I am desparately trying to get S-OFF to work.
I have tried revone and moonshine ... several times varying results. I have changed ROMS various times as well
- revone always gives me a "-1", "1" or "6" depending on what variation of desperate steps I take in attempt to make it work.
- moonshine always gives me some sort of snarky comment indicating it has failed (also at various steps)
I think the root issue for moonshine is ADB not recognizing the device when it is supposed to.
revone i have tried from adb as well as strictly on the device via terminal command
at a complete loss at this point
You are @ unsupported update you need to be 1.26.502.12 and you are @ 1.26.502.15 you need to downgrade but foe that you will need to relock bootloader if you have unlocked via htcdev

Thank you! that did the trick.
FYI - Bugsy's site is down indefinitely so I got the RUU for 1.26.502.12 from this site http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/
what a wild ride this HTC One took me on. There should be more disclaimers on the S-OFF guides relating to this update rather than the HBOOT version - imo. That would have kept me from posting the question....

Hi, i've done s-off using revone and installed a custom recovery in order to flash some ROMs but now i want to go back to the stock one. My CID is HTC_001 and it is UK nobrand.
I'd like to flash the last 4.1.2 stock rom, then flash stock recovery, then make the telephone S-On again with the state "Locked"
After that i'll try OTA update to 4.2.2 in order to see If all works fine
How can i do it? Help me please... If someone can find the last 4.1.2 stock rom and the stock recovery and give me the download, i'll Marry him lol
Thank you for your help

i can help you but i need more info
It would be better to flash 1.28.401.7 RUU under s-off.
Get latest firmware via OTA
And then go to lock bootloader and s-on.

EDIT:
I downloaded the RUU of 1.28.401.7 for my CID (HTC_001) from the link here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207874 )
Now I just plug the telephone in my computer and run the .exe?

You don't need a locked bootloader or S-On to get the OTA. Even after installing the OTA you will still have S-Off, but if you locked it and S-On before OTA, you have to downgrade to S-Off again.
For some reason I can not flash RUU from HTC Dev site. I do have HTC 64G dev edition. I tried with original recovery, and also unrooted. I get the OTA update but it wont install. Someone suggested that I need to lock my bootloader to flash ruu, but the phone came with unlocked bootloader.

I launch the RUU.exe, but when it say "going to bootloader" the telephone shut down and show the HTC logo. The problem is that it is stuck, and after 3 minutes the RUU say "Check that the telephone is connected to the PC" ... What can i do?
Remove imei from previous post plz!
Do you have the HTC drivers installed correctly???
If not download HTC sync from
http://www.htc.com/www/software/htc-sync-manager/
This will install all the correct drivers!
After it installs make sure it is completely shut down on your computer (if it starts up when you plug in your phone, shut it completely down again!!) Could interfere with your update

check if the drivers are correctly installed, type `fastboot devices` in cmd in fastboot mode and you should see a serialnumber.

hey mate, edit your post and remove IMEI and serial number, we don't need to see those.
Anyway, most of the details you showed look just fine, except hboot 1.43 As far as I know the lowest hboot for the One is 1.44
You may want to try this RUU instead (slightly newer, but still for you MID & CID): http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_...1-27_10-31-1131-05_release_310878_signed-exe/
Remember that since you're S-On this (and any OTA after) is a one way trip, ie you can upgrade, but cannot downgrade.
And of course you're bootloader has to be locked/relocked to be able to run the RUU.

2. 2.24.401.1
3. 2.24.401.8

Hi guys, byesterday I did full backing to stock using this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082) and everything works perfect (Locked, S-On, removed tamperer...) except thing that I not receiving any OTA.

I have 2 questions: Can I upgrade hboot (1.43) to 1.44 and run correct RUU with Locked Bootloader and S-on or I have to unlock bootloader again, root phone get s-off...?
And if i need to do all of this again, can you provide me the easiest way (links)?
I need to get back my Htc ONE to RMA (camera issue)..
Thanks!!

