do a clean install after wiping /system /preload /data /cache /dalvik cache. make sure to do these wipes on safe kernel like Philz.

That may be overkill, I'd try just installing Philz kernel then wipe cache and dalvik, see of that clears it first, no need to reflash rom.

Don't factory reset under stock kernel, flash Philz or other safe first.

so you arent bricked then
if you can bet into cwr to install a gb kernel then rstoire if not you wil lneed to use pc odin to flash a rom
Did you wipe cache, dalvik, and factory reset?
Upgrading from GB to ICS will usually loop if you don't reset the phone.
Do not wipe cache, dalvik, or factory reset
In fact, stay away from CWM and use PC-Odin to flash a stock image.

Each and every cm rom bootloops on my ace...
I have tried a no. of cm roms but no change...they all bootloop...stock roms work flawlessly....
Roms tried...
-cm 9 maclaws rom
-cm 9 s3 evolution
-cm 7 apocalypse
-cm 7 miracle v4
-cm 10 maclaws rom
(all install successfully but they they restart again and again...tried wiping evrything before and after flashing a rom )
I am currently on s'perience rom and has used stocklite v7.1 before it and they both work flawlessly....
Any useful advice is REALLY APPRECIATED!
Thanks in advance!!
Wow, this is weird..
Sorry, i can't help u a lot, but i can provide my step to flash those ROM:
1. Make sure your device is rooted and CWM 5 is installed
2. Place ROM in your SD card
3. Boot to CWM, wipe data, wipe dalvik cache
4. Select install from SD card
6. Then wipe data and wipe dalvik cache once again
7. Reboot your phone
Hope this is useful.

Before you flash the rom.. recovery>mount and storage>format system then flash..(do also the other wipes)
Also format /system, /data and /cache from mounts and storage before flashing the rom.

Yes...it is cwm based recovery 5.0.2.6!
Owh, sadly, i don't what happen with ur device.
Are this problem related to Galaxy Ace type?
are u sure you are on S5830? its likely that u are since non-cm roms for s5830 worked on ur phone.
Try this make the 3 wipes before and after flashing the rom, sometimes i face bootloop because of not wiping after installing the rom. If this fails then how abt chnging ur SD card, although thats far fetched it might just fix the problem.
1-Stock based roms work?
2-Did you try doing "mount system" before flashing?
3-Does it say installation successful/finished/etc or are there problems??

Are you saying that you format system, cache and data after flashing??
You just have to wipe dalvik, cache and factory reset after flashing, and even that is also not a compulsary step.
Sent from my GT-S5830
same here. i have never ever wiped anything AFTER flashing.
another idea:
full wipe => flash rom => start => get again to cwm => flash same rom again (no wipe or anything)
dont know if this has eny effect, but i heard sometimes flashing twice fixes some problems. might work for you to

what i would try in this situation is.
1. install philz kernel for you rom.
2. boot into cwm
3. mounts and storage
4. format /system, /data, /cache, /preload
5. advanced > reboot download
6. connect to pc and use odin to flash the rom again

dont follow that method it uses cwm. zip known to be unsafe...
Also only do the wiping factory reset only from safe kernels.
Did you do a clean install? on safe kernel
Did you do a dance?
Did you wash your hands after using the toilet?
Ok back on topic, did you change your dpi?
i had a similar experience just a few days ago. Before your /system and /data partitions get fscked up, replace the battery and retry. I bought a new battery and now the note works back normal - I think. I just used it as a mp3 player and to surf for a few hours and no instability issues anymore, boots up perfectly.
Original battery was dated november 2011. The new one (also genuine samsung) is from october 2012 I believe.

why not install a brick bug safe kernel like Philz for example and then do the wipes.
Edit: Just noticed that you asked this question after you actually gave answer for the same:
Are wipe data cache or battery stats ...or make a factory reset ..if y are on safe kernel ..
Hit thanks if my solution worked

It's only ICS kernels that have the brickbug. You're safe.
