519259
Hi all. I am in need of some information. I am returning my M7 to rogers for warranty purposes. Currently it is rooted and s-ff. I am also running a gpe rom. I found a nandroid backup on Htc1guru.com. I followd crushalot's instructions for restoring to stock with an RUU. Everything goes well until I try to enter the second command of ( fastboot flash zip ruu.zip ) but my command window will not allow me to. I have even tried sideloading through twrp but can not get the commands right. Can someone offer me some direction? Thanks.

Do you have a link to your procedure? I would have thought Nandroid restore and RUU reflash are mutually exclusive--accomplishing the same thing by different methods. (Note that a Nandroid restore won't give you the stock recovery partition, and also may not give you a folder called /data/preload, which is wiped during the rooting process (so OTA updates won't work, though you will be on the stock system.))
Also, how does your command window not let you run the fastboot command? Is it because fastboot isn't found? If so, you can navigate to fastboot or fastboot.exe's directory (works on windows only; use the "cd" command), or just add that directory to the PATH variable (windows/linux/mac).
Thanks for the reply fenstre. Here is a link to the proceedure. http://www.htc1guru.com/guides/return-stock-guide/ . I have downloades a Roger's nandroid backup from his site. I have renamed it ruu.zip and placed it in my abd/fastboot folder. When I start to follow the directions for restoring using an RUU everything starts off ok. I start with the command prompt and enter "fastboot oem rebootRUU" and I get the silver htc logo on my phone's screen. I then enter "fastboot flash zip ruu.zip". It says you have to enter it again because the first only prepares the flash. I cannot enter it again on my prompt window.
I was just curious. I just got a replacement M7 from Rogers. Would it be possible to make a nandroid backup from the New phone and flash it on the one going back? Just a thought. I just need the one going back to have the Rogers splash scree and sense so it looks stock. Thanks.

A Nandroid backup is just that, a Nandroid backup. The clue is in the name... It has to be restored from your custom recovery," well the custom recovery for which the backup was made ".
You cannot run it through fastbootRUU.

Thank you for the info. I'll have to try and find proper tutorial to either install an RUU or nandroid backup that I found on Htc1guru.com . I am having a hard time opening the RUU that I downloaded. It keeps freezing when I double click on the file.

Did you check the MD5 on the backup and are you running at least TWRP 2.6.3.3. Try the RUU.exe.. Make sure you the adb/fastboot drivers installed.
http://koush.com/post/universal-adb-driver.
An OTG cable has female USB port on one end and a mini USB( that fits in the USB power/auxiliary socket of your phone.. A USB stick is inserted in the female end.. Go to mount then mount usb. Sorry if you already know this info.

I have all of the drivers installed and am running TWRP 2.6.3.3. Every time that I right click on the RUU.exe, it hangs up and freezes my computer. Only once did the program open up and that was just after downloading it. I am familiar with an otg cables operation. Just never used one before.

Hi,i have an htc one m7 that I recently decided to unlock the bootloader and root. I left the phone with S-on, Everything was going smoothly until today I decided to install a custom rom. I used the latest twrp and flashed venom. My phone is now stuck in a bootloop. I have tried several diferent roms and even tried flashing using fastboot. I still have acess to my hboot screen and recovery, fastboot, etc. I just cannot get the phone to boot. It is stuck in a bootloop, it stays on the splash screen for maybe 15 seconds then restarts. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated. I am hoping to get this resolved as soon as possible.

He's phone already running the lollipop firmware. For the Sprint variant M7WLS, 6.23.651.10 is the latest version, there is nothing requiring update here.
My guess is that he used the M7_UL twrp or M7_UL Viper version (or both) instead of the M7WLS version. Might want to check that @zshep99 :good:

I believe I may have used the m7 ul version of at least one of them, and I will ensure that I ix that, as the above uul got me running stock again. But I was trying to find a method of getting s off and the only option I found was sunshine, but that costs 35 ollars. is there a simpler way to gain s off? or even just a manual method that will work?

No, you don't need S-OFF to flash this but if you want s-off for another reason, yes, you'll need to use Sunshine.
Ok , thanks for the help. I appreciate it.
