I just did the stupidest thing ever: I flashed a custom rom without even being rooted.
I had an unlocked bootloader and cwm. Now, my phone is in boot loop and goes from the red logo animation to the intel one over and over again.
I've tried entering fastboot mode with power + volume down, with power and both volume buttons (releasing power when it vibrates).
I also couldn't connect it to the computer with the camera button to use the unbrick method.
Any ideas?! Please, help!!!
managed to get into fastboot. turns out i was doing it wrong. oops
now i'll try to flash a stock rom. i give up trying to root or flash custom roms in the razr i.
worst phone for modding...
Just wipe data / Cache & Dalvik Cache before flashing an Rom. If you use Omars Rom then Format System, too (Mounts and Storage).

-------------------------------------------------
WHAT TO DO IF GOT A BOOTLOOP
1.- Remove battery *edit** I didnt remove battery, I plugged out the usb instead**
2.- Power on your phone again, and once the 4 leds start flashing, repeatedly press a physical key (g-button or volume rocker) until your phone reboots and ir access to CWM
3.- Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache, then reflash the ROM again
4.- Reboot and wait

And if it doesn't work, you can connect your phone to your computer, start adb shell and type in 'reboot recovery'. Your phone will enter cwm and you can restore a backup, reflash a rom..
I use this method if I get a bootloop. (I'm developing a rom.) I think it's very helpful, because you don't must use smartflashtool.
cakebomb.
in some situation adb cannot connect the phone and you have to use the smartflash tool
Anim Mod bootloop
I have the same problem here! I got bootloop after using anim mod. I'm able to go to stock recovery. I had backup my file then did factory reset but problem still not solved. I had backup my framework-res.apk file but it's not on a flashable zip format.
i've tried using apk multi tool on trying to do and adb push but it's not working
what can I do next?
connect your phone to pc in s/w upgrade mode->pull out your battery, hold + and plug in the usb in phone..and after that, use smart flash tool to flash firmware(v20) with CWM included..and after firmware flash your phone will enter in CWM recovery, now from CWM you need to flash supersu from sd card..after flashing firmware and superuser, DO a data, cache, davlik cache wipe !..and just after this you can exit from CWM(reboot)
Here's a link to all tools that you need to repair your phone. You need to use smartflash tool, a V20 firmware with cwm( you can download it from here), and put the Superuser.zip to your sd card..and install USB driver if you haven't installed it yet
I use this method every time when my phone is stuck on bootloop or if I've flashed a ROM that doesn't have root..or other situations.. This method brings you to a rooted gingerbread with CWM(this is all what you need, because from here you can do what you want..for example flashing which ROM you like )
!!! You can use this method anytime...doesn't matter which ROM you have or if your phone is rooted or not. After using this method your phone will be fully rooted, will have CWM recovery and android 2.3 gingerbread !!!
Hi guys,
a friend of mine has a huge problem with his rooted P970 (android 2.3): after installing an update, the system only boots into ClockworkMod, rebooting from there only goes into the CWM Recovery again. Holding VOL-UP when the phone is connected to the computer and even holding HOME+VOL-DOWN will boot the CWM. VOL-UP within CWM doesn't work as well. Factory Reset and installing a ROM from CWM doesn't make a difference either.
So we tried to install a firmeware via SmartFlash (V20N). But the problem is that the COM-port only appears for few seconds until the CMW is completely booted, than it vanishes again. So we really have now idea what to do next.
Thanks for your help!
You need to pull out the battery, insert it again, DONT POWER ON THE PHONE! Now hold VOL+ Button, then plug in the USB cable and you should see the software update screen, then use smartflash. OR in CWM, wipe data, cache, in advanced wipe dalvik, try to install a custom ROM like boype's CM7 kang, have fun

I think this mod must be installed with cwm so.
if you have luck boot into recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2006168 wipe cache and dalvik cache (in advanced) and reboot maybe it will start then
if you did a backup on cwm boot into it :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2006168
then restore.
if you have a costum rom you could try to reflash it.
if this too doestn held you have to flash youd kdz new,
Hi.
I have Cyanogenmod 10 installed in my Galaxy S for 2-3 Weeks. My phone had no problem at all in this period. I haven't flashed anything since and didn't change or install any theme. Made just some recent market updates (Whatsapp etc.) My phone got stuck today in bootloop while it was in my pocket. It boots until Cyanogenmod logo (Not boot animation) and then resets. I can not boot into recovery with 3 button combination and I can't turn off my phone. I can only boot into download mode if I have usb cable plugged. I know it's possible to flash a new rom via odin but I don't want to lose my data. What could I do to come out of boot loop?
Thanks in advance
R: Didn't Flash Anything, However got a Bootloop
I had the same issue, luckily i had old backup files in the phone, as far as I know the only way to save the phone is to flash a rom via Odin

Goto recovery using the 3 button combi (Press Volume Up + Home + Power till you see the boot screen), select data wipe/factory restore & wipe cache, reboot. This should solve your problem...

I tried that and my phone worked for about 1 minute then the bootloop starts again
Currently the phone can't boot normally or into recovery mode, it only boots in download mode.
I think I've tried to flash like 10 firmwares from sammobile.
The problem started because I was on the CM10.1 rom and I tried to flash a stock firmware so I can take the SIM-lock.
I think I forgot to clear cache and Dalvik cache from CWM before I flashed the firmware.
So, after I flashed the firmware, the phone bootloops at the Samsung boot animation, and if I try to turn on the phone with the VolumeUp+Down + Home + Power combination, it doesn't do anything. The battery charges, there's no hardware issue, and the phone is detected by Odin ( if it wasn't, then how could I flash the firmwares? ).
EDIT1: If I hold them a little longer I get that RamDump thing.
EDIT2: Looks like I don't get the thing mentioned in EDIT1 again.
Thanks in advance.

I hope I don't need to replace it, it's my first phone.

Vol up+down+home+power= no recovery. Do some research before asking! Just go to recovery wipe data.

Re: S6500D doesn't boot nor get in recovery mode
I think I was misunderstood.
Wasn't the stock recovery combination VolUp + VolDwn+Home+Power?
I'm talking here about GM2, not the original one, where I think it was Home+Power.
And, as I said in the OP, I can't get in stock R.M. or a custom one.
Yes, I missed that you have stock recovery. Because you can have CWM+Stock ROM.
Nowdays I'm DERP. Maybe because I have almost no free time.
I think I realized why the phone acts like this: I forgot to wipe data before flashing the new firmware.
So the question would become like this: Can be data wiped from the computer ( e.g. using Odin or something like that ) and if it can be done, how to do it?
EDIT: I've Googled it, looks like I can't. But I guess there are some firmwares that delete everything, am I right?
I don't wanna bump, but...
Help?

After I flashed CM10.1 I wiped data, but it looks like I forgot to wipe before I flashed the stock firmware.
