I wonder if anyone knows if there is some way to put apps en SD card. I've installed App Manager and it's say that is not possible I have spent several hours searching the internet and have not found any information about it.
Thanks for your help

Theres a guy who made a script for just this purpose and he did it on the Galaxy S3, you could ask in there, it literally swapped the SD for the internal SD. Making my S3 a 64GB version usable for apps and the extra 16GB for whatever i wanted, i personally didn't need it.
I've Used Directory Bind... Though not all apps can be transferred, (mostly huge games can be transferred)

[Q] Which lag fix uses the EXTERNAL SD card?
with so many choices for lag fixes
i kinda lost track which project was the one that was doing the symlink and copying data to the EXTERNAL SD card.
External SD cards can easily be replaced if dead
Internal SD card is a pain in the back when it dies
at the same time this is a perfect scenario for SD cards performance test for Class 2, Class 4, Class 6+ speed tests
Class 8 and Class 10 are not widely available yet for microSD format.
if some one remember the Dev topic please link it
thanks
no body is using this lag fix?

not anymore, seems like no one cares that the lag fixes writes to the internal SD instead of the external SD
I remember using it before. it's called mimocan or something. went through a lot of trouble to format my card into ext4.
There was something on modacco about it I recall... maybe Paul did it

yeah that! paul madacco!
I can't recall the name either but in the last 2 months we've moved on from external fixes as it was annoying to create the external partition, Also speed wise it wasn't a good fix.
There is the old mimocan lag fix:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=724251
and also this new attempt using JFS FS on the external card:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=812836
Modaco lag-fix was using the oneNAND fast memory. But it is internal and also is "limited" in size. ~130MB available only.
thanks i am using the internal modacco fix i guess. no problems with it.. but again limited in size although i have about 100 apps installed and still have 78 meg free. so probably could go over 200 as long as you dont have huge apps like certain games..
it seems like it is a lot less hard on the internal sd.. and maybe that is why it makes more sense to use this or one that does use the external sd for the i9000m specificially which is touchy with the internal sd card.
that's exactly my goal
since it's a known issue, it'll be better off playing with External SD, as they can be easily replaced if dead
you can also keep upgrading to newer faster models of SD cards

Looks like you can increase the speed of your SD card by modifying the cache size.
Here's a guide,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1010807
And, here's an app to do it.

Well, I have only one GT540. So, am not ready to try it yet. So, get your hands on it guys.

It sounds good but I don't think I will need it.
iv tried it and it seems to work i am getting faster access to avi files etc
Thanks
Hope someone finds it useful but I wonder if this will make the SD faster.
[EDIT]
Hope someone finds it useful but I wonder if this will make the SD wear out faster.

I think it won't make the sd card faster.
I installed the sd tool and sd increase apps. Changing to 2048k did speed up reads but the change is not persistent i.e. you have to re-apply with the app after every boot...
Might apply the update zip though because it is noticeably quicker.

Hello everyone,
Before i ask my question i would like to say hello to everyone at xda. Im new to the forum, and as you can see i actually did watch the noob video . Because i am a newbie i didnt really knew where to post this, and since it was an question about the GT-N7000 i thought this would be the most appropriate place to post.
I know that this question has been asked and answered numerous times. However, i didnt find a way to use my SDcard alongside my USB storage. So that they can both be used as internal storage at the same time. Im using an 16 gb sdcard (if that matters) and would like to "add' that to my internal storage.
I browsed numerous threads, both from xda and other forums, but no one seems to have an solution for my problem ( using them the same time as USB storage ).
Any help is much appreciated
And why you want it? The actual use for using them both at same as interal storage? What stuff you want to store on it? If you want to save game's huge data then you can use app from play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.slf.ListglApp

I want to store music, all of my pictures and some downloads and alot of games. I didnt get what you were traying to say by that, but if you didnt understand it : I want to add my sdcard to my internal storage. So that the internal storage is being used at the same time as my sdcard, when both being detected as internal storage.
Guys does anyone here solved this problem in xperia z1 to move applications in SD card because i dont want to fully loaded my internal memory which is only 16GB..
sent from future!
I would like to know about that also. Since my phone is not rooted, how do you get apps to install directly to the SD card. thanks
Me too.

I don't think we can install apps on the SD card yet ):
The OS is unix based, you can create symbolic links in the internal memory to point to the External SD card. These links tell the OS to look in the location you specified whenever something requests that folder, pretty much seamless.
There are other tools that have been developed which automate some of this for you, if you are not comfortable typing in a terminal window.
There is already a thread about this, conclusion is that mattiad is not going to be doing an internal2external mod, been using his mod for years and I asked him, told me that without the device in his hands (probably donated as he isn't going to be buying it) it isn't going to be happening, mount points and code are different from the s3 apparently.
I've personally been using folder mount, it's a paid app but allows you to mount the larger games and apps found in android/obb or anywhere from one location to another.
Upped my memory to 5GB from 2GB, I've got about 4 large games and around 100 apps installed so it does work.

Root will happen and there will always be a way around things, the problem Z1 users are facing is a lack of dev's to accomplish these things. Just compare the note 3 forum with this one, huge difference.
The camera bug has obviously played a part in this but it's causing irreparable damage to the Z1 community and has probably put off some dev's we could sorely do with.
Hopefully it'll change withe new releases but as time goes on i'm losing faith to be honest.

Wearing very thin my friend
Hi,
I have a problem Xperia Z1 with accessing certain applications on the memory card-some me reports that it is not writable (for example, Titanium Backup), in Total Commander I can't create a new folder, and so on, but on the other hand, need the camera stores the photos on the card without any problems. Is there any solution to memory card available for all applications?
Just for completeness, I add that it is a card of SanDisk 64 GB microSDXC UHS-I and the phone I have ROM 14.3.0.757. Thank you for your advice.
If this has already been dealt with here, I apologize for starting a new topic, but I failed to find it
Yes, the solution still on XDA from long time ago. Just a bit of search and sure you will read about it.
This is what you are looking for

You can also google
KitKat sdcard changes
to see what the issue is, but the thread above will clear up your issue

My thanks to you for your help, the application referred to in you that theme (SDFix: KitKat Writable MicroSD) that successfully solved the problem :good:

The user was not aware of the real problem so searching would not have been much help.
Notice I also told them where to find more information about the problem....

Of curse, I can't argue with that. You are more prepare logically to any event but if I have to remember any single thread on XDA I think I go crazy....
