Hey, I've the same problem here using VJLPD.
Cocore 7 has some issues that causes hangs and lagging, but the creator is working on them. Try 6.8 until a fix is available
I'm not facing this issue
and I'm using lqg with cocore e7.0
My only issue is that my battery life is awesome and I do not have lags
When I switch to 7.0, I have this problem too

It's looks like serious problem with power management in kernel. It's look like power manager suspend touchscreen but doesn`t suspend screen. After turning on screen power manager launch resume procedure which wakes up touchscreen and it start work normally.

Did you root your phone?
For UKF or Terminal you need to unpack zip, and use kernel.bin.md5

You've rooted without any problems. SuperSu installed OK . I followed the procedures UKF - Teminal but cocore-TWRP will not install.

Whats some rom? Be more precise please. You ll always be able to unbrick it using smartflash. But maybe you should simply use an unrooted rom... just use b2c tool and the option emergency recovery. And then first read, what you have to do, what it does and which kind of results you will be confronted with, then try again.
Dont mean to flame, but it seems you already did it wrong twice...

have you already tried using G-recovery?
I think you can do it in Marvel ROM, you just have to start pressing for a few times the G button while booting

i have resolved it!!!
This may kindly serve as a reference to others. i did nothing, when i was so desperate and nothing seemed to work with my problem, i have tried to format the cache, system, preload, etc. on the recovery mode. then i installed the custom rom again and BOOM! now i can use my phone like it was never done to the latter stage hehe. by the way thanks to you all who posts their help, i have tried those too but at this time may desperation luckily works. thank you all!
may be next time before flashing anything using CWM, make a nandroid backup to revert back in case of disaster
Hey guys, a noob reporting here. I recently rooted my phone using @Shaaan 's method, thanks a lot bro.
Now I want to install this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1873119
I want to do it without increasing the binary counter. What the hell is DD? or Terminal?
Is this a software or an app, or would I have to install Linux to use Terminal
Help Mee..

search google play for 'terminal' and pick one you like
I am using 'Terminal IDE' but there are many others to chose from ;]
dd is command to type inside that terminal - you can use this:
Code:
$ su
# dd if=/sdcard/kernel.bin.md5 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p15
# reboot
that is mentioned in that thread from within terminal on your cell - not necessarily from adb shell on your pc (reboot might not work - in that case just reboot using power button as usual ;p)
I did it exactly same procedure installing ThunderZap on JB from inside cell using terminal app.
Other option you might want to try is to use Universal Kernel Flasher by frapeti (here on xda or on google play)
Oh god I flashed that using PC, and after it rebooted, it is stuck on the Galaxy S Advance splash screen. how long am I supposed to wait.

Thanks added bro. Ok I have decided to go with the CWM version.
One more problem, when I type adb shell and then type adb devices, it shows list of devices attached but the list is empyt even though my phone is connected and usb debugging is enabled? What do I need to do?
Do I need to go to stock recovery and select install from adb?
See this screenshot please.
All done, installed it successfully.
Can I install GALAXPERIA over DDULP8 firmware?
So I tried to root my Galaxy S Advance using Odin. Everything went well until the reboot part. It's been stuck at the Samsung Galaxy S Advance logo screen for a while. What can I do ?
Thanks !

That root method with Odin is for Android 2.3. You tried it on 4.1.2? If yes, then download your JB firmware again and install it with Odin (like you did with that root). And use this for root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2087424

Guys, I've encountered another problem and I thought it wasn't necessary to open another thread. So..I managed to root my phone and I would like to install a custom ROM but I have problems with Clockwork mode. I found a thread about temporary CMW for JB and I tried it but it doesn't seem to work. I installed it but when I want to navigate through it's menus (for example going to the "install zip from sd card" menu) it restarts. Even when I try to reboot my phone ("reboot system now") it doesn't work. CWM just restarts. Any thoughts ?

Install CoCore with Universal kernel flash, and use permanent cwm. You need to unzip it, and use kernel.bin.md5 and you must have some root explorer installed.

No, you cannot change kernel without rooting your phone.
And rooting has a lot less risk of bricking phone.

Remeber the more info you give less question I have to ask.

Then flash kernel image from Rashr app. Choose any stock based kernel. I like ok kernel. In the zip extract the boot image and then flash it through Rashr app from playstore. There you go kernel and recovery.
