Why did you do that? Just flash the stock GE rom. You've got a conflict between your installed firmware and the CID.

You can't even get into recovery? With s-on and that CID, no RUU will work unless there is a Google RUU.

Try this. You can boot to recovery via fast boot. I think the command is fastboot boot recovery name of recovery. This will boot recovery from the computer. After that you should be able to s-off with rev one. Once you unlock the bootloader again you should be able to boot

Probably failed because the bootloader was locked?
I think you need to unlock it one way or another. Try going through the whole process with htcdev again.
The problem is that you've made changes that need to be undone but can't be undone without being s-off and unlocked. This is why going back and forth with s-off/s-on is not a good idea.

Hi guys, I've looked around for this but have found no answers so far. So I'm looking to unroot my phone, but have had a massive problem when using SuperCID to change my CID to HTC___001 from H3G__001 (Three UK). Instead of changing the CID by using the command, it will say "[SD_ERR] The project doesn't support SD card" Is this because when I used s-off the data was wiped or something similar? Please help the phone is bricked and can access the bootloader and recovery (using TWRP) would it be worth trying to flash a new ROM and try to sort it out? Any help would be welcome and will be thanked for any legitimate suggestion.
People need to stop mixjng up soft bricked and bricked...what fastboot command are you entering?
Sorry, I'm not 100% sure what either one meant, but thanks. The command that is issued is - fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
Anyone else have some ideas? Need to get this fixed quickly! I'm going to try and put a new ROM on it to flash it, and then hopefully I will be able to recover it properly. I have a H3G RUU from the HTCDev portal, but don't know how to put the kernel into a RUU and boot it into the phone, so if someone knows how to do this, it would be greatly appreciated if they could tell me, thank you!
At what point did your phone stop booting (what was the step you took last time it booted)?
Are you using the SuperCID command in fastboot?

Are you sure you are in the right section of bootloader??
It has to say "Fastboot USB"
Try to install the proper drivers on a windows system and go into bootloader (Fastboot screen) and run the command...
If you are able to go into recovery and bootloader, then your device is not bricked.

if you have the system booted into the rom, first you will have to issue the command "adb reboot bootloader". That will take you to the bootloader were you will be able to run the fastboot commands like "fastboot getvar all"
That will give you some information about the device

Flash CMW recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173863
use this line
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-6.0.3.2-m7.img
Download your rom here:
http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1056-m7-cwm-nandroid-backup-cid-h3g-001-128771x/
Flash it whit ADB sideload command
that wil work
Also, I recommend you to upgrade the firmware first... Don't have the link now, but you can check on Android Revolution HD topic. On first post, Mike posted a link from where to get latest firmware, make sure to have the right CID, if not, you should follow the revone instructions to get your device S-OFF (it's extremely easy ), just check on the Original Android Development section
---------- Post added at 01:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:34 PM ----------
By the way, your device is S-ON so you're not gonna be able to change the CID until you get S-OFF

Once you have your device unlocked (bootloader unlocked by HTC Developer) you can install custom recovery (make sure to clear the cache from fastboot, can't remember the command now as I have a terrible headache and I'm doing my best trying to remember everything), then you can copy the rom into the SD or sideload the rom and then flash a custom rom...
In order to get SUPER-CID you will require to be S-OFF
Hello,
Last week I rooted my HTC One and installed the Android Revolution HD ROM. Although I loved it, I needed to get back to stock ROM. I followed a YouTube video to unroot my mobile and now it's stuck on HBoot screen. I've tried various RUU and Recover.zip's but no go. Please help!!

Hello Ben,
Thank you for writing. I'd like you to know that I'm not very techie... This RUU 'RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_BrightstarUS_WWE_1.29.1540.16' failed, and these recoveries: 2013-03-30.16.15.27, and a few more. I've been looking for my One's version main (1.29.707.17) and don't seem to have any luck. Thank you for your assistance.
Is there anyway I could downgrade or install a custom ROM? Anything to bring One back to life....

RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_BrightstarUS_WWE_1.29.1540.16 is a developer RUU .. Your device MID (PN0711000) and CID (HTC__038) suggest it's an asian device ..

Broke screen, got replacement from insurance. Want to put phone back to stock.
Device is currently (relocked and s-off) hboot 1.44
Has no root though, as I used RUU to get back to stock 1.27 on T-Mobile.
I have complete functional adb and fastboot and I'm knowledgeable with them.
Just can't figure out how to get SU pushed to the phone so I can revert bootloaders messages showing (relocked & get s-on) to show a fully stock phone. I know it might not matter with insurance and phone being replaced already and that jazz... Just want to do this for peace of mind, as I'm not trying to pay 600$ to them just in case they flag my phone.
Here is my getvar all
C:\adb>fastboot getvar all

or with S-OFF you can zip a custom recovery.img in a firmware.zip and flash it via RUU mode even with a locked bootloader.

I'm just laughing at myself over here.
So I have root, I have TRWP installed. I have tried the file from HTC1GURU and it will simply not do anything to my bootloader no tampered removal or locking is being done, no errors are showing though...
I tried using revone its a no go as well, all is fine but get the error-1 after entering ./revone -l any ideas guys? I'm so close but things just are not going my way haha. Thanks for the help .

which twrp version are you using? Crushalot specify to use twrp 2.6.3.3 with his tool. NVM he said at least twrp 2.6.3.3 so higher version should be fine.

now I can't even attain s-off lol... got it unlocked with the ugly tampered warning still up there.
Tried rumrunner, firewater all in one tool kit... should i run the ruu again then attempt to proceed?
Why'd I have to skip the stupid tampered part!!!????

well, you need a working OS to use rumrunner or firewater. It cannot be done in fastboot mode. So, ideally, adb sideload ARHD to ur phone. Flash it. Then run the S-OFF tool of ur choice

The reason I would want S-ON is to update to HTC Sense 6 Verizon does not allow updates to go through with S-OFF, as I was told by HTC, I have tested updating my device it wont work.

here's the only RUU I can find for your phone
http://flyhalf205.com/?dir=RUU/m7vzw
you flash them with fastboot
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip rom.zip
fastboot flash zip rom.zip << yes two times
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Just make sure you name the RUU rom.zip not rom.zip.zip and it's in the same folder as fastboot
Don't lock your bootloader and Don't go s=on
just flash the PN07IMG_M7_WL_JB_50_VZW_2.10.605.1_DECRYPT.zip
and take all the OTA updates you want .. then flash custom recovery and re- root your phone if you want.
