I'm looking at a new phone and I have a couple questions, is the camera really that bad and is the HTC HD7S phone quality bad compared to the HTC HD7 or has the MANGO update fixed most issues.
Hi all,
I was wondering what the possibilities are of HTC making a ONE with the 800 chip set within the next few months or so? I really want to get the dev version right now but I'm hesitant because HTC has a reputation for adding to an original phone. ex. HTC One X and the One X plus.
I would wait (in agony) for it if it where the case. What do you guys think...any solid evidence out there that this might happen? :good:
I dont think it will happen, they only did the One X+ because of 4g (LTE) and problems they had with the One X. . . i believe anyway , they aint really done it with any other phone. . just made a new one to make it better. . . hence the Desire, Desire HD, one s, one x, one x+ and now the One. . . .

They might, they might not. But even if they do, why would you wait for it? That way you can keep waiting forever, because 6 months after that they'll release the HTC Two (or whatever the name will be) and 6 months after that the Two+ etc.
I doubt it. Wait a year, it will probably end up in the 2014 flagship.
As the One plus One is now launched and it will be avaiable in Q2.
How many of you will be switching to One Plus One?

Okay thanks for your response but One plus One is better in specifications. Than m7. It has stereo speakers too.

After sending back 3 HTC M8's due to really bad build quality I like the look on the One Plus One.
Don't quite understand this band 20 stuff, will this work with my Vodafone UK sim?

I think it will work worlwide as the phone has all the frequency bands which major companies use. As the One plus company is new it will be focusing on quality of this phone. Never settle

Here are the sizes-
One plus one- 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm
Xperia z1- 144 x 74 x 8.5 mm
Htc one m7- 137.4 x 68.2 x 9.3
It is clear that one plus one has a 5.5 inch display in the size of xperia z1's dimesions.
Size is a factor too as our m7 is the smaller one but we are getting a 5.5inch display in the size of z1.

One +1 looks really nice, except it's too large for my liking.

Bro, Sense 6 is anyday better than that weirdo UI and IMO, Stock Android as well. Another thing, support for HTC is pretty good. Particularly since you live in India, you know how it is. I don't even know if One Plus even has service centres abroad. Plus, I wouldn't quite trust the reliability of a brand new company.......
The phone has excellent value, in which HTC isn't quite competing. But I would anyday go fr the M8

I recently moved from S3 to HTC one M7 and my other choice was z1 compact and S4 but i rejected both of them.
I think that Battery is amazing, specially the standby time, on 4.4.2. Camera is OK. If you take a lot of pictures then HTC one isn't for you as it's only a 4 MP lense though the video quality is somewhat better than most phones out there. I personally don't like sense 6 but it's quite smooth. Screen quality is simply amazing (ofcourse you'll find s4 more appealing due to its amoled display).
I would say that you should get One...I got fed up by touchwiz and samsung so i bought htc.
ALSO, if you like flashing ROMS, then don't buy an HTC as the system is ridiculously secured compared to samsung. Even Sony Xperia series is easier to play with, once bootloader is unlocked.
Keep discussing about the pros and cons of the M7 only and avoid comparing it to other phones or this thread will probably get closed by a mod (no phones comparison thread are allowed)
and btw there is already a "what do you like/unlike about your htc one" thread in the general section with tons of pros/cons.

Hi everyone,
I have bought an HTC Desire 626 Dual-sim lately but it does not have all of HTC software installed and looks like stock android with changed icons to look like HTC.
It has HTC Blink feed and HTC dot case installed but it does not have sense installed. For example, it does not have the themes app where you can change the theme in HTC phones.
In settings -> about -> there is no indication of sense version unlike other HTC phones.
The dialer, messaging, camera, and etc. apps look like stock android.
My question is how can I know if the device is fake? And how can I prove it to the seller that it is fake?
Has HTC released a phone without sense before?
Was it new or used? If used, it was probably just rooted and customized. For example, I also no longer use the Sense launcher on my 626 - I use a different launcher (currently testing out Google Now Launcher). If rooted, you can remove any app you'd like - even system apps...

It was new and it's not rooted. And it can't be a modified ROM. As I said it has all the stock android apps but with HTC icons. For example, the dialer app has the icon of HTC sense dialer but when you launch it, it is the stock android app. The settings page also doesn't look like the settings in HTC phones. And the home launcher has got blink feed in it and it has the famous clock widget on it too. However, there is no htc weather or htc clock.
It even has the 64-bit Mediatek MT6752 Chipset instead of the Qualcomm equivalent. Does HTC release phones without sense? Is there any dual SIM version of HTC desire 626. I checked the IMEI numbers on a website and it said that the manufacture is HTC.
This is probably an Asian model. I bought it in Iran.
HTC...stop the non-sense
I do feel what you feel. I have a Desire 620G model, which has the same striped to the bone non--sense experience.
At first I thought that is some fake phone, but HTC made this. Why, you should ask them.
About the chipset confusion, they make 2 variants, Mediatek and Qualcomm.
Hope this brings some light to your questions.
Duck you HTC for making this phone...and forgeting about it.
Yes, I'm really disappointed at HTC for making a senseless phone.

I bought an HTC Desire 626 single sim for my sister.
Mine have 2 gb ram, 64bit processor. Original rom is Lollipop, with HTC Sense.
Weird is t on IMEIcheck, shows very little information.
Mediatek is the real one to be blamed.I too bought HTC desire 620G (originally planned to buy 620 but greed of 1.7ghz took over)
and now for 11 months got stuck in KitKat with gravitybox!. Now i have vowed never to buy an mediatek, even if it looks promising for development!

Hi,
Please find below the link for HTC ROM with MTK processor .
https://easy-firmware.com/index.php?a=browse&b=category&id=2666
I tried the ROM desire 626w for my HTC desire 626w dual sim, it worked fine but have few supported language and without gapps. Then I tried the ROM 626q for my HTC desire 626w but be careful you have to restore your imei after formating and flashing ... So copy your imei before any flash, and you have to fix a small problem with wifi : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2730486
