Because we have other flash memory as Nexus 7 etc. Still you can try Lagfix. It won't kill you're device!

You give you're answer yourself. If lagfix doesn't do anything it isn't effected. As I said before, we use different memory!

what is this? improve stability?
After running lagfix, sequential write is 1.26 MB/s... I'll try to see if it starts to decrease without running lagfix.
2014-09-29 12:11:55 1.26 MB/s (initial value after first lagfix, strange but true)
2014-09-29 16:44:05 1.32 MB/s
2014-09-29 16:50:27 8.44 MB/s
In this time interval, I updated Whatsapp from Google Play Store and used some other programs.
2014-09-29 22:53:53 1.24 MB/s
2014-09-29 22:58:06 1.30 MB/s
At this point I ran lagfix again:
2014-09-29 23:00:29 8.00 MB/s (value after a new lagfix)
2014-09-30 13:24:19 6.92 MB/s
2014-09-30 19:23:21 4.03 MB/s
After using Ccleaner for Android:
2014-09-30 21:02:42 5.42 MB/s
After updating 3 apps from Play store:
2014-09-30 21:21:19 1.31 MB/s
At this point I ran lagfix again:
2014-09-30 21:28:21 6.55 MB/s (value after a new lagfix)
I'm using "Androbench" app, so apparently we have the well-known TRIM bug on internal storage and lagfix seems to help (tested with 4.1.2 only).
Our eMMC chip is SEM08G, according to "eMMC Brickbug Check" app.
According to this page, it has TRIM support.
mmc: quirks: Fix erase/trim for certain SanDisk cards.

Code:
MMC_FIXUP("SEM08G", 0x2, 0x100, add_quirk, MMC_QUIRK_INAND_CMD38)
There is no native TRIM support in Android 4.1.2 because it was introduced for the first time in Android 4.3:
Yet Another Reason to Update to Android 4.3: TRIM Support
This explains why the chip doesn't play well with stock rom.

Hi guys, I'm writing this post because I'd like to know if my writing and readind speed of the INTERNAL SD are normal for a stock rom or if there are some problems. I tested it with Antutu and my results are:
Writing Speed 5.6 MB/s
Reading Speed 8.7 MB/s
I actually have JVU rom with stock kernel, I dont'like custom roms and kernels and I prefer keeping the stock ones. I also tried JVS and JVT with same results. I'd like someone of you to post his benchmark with stock roms.
Thank you in advance.

Thank you for your reply. There is an excessive difference, expecially in reading speed. Even if you have a different Galaxy S.

Yes, it is. I'm worried about reading, not about writing.
Any other bench?
when I only tested sd:
write:6.5MB/s
read: 17.2MB/s
When I did a default test:
write:6.7MB/s
read: 20.6MB/s
Mine sgs is overclocked to 1200, but that shouldn't alter the score that mutch.
Maybe try another rom or go back where you bought it and sent it in for repair.

There is a firmware (XXLPY) as well as an Update to the firmware (XXLPZ) both available.

Ive installed XXLQ4
Differences I noticed :
Alarm Clock fixed
Phone less laggy feels even more buttery now
Improved stability
USB issue fixed
Minor bug fixes..
.. N yes now it eats about 110 mb lesser RAM atleast in my phone!
Overall heavy improvement so its an important update you shouldnt miss. Dont worry you wont lose data for upgrading even via Odin.
Jb over custom ROM and Kernel
Hi thank you very much for helping me, my question is this.
S I have a modified I9070 with jet mod and its custom kernel, so my question, which Is a very noob one, is that if I install following the procedure in the android development forum, do I have to go back to stock GB or just do it over the current system....
Again thank you

I have found that my phone hangs (also lags a lot of times) a lot after upgarding to LQ4.
I have tried factory reset and cache wipe.
Are others also experiencing this?
Or is this because i restored backup of apps + system data with titanium?

i think Z version is more responsive than Q
i updated mine all via kies from Y-Z-Q dont want to
fresh odin Q cause i have nice game save that i dont want to loose

Someone knows when XEO version is going to be released ?

Unfortunately Samsung's Dialer app (along with many of their other apps) are slow and laggy.. Its just the way it is probably due to bad porting or coding by them.. nothing much can be done to fix this issue... Its a bit "faster" to some extent in my ROM (Sami OS) and also in HarshJelly I think..
The only possible way to get rid of it is by using CM or any CM Based ROMs because its "TouchWiz Free"..

JB(4.1.2) is laggy and not effective solution.
better try custom roms and enjoy.
My device once had stock JB and it worked well indeed. However, it probably needs time to settle in and will be smoother. Every rom is laggy at the very beginning of usage after flashing.
Root your phone, and flash cocore kernel. Better yet, install HarshJelly, it's a stock based rom. Or any custom rom if you prefer. Nothing much you can do if you don't want to root your phone. Or maybe upgrade your jb firmware to the latest one, LQL

should i use 6.8 or the latest version??
Latest version (9.0) allows CPU overclocking. Your phone may or may not be stable at 1.28ghz, instead of stock 1 ghz.
If it turns out to be a problem, then go back to 8.6, 6.8 is hopelessly old... or just use no frills CPU control to set your cpu back to 1 ghz and enjoy 9.0
Stock 4.1.2 + cocore 9.0 flies...
Just set your cpu to 1.0

6.8 works on 3 advance without problems. all others versions lags/reboots etc (for me)
9.0 testing
If you want to stick with stock firmware mean root it and uninstall the bloatware comes with stock os. Use the greenify app to stop the unwanted apps running in background.
Or else try custom jelly or kit Kat Rom. Lot of roms available for our model.
Your wish

Try using JB Stock without SDCARD.
If the problems go away this is the problem.
I suspect that the JB version for SGA has trouble dealing with SDCARD. It is no coincidence that the internal storage has been a priority for several most current devices.
Unfortunately we have very little internal storage.
Advise a SDCARD good quality and good speed.
Also avoid occupy it completely. This goes also for internal storage.
Another good practice is to optimize from time to time the SDCARD.

I use Cocore 8.2. long time without lags, freezes, hangs, etc..
Happened a reboot , but only one in months using normally.
Totally Acceptable.Probably no connection with JB Stock or kernel. But Android itself
Dialer, message, etc..Only replaced and solved.
Stock camera has also worked well. Just always use internal storage and no more problems.
Launcher: "NOVA" . Smooth and without lags.
Anyway, using for months, I have no more complaints about stock JB.
SGA is not the fastest smart and has only 768 RAM, but everything works fine with JB Stock.
Of course I'll try AOSP or CM in final version.

Usually multitasking on CM 10 and above always slows down your device because of huge RAM and CPU requirement. Can you try increasing the CPU speed to 800 MHz and see if it makes a difference? If it doesn't, then it must a problem with the rom. Don't forget our device was not meant to get an official update after Gingerbread because of its low hardware specifications. Do post the result. Hope I Helped
