Logitech Wireless Mouse M325 on N10? - Nexus 10 Accessories

Hi,
i bought an Logitech m325 Wireless Mouse for my N10, but it doesnt recognizes the Mouse. On my S4 it works perfectly.
Any Idea to make it working un my N10?
Thanks

On 4.2.2, Use a kernel that supports Logitech unifying receiver. (craigacgomez for example).
On 4.3 I am not sure if the stock kernel already supports it.

Thank you.
I think thats the hint I needed.
Will try on 4.3 first.

Let us know if the stock kernel on 4.3 works.

Does ps3 sixasis controller work with overcome?

Hey xda om wondering Does anybody know if overcome's kratos rom has the necessary protocols that is required if you want to use your ps3 controller as a bluetooth device?
Considering flashing but refer overcomes kratos rom.
Om using std Samsung Rom and the sixasis controller checker app reported that i didn't have the necessary protocols.
Thanks in advance

I'm not 100% on this, but from what I know the BT stack in the stock based roms will not work with the sixaxis controllers. there's a free app in the market that will check for you though:
https://market.android.com/details?...xiscompatibilitychecker&feature=search_result
Pretty sure only CM7/MIUI currently has the right config for BT to work, but then I'm on a CDMA Tab, so can't say for sure.
Okay thanks mate

Using Kratos on a P1000, and also havent had any luck.
Im guessing the blutooth stack on 2.3.3 doesn't include the proper protocols.
If you really want Sixaxis support, try Boca Rom, as it's 2.3.4.

Is there no way to add the protocol to my* overcome rom?

OTG Cable Nexus S

Hi
I recently bought a cheap OTG cable for my nexus s and is not being recognized by my phone. Please forgive me if this has already been a thread but I have just joined. I read somewhere that if you flash Matr1x kernel it will work successfully. However I will have to root it.
Does someone have another way to get it working or can you tell me how to root my phone in simple steps? Everything is appreciated
Many thanks
Sairas

Same issue here I'm rooted but on sock. I had to connect my SLR with NS but no luck so far.
Otg is not supported out of the box. It is required that you install a kernel that supports this feature. Search around and you'll find.
And yes you need to root and unlock bootloader, but once you start that, you won't recognise your phone any more good luck

With the appropriate kernel it still wont work,
there is no kernel available with 5v output, you'll need to make a Y cable (or buy one)
I also wan to make it work.

The only method to make it work is to use a kernel that supports OTG and to use a Y-cable providing external power supply...

TWRP for P1000

Anyone know if there is a TWRP floating around anywhere that works on this tablet?
I've checked the conventional route through goo manager and that was a negative. I'm just curious if there is such a thing as an unofficial version that works?

There is an HumberOS version with TWRP in it.

I take advantage of this conversation to ask: do you know if there's a way to install Humberto's TWRP on Gingerbread (CM7/Overcome/Stock)?

No you can't. As it stands now, it only works with HumberOS ROM. You've got to have someone port it over to Overcome ROM.

[Q] Google Now on stock SGH-i957

Has anyone got Google now working on their SGH-i957 running the stock ICS rom? I have it on my phone, a motorola Droid 4 via this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747224
which explains how to put google now on your ics device. I found NOTHING in the thread even remotely close to mentioning our device, most likely because we are such a small niche. I am too nervous to try flashing without knowing ahead of time if it will work. Curious if anyone has tried or knows how to get Google now on the device since I believe it was already determined we will never see JellyBean right?
Install or reinstall Google search. Now is part of it. Get it on the play store.

You are correct in your statement that Google Now is part of google search, however that feature is only available if you are running 4.1 or higher (i.e. JellyBean).
My question has to do with hacking it to get it to work on the the sgh-i957 running 4.0(Ice cream Sandwich)

You're probably right. I have 4.1.2 running on my i957 so wasn't thinking of ics. I'll have to restore to ics and see if I can get it to work.

Yep, it doesn't work on ics. You should install a custom rom. Nrvates cm10 works well.

Well i know it doesn't work via a stock ICS rom, but I am trying to see if someone has gotten it working using the hack in the link I provided, or if someone knows if this is an arm6 or arm7 processor or neither.
I don't want to go the custom ROM route. Did that before with nrvates CM10 rom and the power died and i couldn't chsrge it. Had to mail it back to Sammy for repair. Now i have it running stock, rooted, ICS and I love it... But i want google now

You can check the cpu version on settings, about tablet. I don't have mine with me or I'd check it, Pretty sure it's a 7.
It's sounds like I had the same problem with nrvate's as you. That's interesting, I thought it was just a fluke. I too repaired thru Sammy.
If I find some time tonight I might play around with this. I too like the stock ics and now I'm even more concerned with nrvate's.

I see one initial problem. The rom needs to be dodexed. The stock rom won't be. You'll have to be running a custom ics.

It works. I downloaded the offline zip for the arm 7. In recovery, cleared cache and dalvic. Flashed the zip.
Edit: it sort of works. Try it and see if it's good enough.
Edit: the online version works best, offline, not so good

Sweet! Sort of... Lol
Can you be specific about what's not working in each the offline and online versions?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I957 using Tapatalk HD
I won't mess with the off line. It really doesn't work well. The only issue I've had with the online is it doesn't always close. To close out I've had to press on the show more cards, which I know doesn't make sense but it does close it. Other than that it works well and does everything it does in cm10.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
By not closing, do you mean you swipe it away and it comes right back?
Thats a common problem with this hack. Known issue.
I run the offline version daily and other than that issue i dont really have any problems so i was just curious what your specific issues were...
I guess i'll play it safe and go with the online version
Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk 2
Ok, so I tried this out and thought i would answer my own question in case someone else was interested.
As far i can tell, THE OFFLINE VERSION DOESN'T WORK AT ALL
It is not a small bug, or quirky, it simply doesn't work. Don't even waste your time.
So far, no problems on the online version that I can see

Stock sucks, get yourself a nice custom ROM and kernel to fully enjoy the nexus. If you wanted to stay stock, you can trade it for an iPad mini. Customization is what makes android so much fun.

Good thing we've got these wonderful members at XDA to dictate what you should and shouldn't like. Please eat a sock and go back to your custom ROMs. If stock works for him, who are you to tell him he's wrong?
Welcome to the Nexus 7. I prefer stock too. Though I'm waiting on Chrome 28 for some faster browsing I must say it's really great over all.

If you just want to access files in the tablet as if it was a USB, just plug it in, no other driver needed.

Now all you have to do is download GMD gesture control (the free one). I went back to stock on my nexus 7 and am not rooted. I really wanted to try it on my tablet because it is great on my phone. Try it and see what you think. I would love to live vicariously through you right now. haha
I use official AOKP rom on my Galaxy Nexus and SmoothRom on my N7. Works great however I am thinking of throwing AOKP on my N7 too just for laughs and because it tested much faster then SmoothRom.
I like Smoothrom because they only release solid builds. I don't think they've updates the rom in months. But it just works well. I think I'm using MKernel. SmoothRom includes several kernels build as well as GAPPs. Its a All-In-One package which makes things easier. Once you flash it starts a setup where you can pick and choose lots of options like installing Android Browser and/or various kernels.
