if you done rooting and not using custom ROM
- install a root explorer (i you don't have one)
- goto /system/usr/keylayout/
- click the R/W button above
- open the TWL4030_Keypad.kl
- find a string "key 95 gesture", change it to "key 95 CAMERA WAKE_DROPPED" or something else you (do) know

To unlock your device you should write: "key 95 POWER WAKE"

Deep Sleep Mode
I am using the G button for the WAKE. But once my phone enters deep sleep mode.. it won't work anymore so I have to use the power button again.. any ideas?

In CM7, that is normal. You can't wake with G button. Only stock or CM10.

There never was volume rocker wake. There is volume rocker to skip track in music. Yes the power menu and the volume skip work perfectly. Although to get the volume skip to work with google play music you need to delete the AOSP music.apk from /system/app...

Yes it was that way in GB too, but i'm sure it doesn't work now.. i have tried every combination and order but without any result.. nothing happens, if i hold it for 1 or 2 or 3 secs.. it goes just to 'recent used apps' by holding it too long..
Does on anyway the manner of rooting matter? I've just selected the root.zip update from xda in the recovery mode.. (not the most usual way i think but it works fine, i've veriefied root acces)
Ps sorry for inproper english

First press home, than power and hold them for 2-3 seconds. If you press power first you will get event apps.

No! that was in GB. In JB, you have to press both simultaneously and hold.

But if you press power few moments before it brings recent apps, try. Or menu. Need to be pressed the same time, mistake sorry.

Yes indeed they must be presses at the same time.. i practised lots and lots and suddenly clickk he did it, but it requires superprecise timing on my phone, so half of the times i fail... in GB you could just press the home button and then the powerbutton whenever you want, thats really much easier.. i don't understand why they wanted to make it such a though challenge in JB.. anyway thanks for the help!

You can use ROM MANAGER...check out the link below:

Free App Called Quick Boot On Play Store needs root though

Or you can use twrp recovery. It's touch based so you don't need to press volume buttons at all for anything.
