Hey I think I just bricked my device..
I had CM7 on my incredible s and just wanted to install the new official ICS, because I wanted to sell it.
So I downloaded the following RUU:
http://d-h.st/7UC
Everything finished, the phone booted and got stock at the HTC logo..
I had to leave for 1hour so i just let it on the htc logo.
When I came back home the screen was black and i couldn't turn it on.
When I plug in power the Led flashed 1 time orange and turned off again.
When I connect it to the pc via usb, I hear the usb plugged in sound on my pc but it doesn't show the device..
adb doesn't show the device when i put "adb devices"
Can anybody help me out?
I really need your help!!
Thank you very much!
What happened if you press power button?Atleast can you access recovery or bootloader mode? What was the battery % when you flash the Rom? Try some another battery it might be a problem of battery too.

Nothing happens when I push the power button.. It had enought battery, during the installation it was plugged into the computer and head power..
I can't get into bootloader / CWM because it doesn't even turn on..

Okay so I took the battery out for some minutes and inserted it back in again, now its stuck at the htc logo again..
What could be the problem that it isn't booting?
Can't I upgrade from CM7 to that RUU?

Have you used adb before?

Yes I used adb before, but I got a Galaxy Nexus a few days ago, so it could be that i deleted the drivers from the incredible s..
The incredible S isn't listed when I type in "adb devices".. and the pc says: unknown device when I'm in bootloader
Is your device S OFF or bootloader unlocked via HTC dev?

Thank you, but I already had that driver installed.. I checked the device manager and I saw that it has Android USB Devices: My HTC listed..
But when I run adb devices nothing is shown..
EDIT: Maybe thats because I didn't had the chance to turn on usb debugging?
EDIT 2: Would it be possible to install CMW from the sd card?

Ok download fastboot files which i have posted in link. Turn on your device. No problem when it stuck on HTC logo. Now run cmd file from my fastboot folder and run "adb reboot bootloader" and tell me is it working or not? I am waiting for your reply. It's already 12:30AM here but i will be very happy if i can help you to turn your device on.

Okay so this is whats happening also:
When I plugin usb while in Bootloader it says: Unknown device
When I plug in USB while in fastboot it says: Android Phone: Android ADB Interface in device manager
Can I install something via sd card?
Atleast your phone stuck at HTC logo then it seems that your device is not bricked. If nothing happens then last way is only HTC service station or may be any dev can help you.

EDIT: I was able to install CWM via SD Card and recoverd one of my old roms..
Then I enabled usb-debugging and managed to get everything back to normal.
Big Thank you to everyone, I'm glad to have such an awesome community like XDA!
Hello, I'm having an issue with my HTC Vivid after I dropped it. It's stuck on the boot screen when I power it on. The phone is completely stock, and I'm hoping I can be guided in the right direction. I did a search for this issue, and found a thread on loading something off my micro SD card, but I can't find the same thread anymore. I've also tried using the official AT&T Vivid ICS RUU from my desktop, but it wouldn't detect my phone.
I've attached an image of my phone, the model, and my boot options.
Thanks in advance!

You need to make sure you have the HTC drivers....
I forget where to get them... I think there's a thread with the minimal version without HTC sync...
Once you got that... you shut off the phone... pull the battery... put it back in...power and volume down... select fastboot... plug the phone in... make sure it says fastboot USB... then run the ruu...

Success! Thank you!
For anyone else who has this same issue, I used the drivers from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1450105
Installed the drivers through My Computer>Device Manager, and RUU will detect the phone in fastboot mode.
Thanks again!
When I plug the HTC One into my computer it installs a few drivers but one driver never installs correctly. It say HTC MTP Device - Device unplugged. I think this may be the reason im having rooting my phone. Whenever I try to flash the CWM recovery my cmd comes back and says waiting for device. Even thou the HTC one is connected to the pc with debugging enabled. Bootloader is unlocked already also. Help somebody pls....
