Just use the all in one tool kit by spyrosk......you can nvflash and then after you can use the back up to restore it fully...
Check his work in the development thread
Just that don't forget to install apx and lg drivers on the pc....

I took backup using PC-suite, but forgot that for using PC-Suite, I need to have android OS, now I have nothing there in the system.

You can nvflash to a custom ROM and then later revert back to a stock ROM......read slowly and understand....
With a custom ROM you can get access to the pc suite in some....try using the thread to find...think most remove it as we have other good recovery backup apps....

Something different is there
I downloaded NVFlash Toolkit and tried to NVFLASH. when I started, instead of going to recovery mode, it is now, showing S/W upgrade.. please wait while upgrading... but not sure whether it is doing something or not..

How to Flash Stock Rom

WARNING: Internal SD content will be erased
To begin with go here and download the ROM of your country/region
Secondly download smartflash and drivers from here and install them
Now run SmartFlashTool_P990.exe
Turn the phone off, remove the battery and connect the phone to pc via usb while holding down the vol.down button.
Now you should be able to see the software upgrade screen, and COM port of smartflash will change automatically.
Now in smart flash select "ROM Copy D/L"
Make sure that "Normal Mode" is checked and "Erase Cal" is NOT checked
In AP Bin click browser and select the (BIN) file
In CP Bin click browser and select the (FLS) file
Click start, sit back and wait
I'll try to remember next time that I return to stock rom record it and upload it
Here is the video I said i would record
Yes i do it many time and works very good.
The flash take about 7 minutes
I. Thought you had to nvflash to put stock rom back on device? Or is that just if the phone is bricked?

Hello,
Sorry for my english.
Yesterday, i want to flash the new 606 baseband on my LG O2X.
I use smartflash but i was wrong in using this program.
I have cheked the box "Erase CP" and now my O2X does'nt find the network. My phone send "carte incorrect" or "No network".
My SIM work in another phone and another SIM work in my phone.
I try to flash all the other baseband like 208, 318 or 405 but each time the problem is the same, i have no network.
I don't know what to do.
Thank you.

Strange behaviour, lost root

Something strange has happened. Today I flashed the topogigi GB rom. Before flashing, I updated CWM to the latest version (5.0.2.0?) and ran Backtoext3 even though I was already on ext3. The topogigi rom was corrupt (my fault) and wouldn't load. Also all my backups became unavailable in CWM. I ended up flashing an old Nightly which was my only choice. From there I rolled back CWM to the previous release (5.0.1.6?) and flashed an uncorrupted copy of the topogigi rom. Everything worked perfect.
A few hours later, I decided to try to restore my stock 10d backup. That was quite buggy. Among other things, my sim card was locked for a long while and then coming back. I restored my topogigi rom again, and it seems ok, except I have lost root.
What to do now? I wonder if the phone is unstable. Also I need root!
Search for the Superuser thread by ChainsDD, that'll sort out your root.

After you are done with full installation root your phone and install the CWM recovery !!!

Yes, as the bootloader isn't locked, any ROM can be rooted. If there is no exploit then NVFlash a recovery and root via that.

Sorry, but this is insane. If you can boot into CWM, then just flash this: http://downloads.androidsu.com/superuser/su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip
Flashing a ROM (which already has root) then using SuperOneClick (redundant at this point)..?
Ya I am surprised how can one enter CWM when he is not a SuperUser !!!
But maybe that's why he titled as " Strange behaviour " !!!

One-Click Fastboot Restore to recover from bootloop or softbrick

Thanks to dhacker29 for the orginal idea and script!

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY THING THAT HAPPENS TO YOU OR YOUR PHONE!
I will try to help as much as possible, but that does not allow you to hold me responsible for anything whatsoever.
Step 1. Download this zip file and extract it, putting all the files in a folder.
Step 2. Download the file "One-Click Fastboot Restore.zip" and extract it, putting all the files in the same folder as the one above.
Step 3. Run the .bat file and follow the instructions.
DO NOT FIX PDS PARTITION UNLESS NECESSARY! IT WILL WIPE YOUR MAC ADDRESS FOR WIFI AND BLUETOOTH!
(Found some typos, not serious. Will fix soon)
No comments yet? I take that as a good sign, I haven't screwed up the script!
What does this do? Restore a backup from fastboot
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
I'm also curious what exactly it does. At 140k it isn't replacing very much. Does it just fix files related to booting?
Didnt run it because I'm on linux and my phone is fine, but looking at the batch file, it automates flashing the stock gingerbread rom and restores PDS via fastboot.
when I run it, it gives me AdbWinApi.dll error. any suggestions?
I ran this for ****s and giggles and it returns everything back to stock AT&T 2.3 while giving you options along the way of what exactly you wanna restore to stock? webtop, system, pds, wipe data etc. works perfectly! makes life easier really! Phone booted right up after running no problems! Thanks!

It's also an alternative to RSD

Well, been trying but haven't been able to do anything with it. I mean I never used it before and seems like it needs to boot into fastboot mode which I haven't been able to do.
Is in any way possible to make the phone boot into that via usb cable with this software? I installed all requiered software including drivers but it never detected the phone in that (bricked) state, not even once. The phone turns a green light when u connect the usb without battery in, thats it.
I haven't found any solution yet, only seen ppl saying to buy a new one. Is this brick really that bad that there's absolutely no solution? And it all seems to be caused by lack of SBK as ive read on the net...
Well if there's any good news I would like to hear them

But my fault, I forgot what I wrote in my own thread! imitenotbecrazy, go to the thread that Pirateghost specified, read up on everything. Also, I have written down some things just in case you have that backup issue. Try this...
- IF YOU ARE HAVING ISSUES WITH BACKING UP, pull the battery, boot back into recovery (power + vol down then select recovery) and try again. OR you may have to boot up and delete the old partial backups with a file explorer and try again. OR make sure your USB is no longer connected and try again.

Help for mini-bricks
Like others, I wish I'd read this post before I hard-bricked my phone :crying:
In my case, I just selected the "Reboot into Recovery" option, where I planned to do a nandroid backup. The screen went black and I was hard-bricked.
Anyway, I thought this might be a good thread to repost the information that restored my galaxy mini to good health.
Remove the battery, SD card and sim card.
Hold down the "Download" key combination - Volume-down + Home + Power.
While continuing to hold all three down, insert the battery (almost impossible without a friend).
Continue to hold all three down, and in about a minute, you should get you into "Download" mode, from where you can use ODIN to re-flash your phone with a stock rom.
If this doesn't work at first, keep trying; I tried it several times without success, took it to a local techo who took it to a big city techo, and it was only when they both gave up that I tried this technique again in desperation - and fortunately this time it worked.
Also, the drama was not quite over yet for my phone. When I tried to flash a stock Gingerbread rom via Odin, it failed.
That was solved by first flashing ARM11boot_GT-S5570.tar (attached) in the "Boot" section (everything else blank except for TASS_V1 ops file, which is included in the standard rom). For more information, see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588892
After that, I successfully flashed stock Gingerbread. And finally installed CWM Recovery properly following this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342190&highlight=cwm+recovery
BE WARNED: On the thread about ARM11boot_GT-S5570.tar, there is a warning from kitrax59:
be careful on flashing the bootloader buddy.. it can hard brick your phone.. DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK..

There is an excellent guide to installing CWM Recovery by Bunnybugs_007 here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342190
Just wondering if there is a "sticky" function on xda? Making threads such as this one and Bunnybugs' more prominent would save a lot of heartache and hard bricks.

If you used ROM manager and bricked your device. Theres no way. Give it to the service center and they would replace the motherboard.
