Hello everyone,
Before i ask my question i would like to say hello to everyone at xda. Im new to the forum, and as you can see i actually did watch the noob video . Because i am a newbie i didnt really knew where to post this, and since it was an question about the GT-N7000 i thought this would be the most appropriate place to post.
I know that this question has been asked and answered numerous times. However, i didnt find a way to use my SDcard alongside my USB storage. So that they can both be used as internal storage at the same time. Im using an 16 gb sdcard (if that matters) and would like to "add' that to my internal storage.
I browsed numerous threads, both from xda and other forums, but no one seems to have an solution for my problem ( using them the same time as USB storage ).
Any help is much appreciated
And why you want it? The actual use for using them both at same as interal storage? What stuff you want to store on it? If you want to save game's huge data then you can use app from play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.slf.ListglApp

I want to store music, all of my pictures and some downloads and alot of games. I didnt get what you were traying to say by that, but if you didnt understand it : I want to add my sdcard to my internal storage. So that the internal storage is being used at the same time as my sdcard, when both being detected as internal storage.

Hello I just start using the new Motorola Razr i, since 2007 I'm using iPhone, as many of you I'm mobile developer, so iOS 6 for me in this very moment is not very interesting, so I decided to change to Android and to motorola Razr i because I think is a good terminal with good materials.
Well what is my surprise when after 2 weeks I discover that Motorola Change the Path name of the internal storage to "sdcard" and the SD card to "external1" it would't be a problem but the 99% of the apps are programmed to download the data in "mnt/sdcard" so my internal memory is full, and the sdcard almost empty.
well I don't want to change it, I'm very happy with the moto, but this is terrible, 2 weeks no memory WTF??? I try everything links to the sdcard(internal memory) using bussyBox, doing it with terminal, try to rename directories everything, and well maybe we can make it works, but again WTF??? I change to android but this kind of things are a bit disappointed as a developer and as a user.
I ask you guys what do you think about this? is normal? some people say that is a "feature" well would be if the phone would be able to store the files in external1(real sd card) but Moto how you can think that the developers are gonna adapt the apps to be use with the partition logic that you implemented ?
anyway if this continue like this, I would give up with motorola, only because I need space in my phone only because of that.
thanks for your reply solutions or comments.
xopen.
SO?
So... mattlgroff are you happy with this? a mean you love this device, how you are gonna deal with this?

guys i know you all heard for this app (Ram manager pro)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartprojects.RAMOptimization&hl=en
but, i bet lot of you didnt notice a biiiiiig update...now you can swap your RAM on your internal, the fastest partition in our device (not even close to sd card class100)
but, im not sure about it, and i ask for help from developers or android wizz that know this method...
i noticed that this thing works, but, after you swap, you dont have space left...so, iv got partitioned my sd card, only to 256mb, just to check...and it really works again!
Again, but, you need to create swap file right after flashing fresh rom, so it (swap file) occupy internal memory at once! Cause, if you instal some apps, it will use sd ext, and probably go to sd card, wich doesnt make any difference in performance...
Once again, im asking for opinion of expert, to confirm this...
Im using latest jb4.2.2, and best way to check this is to play some game and to listen a music at same time : DIDNT GET FC OR ANY LAG!
tnx in advance
NOTE: don't create swap bigger than 128mb, thats our max internal
Does it really works? Because i used to swap too but it didnt make any difference in performance. The only thing i notice is my phone got hotter alot.....

Tried this last year .....the script was made by custdroid.....
Unfortunately the constant read and write on ROM is not so good for the hardware.. ...so I deprecated the project for mini also with such low internal memory I could create only 32mb swap on internal and the phone soon started yo take its toll ...you may try this but I am sharing my experience cause it may feel smooth for sometime but it reduces the life of your mini considerably cause ROM is supposed to non-volatile unlike RAM which is volatile...