Hello friends. First of all, I apologize if I am not very clear, but I have little knowledge of English, and to be faster I'll use a translator...
Since about a week ago, my HTC One Developer Edition is showing me errors with WiFi and Bluetooth. These are off steadily even when in use. At first I thought it was a failure of the last installed ROM (ARHD 40.1), but I've tried others such as CM11 without installing any mod and restore my latest nandroid backup, but I have had the same result.
Apart from changing the ROM all I remember doing is to update the firmware, so yesterday I upgraded to the new firmware version to see if solved, but still follows the failure. Do not think it's a hardware failure because the mobile is not second hand, has not suffered any drop and was always working perfectly, so I ask your help and attached the information that shows the phone using fastboot getvar all command if serving them for a diagnosis. Thanks in advance.

Either one will do, they're just slightly different version numbers 1.29.1540.16 and 1.29.1540.3, might as well go for the .16. You'll have to download from here: http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/ruu-file-downloads/
then you can follow my guide (in my signature), because you need to downgrade hboot to 1.44 separately first, before you can run the RUU. (just the first part about downgrading hboot, the rest of the guide is for people who want to return the phone for warranty)
Also keep S-Off, do NOT go S-On!!!

then you can follow my guide (in my signature), because you need to downgrade hboot to 1.44 separately first, before you can run the RUU. (just the first part about downgrading hboot, the rest of the guide is for people who want to return the phone for warranty)
Also keep S-Off, do NOT go S-On!!!

I downgrade to hboot 1.44 and reflash the official ruu (RUU M7 JB UL 50 BrightstarUS WWE 1.29.1540.16), but still blinking on and off wifi and bluetooth.

Yes, but I don't see changes. (Later, I change the "Keep WiFi on during idle" to Always), but just keeps running and then switching off when it want, and when it goes off, just says "activating", infinite loop until I restart.. Same for bluetooth.

@nkk71
Well, without ideas, I sent the phone to HTC America, for guarantee. I had to pay $ 70 shipping because I live in Dominican Republic (No HTC), but after 15 days I received my phone in perfect working (they did not even scratch), and by the way, apparently they changed my camera ... It's not purple!
Thanks for all your help friends. :highfive:

Several of us are having the same problem, RumRunner doesn't seem to be working for some international versions.Another member has the same type / HTC One International T-mobile and he couldnt get S-OFF, Im in the same position HTC One Internation but three carrier.
I solved my rumrunner issues by downloading and booting into ubuntu 32bit. Not 64 bit. No need to worry about drivers. Just download the linux version of rumrunner, open a terminal, navigate to the extracted rumrunner folder and follow the rumrunner instructions. Worked the first time for me. Windows gave me nothing but headaches...hope this helps

It worked like a charm!
First try.
At first I thought it whould be difficult but the website of RumRunners is the only instruction I needed.

P.S. I believe it was the 401 firmware

1- remove IMEI and s/n
2- check my guide in my signature, and use this ruu.exe: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_...1-27_10-31-1131-05_release_310878_signed-exe/
3- recommend you stay s-off, unless YOU really insist!!

depends on the country/repair center, most don't care about s-off, only UNLOCKED/RELOCKED/TAMPERED bootloader
you can go s-on if you like, just follow the guide on when to do it.

didnt understand that question, you mean why the firmware is newer on your phone? -> it's cause it was already updated, before being shipped, that's all.
Is the phone supposed 2 b in fastboot mode wen running the RUU ?

ever since I downgraded the bootloader to 1.44, fastboot keeps getting hung on waiting for device......
how do I fix this ? Your help is really appreciated
Also, my existing recovery TWRP 2.6.3.3 takes much longer 2 load on this older HBOOT than earlier. Is this normal ?

Use a Win7 machine
If you cant get your hands on one, then create an Ubuntu 12.04 Live USB (32bit) (use the "Try Ubuntu" option, no need to install): http://www.ubuntu.com/download/desktop/create-a-usb-stick-on-windows
install adb & fastboot using:
Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install android-tools-adb android-tools-fastboot
Since ruu.exe (windows) doesn't work on linux, you'll need to use this instead: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip...1-27_10-31-1131-05_release_310878_signed-zip/
using the RUU.ZIP method in my guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2541082 post #3
