Anyone remember those WP-like rotation animations from some of the Gingerbread ROMs? CheckROM HD has it, if I recall correctly!
Is there any way to implement such rotation animations into a Jelly Bean ROM?

WP scrolling is ported to JB long time ago man!!!
It is just a mod; if you want to know how to do it, see the 2nd thread in my signature
Thanks for your reply!
This is what I mean:
The screen rotates with a super-smooth, reconstruct animation to the next orientation. Not a rotate and fade to next orientation as we see in our ROMs today.
I wish I had a way to show what I mean.....

You can adjust it's effect in CyanogenMod settings if that's any help.

I've just installed a pack of modifications wich contains screen off animation,
i dont want to use it, so how can i remove it and install the stock ?
which file in the framework-res.apk do i have to change ?
thanks for answering,
A simple way is, just turn off animations in display.

Enable window and transition animations in the spare parts app and disable animations in settings. This should give you animations without crt animation.

So there isn't a file to delete or modify to disable the CRT animation? I updated to MilkyS 1.2 from stock 2.3.3. and would like to continue using NoLed, but if I use the "blinking" -option I get CRT-off for every blink and it's not so nice. It also seems that the button backlights blink too even if I disable them from NoLed settings.
Any ideas? A modified framework-res.apk or something?
Sorry its off topic, how do u make the led's blink ?
Been trying this for a while SGS i9000 Simply Honey

I meant that the "leds" blink at the same time with NoLed's icons. And it does it even if I try to disable it via NoLed's settings. It might have something to do with MilkyS rom's BLN support.

Actually in some roms this doesnt work. Is there another solution to keeping the animations but not the screen off crt animation?

Yes im running cm7 nightly and my display animations are off and the window animation and the other setting are On.. but i still get the crt animation when i turn on my phone and its annoying to wait 10 seconds for my screen to show up lol
yeah you can by modifying a file in framework-res.
look for res\values\bools.xml
then find <bool name="config_animateScreenLights">xxx</bool
Replace the xxx by false or true.
ex : If you have true, type false.
hope it helps.

Hey All
1st post here.
Im from Cape Town, South Africa.
I have recently installed Slimbean 2.3 on my Galaxy S. Was on Slim ICS 4.2 before.
Everything works like a charm and I am very happy.
One thing that I havent managed to figure out yet, is the following. (And yes, I have searched, and also Im not allowed to post in the Slimbean thread):
On the lockscreen, where you have the unlock slider, I can not find the "sound/silent/vibrate" toggle anywhere.
So when your phone is locked and you want to change it to quiet/silent without having to unlock first, you simply slide to the "sound on/off" shortcut and it changes the phone setup to silent or vibrate and vice versa.
I have tried to find the setting in ASS lockscreen settings and I can change it to all sorts of app shortcuts, etc, I just cant find the sound switch
It was one of the standard options on Slim ICS roms.
Someone please help?
Cheers
Bus
Already considered that it just isn't included in Slim Bean (yet)?

Thank you for the reply. I assume you are THE Dark knight man?
I suppose its possible for it to not be included yet...
But you godlike devs astound me with the magic that you come up with
So as a mere mortal, I just expected something so minor to be incorporate almost as a given, hehehe...
Will wait and see
thanks

Now on Slimbean 2.4 and still no option for this.
Anyone who can help?
Or know how to make it work?
Thanks
they haven't included those lock screens since GB roms
you should use an application for that capability
Hi, I was just wondering. Some review sites say that the Mini's lockscreen has the same water ripple effect as the original S3, but I can seem to find where to enable it? All I have is the animation for unlock that looks a bit like from the Tab's swipe lock screen, Honeycomb like animation effect.
It was there in 4.1.1, but with update to 4.1.2 is gone. But it can be easy enable, just look in apps and theme section or use google how to do it

I've been using BenzROM v6 that restores that functionality. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2119219 if you want to look)
this is why there is a search function on these forums
the other thing is that we seem to have a lot of users registering just to post questions that have already been asked and answered
Just to share, OnePlus One Lockscreen for all devices.

Whoa cool share. Using this on Mahdi ROM, as I posted in that thread the only thing missing is showing the notifications bar and the custom effects of Gradient / etc that we have for our one plus.

Didn't try it. I noticed a annoying bug where if I have my IME (keyboard) pulled out and turn the screen on. The lock screen would show the keyboard and would have a hard time hiding the keyboard again

Thanks. Man it just drives me crazy that certain ROMs are capable of running the lockscreen and others are not. I really love the cm11s lock screen. But I also like ROMs like Mahdi and Vanir. I'm running Vanir and its pretty smooth and awesome, but haven't seen much difference between this and crDroid. I'm alsobwaitong for the CrDroid ROM to fix some stuff before I flash again.