I wonder if anyone knows if there is some way to put apps en SD card. I've installed App Manager and it's say that is not possible I have spent several hours searching the internet and have not found any information about it.
Thanks for your help

Theres a guy who made a script for just this purpose and he did it on the Galaxy S3, you could ask in there, it literally swapped the SD for the internal SD. Making my S3 a 64GB version usable for apps and the extra 16GB for whatever i wanted, i personally didn't need it.
I've Used Directory Bind... Though not all apps can be transferred, (mostly huge games can be transferred)

Hey guys, I am currently on the rezound and most likely going to the One. I was wondering how not having any external memory has been for you guys? Does flashing new roms wipe everything you have or is there two different partitions? I have some backups of apps that I don't want to lose. Thanks in advance.

How do we handle it? Uhhh..... just like you guys do. It's not nearly as big of a deal as you people are making it out to be. I actually feel sorry for you guys with garbage external micro-sd cards. Writing a movie to those things takes forever. I drag and drop files and they take seconds. Enjoy being left in the past. Just like those kids crying about not having a removable battery. Boo hoo now you can't play Candy Crush Saga for 13 hours straight.

I agree. I'm completely happy with only having one storage point.
In the worse case scenario I can always OTG a flash drive.
It acts like external storage, its not tied to the system/data partitions

He didn't ask "How do you deal with ONLY 32GB/64GB?!?"
Initially that was a concern of mine coming from a Galaxy S3 but it actually hasn't been a problem at all I've plenty of photos, videos and music not to mention apps, etc on my phone and still a good bit of storage left.

I don't need an excessive amount of media saved on my phone. I have hundreds of songs, tons of games, all the apps I need, 2 twrp backups, titanium backup of my apps with 5 gigs to spare.
I don't think I'll be needing 64gb anytime soon....

I have a 50 GB music collection and not having it all with me at all times used to bother me but I've found it doesn't any more. I'd be bothered less if I had unlimited data.

Thanks for the straight forward answer. And for not being rude about it. I only have a 16 gig SD card anyways, I don't like having a whole lot of things to filter threw on my phone anyways. I haven't read anything online about how the storage works on phones with no external memory so I was wanting to know.
As far as flashing roms and all, is there a small allocated amount for the rom to write to? Just trying to understand it more that's all.

Play music. Google drive. Google+ for photos. Fixes any and every need for onboard storage. I came from an 8gb nexus 4. With 32gb I'm laughing. Way more storage than I can dream of.
I didn't want to start a new thread for one simple question so I figured I would ask it here. My wife just asked me a question I have not thought about so I would like to know if anyone can answer/test it for me. She asked if she got an htc one and her phone would not boot up after awhile of having it, if she can still get the pictures/videos off the phone to transfer them to the computer. Or would she lose the pictures/videos? We are expecting our second child in December, so she doesn't want to risk losing new pictures of the baby. Can anyone test this for me?

I am not sure if the phone completely died (what I assume you mean by not boot up) if it would still be recognized by a computer to get to the photos. However, every picture I take with my phone is instantly transferred to my Dropbox account, so I never worry about losing anything. With proper backing up to a computer and managing Dropbox (for example, take pics, they are automatically synced to Dropbox, at some point transfer the same pics to your computer, then delete them from Dropbox so your Dropbox doesn't fill up), the chances of losing anything are slim.
Hope this helped....
Yeah, she is on her 7th phone now, so she very cautious and worried that her next phone will have an unreal amount of issues. She isn't one to have a whole lot of steps to achieve something.

Hi. I just want to ask how much free memory do you have on your internal SD. On L90 there is 8GB and 4 Gb from these are for the user. I have free only 1,11 GB and used 2,67 GB, but I do not know where are all the files (2,52GB)..please take a look at the screenshot.
Download Clean Master from Google play and run cleaning, and search for big files
Tried. Nothing interesting found..

Weird. In Solid Explorer you will see top 20 biggest files, you might want to try it out.
They are beeing used as other partitions
