This has been happening since day 1 with my HTC One and I haven't figured it out yet. I am assuming it is a Ultra-pixel issue and I was hoping the problem would fix itself but it has not. For example, I first noticed in my banks app when I take a picture of a check to electronically deposit it. It gives you an outline of 4 corners to line up the check. I snap a picture and the picture is all stretched out and very weird. Next app is Google Drive app. Take a picture of a document for it to turn into a pdf and no matter what the image is always distorted and cropped and unusable. I tested out another app like instagram and facebook that use the camera and they work fine. Any ideas? Can someone else very this for me?

I noticed that too. The first time I used the app all the pictures were there including the profile pics but now just the text shows. I'm using the Facebook 1.5.2 from the Market.
if you read the app reviews, it seems other people on different devices are having issues too, the app needs to be updated.

This is one reason why I don't update without reading reviews. The last build before this one works great. I won't update until I see it's working good.
I usually don't usually have a problem saving pics from wg (wallpaper) onto my sd card, until recently. Whenever I try to open or view the pic in a new window, it doesn't load. I'm doing this over a wifi connection and I don't have any problems viewing other content. Any ideas on what I can do to resolve this issue?

Well, yes the picture did load in firefox (took awhile though).
However, it seems I can't save the pic now. Odd...

Chanscan: interesting app with potential, but it didn't work as advertised for me.
I also spoke too soon about firefox. The pic I wanted wouldn't load up for me a second time. I tried skyfire next. After a couple of refreshes and a couple of false downloads, I finally got the bloody wallpaper.

Hi, my mom just got an HTC first, which is running stock android 4.1.2. Everything is working great, except that instant upload is not syncing back to her stock photo gallery. She has Google+ installed and instant upload turned on, and that is all working perfectly. She has a nexus 7 running Android 4.2.2 and the photos she takes on her phone are syncing to her tablet perfectly, but they are not syncing back to her phone. Everything in her Google account is set to sync. I have Force stopped/Cleared Data and cache in the gallery app, but nothing I do gets is to work. I even had her add my dads google account to her phone (set only to sync Google photos), hoping that would force something to work, but his photos are not syncing to her phone either. Please help. I just finally got her to get an android phone because of all the awesome features it has, (Instant upload/Gallery sync being one of them), and it stinks that one of the best features is not working.I know she can access the photos through Google+, but its so much more convenient to have them in your gallery. Thank you for your help...
Does anyone else have this issue? Got my wife the same phone, and the issue is the same. Even if you don't have a solution, please reply with a, "yes I have the issue", or "no, it works for me.” I'd appreciate it.

Same thing here. I just bought the HTC First primarily for the stock android, and now the gallery app doesn't work with Google Photos...
It's weird that it is definitely connected to Picasa, as it can upload pictures to albums.
New stock app fixes this issue
The updated 4.3 Gallery/Camera stock app which was just leaked fixes this issue. It will now properly sync with Google Photos and display all your albums. The camera app is also spiffier as a nice bonus! :good:

So I've had no problems up until a few days ago when if I try and take a photo on the camera it appears to work but the gallery icon in the corner of the camera still shows the last taken photo and opening the gallery also only shows the old photos. I also had an issue where I was receiving text messages and I could read them in the notification bar but when I opened the text to reply the new one wasn't there, I deleted a bunch of other messages but this didn't work but when i deleted the thread for the specific contact when a new one arrived it worked fine.
I've tried turning the phone off and one and I have a reasonable amount of space on the SD, so I'm baffled why I can't take any new photos!
Any help would be great, cheers!

I had a near identical issue where I would take a photo, the gallery icon would not update, and the photo was never saved. Also if I opened gallery no camera photos were there.
I backed up my DCIM folder, deleted all the images in 100MEDIA, updated my rom (ARHD), and it started working again.
I would try deleting all images in 100MEDIA then rebooting first.
Did you change the date on your phone?

No never touched it. I think the root of my problem was after upgrading from a 4.2 to 4.3 rom I manually moved my pictures to the new directory structure. The sense camera app does not appear to like that it did not write those files itself.
hi all
i've formatted my completely stock HTC ONE after upgrading to 4.3 and i found 2 issues:
1. when i transferred my pictures and videos from laptop to the phone all photos and videos were showing the same date of transfer and when i view them in gallery the videos appear all one after another , not like how i took them...few photos, one video and one zoe...etc. Its like showing all photos and when scrolling down all videos...
is there a way to fix this? i have a lot of photos from my travel and i would like to keep them in the correct order.
2. my apps where automatically re installed cz i backed everything up on my google account ( an option in the phone ) so i found some of the apps have those old three dots in the lower side of the screen for the settings, the ones cancelled by the 4.2.2 upgrade. anybody knows how i got those back??? shall uninstall and re install again?
any help is appreciated

From settings,display,gestures and buttons and choose Swype and hold for home button.
