[Q] "reverse" accelerometer, or app problem?

Hello all!
I have been a proud user of Galaxy Note user for a bit over a week now, and I am trying to test (in real app-world) if all the sensors are working correctly to be able to bring change it at the store if something doesn't work, since I'm eager to root my device and I probably won't be able to return it then.
Yesterday I installed the game AirPenguin, which uses accelerometer controls, and it seems all messed up. Basically what happens is that as soon as the game starts, the bird goes flying way left, even though I am holding the phone still. What I found out after experimenting a bit was that the game itself is locked to portrait mode, but the accelerometer works as if it was in landscape. Meaning I have to hold it in landscape, and when I then tilt it left, the bird flies left in game-screen, but left is down from my point of view.
I was wondering if anyone else has seen such problem in this game or any other app, and if it is just a game bug or if there could be a problem with the accelerometer.
The stock accelerometer calibration works without a problem - when I tilt the phone left, the ball goes right, and when I tilt it right, it goes left (I suppose that's how it's supposed to be).

I'm facing the same problem on my Galaxy Note, I wonder if that happens also on other android devices or it's a galaxy note issue only?

i dont have the app, but is auto-rotate (that thing in the notification bar) turned off or on? try changing that to see if it fixes it?

Nexus and HTC Flyer, too any solutions?

Same problem with my Galaxy Tab 7+ P6200. I have encountered so many games in the google playstore with this problem. Too bad, i hope the app developers fix this problem for our devices.

afair there was a free app for comprehensive hardware testing, it was called Z-Device test, if stones interested, and google does not hello, I may try to find the link or apk later

[Q] Touch screen - horizontal position

I have a problem. When the phone is located for example on a table. This touch screen responds very hard (when it is in the horizontal position). when phonei is in the a vertical position, the screen works very well.
I have firmware 12.0.A.1.257.

yes sometimes
when i connect to my laptop it used normal
but when i connect to my PC i cant use my phone
maybe erro from hardware but i think u should tick off gloves mode in setting

so i decided to buy this phone but after reading this issue i kinda changed my mind but i thinks this may work
i bought a Xperia Tipo for my baby brother last week and it has touch sensitive issues just like SP when it placed horizontal ( i watched the Utube Videos and it looks exact the Same) but i found a little Mod App called (Touch Calibrate) i want you test it for me and say that if that worked for you or not!

Did You Check Unknowns Resources in Settings?!

Touch Irresponsive, Screen Freezes
Like a lot of users, I am also having problems with the xperia SP's touch screen. The touchscreen becomes randomly irresponsive. Sony acknowledges the problem and suggests:
"This have now been investigated and if you experience this problem I advice you to contact your local support team to have your phone calibrated at a repair center."
The problem is in live in Bangladesh and they do not have official Sony tech support centres. Does anyone know how to do the touch screen calibrations ? Any DIY solutions will be highly appreciated.

[Q] why my Gyroscope/accelerometer work only in portrait mode?

Hello everyone,
I have a Galaxy S Advance Gt I1970, running under Android 4.1.2 (official update). the problem is when i try to play games that require the phone sensors, for example Angry Birds Go or Frisbee Forever, the player always go to the left, but then i tried "Ridiculous Fishing" which is also a game that require sensors and it works perfectly but this game doesn't rotate the phone to the landscape mode, then i tried an application called "accelerometer test" and the result was as expected, i can control the ball when am holding the phone in portrait position bust when it's in landscape, everything is missed up. Any advice please ?

Recalibrate horizontal sensor. Only in GingerBread you can do that recalibration, because it hapened to me and downgrade and recalibration is single solution i find it.

I had the same problem, i fix it getting my phone to samsung city point, it was a hardware problem, your rotation sensor is damaged inside i think ( for mewas this) if you calibrate it i think will change nothing.

Compass sensor and GPS satellite not work

Hi guys,
I've just discovered that compass sensor on my Xperia Z1 (LB) does not working. I can't event calibrate it by using service menu, all the index (Yaw, Pitch, Roll) is empty.
Also with my GPS sensor, when I run the test, it just says "Waiting for location update" like forever.
I tried stock rom but didn't get any luck.
Is there any one here experience the same issue?? Help me please !!!

Never faced same issue but Try flashing stock ftf using flashtool or repair function of pc companion...

[Q] XT1095 Gravity induction problem

Hi friends:
My device is XT1095,and I find a prolem about Gravity induction now:
when I launch the camera app, I found that the interface is abnormal which means that all settings and icons are rotated compared with the normal,I think the problem is the Gravity induction,and I try erase the phone and flash the system many times, they are no work.
anyone who know how to resolve the problem ?

Can you screen shot it? If so, it's probably a software issue. If not, probably hardware related.
