Hi guys.
My note have Sweet Rom v10, with JB.
But i want increase some fps in some games, like, Real Racing 3, Nova 3. Can I do overclock on note with Tegrak or use any kernel with over, like nx?
Make an swap, and over, the performance gain up or no?
Thanks.
Use COH kernel

I install, but how I take it in overclock, without tegrak?
It is fully overclocked to 400 MHz

So i finally flashed my Note with the ICS repack from chainfire and i want to overclock it to about 1.5ghz. Wich kernel is the best at the moment to flash with this from?
Fyi I already have root and setcpu installed.

If i am not wrong then there are no separate kernels available for ICS roms. The default CF kernel which comes with ICS is the only kernel that runs with ICS roms.
Correct, and unfortunately it's clocked at 1.2 Ghz.
But still underclocked the speed difference to GB is quite noticeable being ICS buttery smooth whereas GB had its fare share of hiccups.

Ok guys thanks for the reply's i will use my Note without overclocking for now.
It is indeed smoother than GB but I wanted to speed it up because a friend of mine wanted to compare my Note to his G Nexus. I know i cheat from time to time

Hey guys,
I am pretty new at this rooting stuff and with all my courage I finally rooted my phone successfully without increasing binary counter or any yellow triangle . But I am not satisfied. I am happy with stock ICS but want to overclock the processor.
My question is will overclocking increase the binary counter and display a yellow triangle on my phone? And which tool will be good to overclock. I know few of them like tegrak, setcpu, antutu cpu master etc.
Thank you.

You must have a kernel that allows overclock before you can use those software to set it up. If you flash a kernel using mobile odin it will not increase the binary counter. I used Franco kernel r5 with Franco updater that allows overclock to 1600 MHz.
So does the stock kernal support overclocking?

I've rooted my international Note and overclocked to 1.6GHz using Tegrak. All you need is root and that app and you can overclock, and all you do is tap a button and it loads a file into the kernel allowing overclocking within the app. Hope this helps.

I use Franco R5 as well with his app and Tegrak only for the GPU.
Using Tegrak to overclocl to 1.6Ghz never gives me good results...very inconsistent while with Franco I get super performance and consistency that you can see on my youtube channel and that is how I got my personal Quadrant record of 5823 (for those who like benching).
Performance for tough emulators like MAME reloaded benefit greatly from the extra speed.
So will ONLY overclocking with the app (tegrak) and NOT flashing customs kernals increase the binary counter and display yellow triangle at startup?? (I know that triangle causes no harm but still i consider it very ugly
That is my biggest question right now!!

The free version is non-permanent and has to be loaded after every restart. But I don't have a yellow triangle and my binary counter hasn't gone up.
Now this is something totally wierd!! I overclocked my Galaxy Note to 1.6 Ghz and locked the GPU to higher clock but when i ran quadrant, instead of increase in score there was a DROP of 500. And each time i ran it the score went on decreasing.
Score at 1.4Ghz -->3697
Score at 1.6Ghz -->2498 :what:
Can somebody please explain me the reason??

What are the individual scores? The CPU score might have gone up but the GPU might have gone down due to not enough power.

If you are using tegrak that is exactly what happens to me. I get about 4700 stock and with tegrak I can't get my CPU down and score 3k or get a 5k run but with Franco r 5 I get around 5500 and my personal best 5823 so I only use tegrak for gpu

Yes I do use tegrak. The thing is that I fear to use some other kernal. Your scores are awesome, wish i could get such scores on my phone on stock kernal. Is there any other effective tool which will TRUELY overclock my phone??

Sadly there is not much options right now to overclock..either Tegrak or a kernel that has it already built in which is why I do not change Franco R5. Hopefully we will get more options soon.

custom roms come with custom kernel which would have helped you in undervolting or overclocking. When you flash stock rom it replaces the kernel with stock kenel, hence back to the normal state.

hi guys. i need to know the link of a possible overclock kernel to install on my lg optimus dual with cm10 because from the cyanogenmod i can overclock max at 1000GHz ( i dont know if theres a way to overclock >1000GHz without changing kernel)and how to install it. thank you all!!
there are no kernels that support overclocking yet. have to wait for someone to release a kernel that supports overclocking.

Hey i want to overlcock my gpu to 400mhz for better gaming so does it drain more battery and how can i overclock it ?? . Sorry my english isn't very good ^^!
Use this app to overclock your gpu https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tegrak.overclock.ultimate and addition to this you need a modded kernel.. When i used this app the most appropriate kernel for this app to work is hydracore at that time

Not sure haven't tested GTA, most gameloft shooters seem to hold up better after this. Our gpu seems to sit at 200mhz most of the time unless forced, so most games should benefit in theory, whether it will be noticeable depends on the game, some are just badly optimized like dungeon hunter 4 and spiderman, not much we can do about that

I know that this Tweak is for GPU. But i think overclock the GPU will also change the behavior of the Core activity? Because without this awesome Tweak, there is only one, sometimes two Cores activ (in NFS MW). Now with this Tweak there is the most Time all Cores activ.
How to use this script please help because i think it's not working in rom toolbox terminal emulator

Download something to monitor the gpu frequency to see if it works, for some reason this tweak doesn't allow the gpu to go as high, probably because its locked in performance mode. Most kernels the max it can go is 416mhz, on kholks its 468mhz. Not all games are improved by this, it depends on what sort of stress the game is causing. Some need more CPU, and others like MC4 need GPU more than the CPU
