Same here
Same here. SG-6500
CM10 4.2.2 Build 7/7 : Good.
CM10 4.2.2 Build 7/13 : White screen
CM10 4.2.2 Build 7/18 : White screen
Reflashed back to build 7/7 since that's the only latest build working for me. Each flash was accompanied by factory reset, data wipe and dalvik wipe.

I've experienced similar problems.
Installed latest stock on my 6500D.
Installed 10.1 20131011 and gapps.
No problems after boot. Synchronisation with my accounts.
Everything worked fine.
But when I push the home or the power button a bit later after the screen turns off by itself....
That white screen appears.
So I wait until the screen turns off by itself and after a couple of minutes there is a 50% chance the white screen shows up again. Or the regular lock screen.
While charging the white screen comes up all the time. No exception.
I can live with that, but it's not the best solution for me.
Any advice on that phenomenon?

You installed the right one I too have 20131011 build and NO WHITE SCREEN. Some are reporting this issue while myself and TheWhisp are not hence how to fix something not broken? I suspect some have slight different hardware what I don't know.
I would do a clean install, back everything up to TB and extcard. Then do cache and dalvik wipe, format internal card all formats except extcard then flash rom.

I met this problem before. I don't know how many times i try this problem still occur.
Lastest, I just try using cm-10.1-20130707. and its works for me.

I have 07/07 no ws , all other rom versions have the ws for me ... It seems that many people have this problem.
So its a problem coming from kernel 2 to 3 ?

I found solution for white screen bug ,just disable the lock screen in settings and your problem solved  you can use 3rd party lock screen. I use widget locker. Tested on cm 10.2

Try with underclock your device!

More you will whine, more you will wait for thewhisp to fix this problem. Seriously. Begging for "how to fix" , "fix it now" , "omg I have white screen" won't help even a bit. Just wait at thewhisp to fix it. He said that he won't do it until peoples stop whine about it. He was trying to fix NFC but peoples started to whine more and more every day, now he won't fix it because he have enough of reading cry posts. He is tired of white screen posts and already told that he won't take his time to find solution because all of you whiners. Stop it and maybe he will change his mind

You should use a wipe stock ROM when flashing through Odin.
Since struck at logo, battery may be ok, nevertheless as a blind shot, why don't you try with another battery.

having the same issue right now.. i rooted my stock rom, and used speedmod 15 version. This morning the screen started flickering and occasional power offs. Then the battery reading was incorrect - first 60%, then it went to 65%. After a restart it went to 12% after which I just recharged the phone as usual. No problems until this evening again it went bad and couldn't restart. I can however restart in CWM recovery and luckily have a NAND backup and Titanium backup of everything that is important to me.
I also managed to recover the /sdcard partition with adb pull command. Right now the phone will not boot past the startup animation. I already tried CM 10.1 31.12 nightly and also 9.1 stable, and have the exact same issue.
Anyone know how to fix this except for wiping? Because I already wiped everything while trying the CM builds.
First check if the battery is good. Also try a different battery.
Also this time installing the rom, try in cwm, mounts & storage, format/system, format/data, format/cache and then flash the rom

just a quick update, I ran in recovery mode and did an fsck on the 9 and 10 partitions, i got a lot errors that got "fixed" by fsck. After that I just reflashed the CM10.1 nightly and it made it past the boot screen. Not for long though. After restarting it didn't get past the boot screen again.
I gave up yesterday night and just started downloading the latest official GB. This morning I flashed it with odin and it kind of worked, until i got force closes in the wifi settings step of the setup wizard.
Now it boots into android but doesn't get past the wizard screen. I will try flashing the GB rom once more through odin, maybe that fixes some things.
any other suggestions? If it is the battery, would it make any difference if it was plugged into the wall charger while starting the phone?
---------- Post added at 12:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:03 PM ----------
another update: I did a factory reset on the GB rom and am using it while connected to the wall charger. It seems to be working OK like this. So I guess I need to find a battery and try to restore my apps and settings
Another update, I ordered a brand new genuine battery and now it seems to work stable again. I just used it as a mp3 player and to surf for a few hours and no instability issues anymore, boots up perfectly.
Original battery was dated november 2011. The new one (also genuine samsung) is from october 2012 I believe.

Did you wipe cache and dalvik cache?
Next time read the threads for a new kernel or a new Custom Rom here in XDA and follow the installation instructions carefully. This reduces the chances of error dramatically.
But first try to clean the caches and reboot again.
Just wiped Dalvik Cache and Partition Cache but i still can't boot.

Please try the factoy reset.
As the poster before said: factory reset is a possibility.
But: only if you really sure you're using a recovery in a safe kernel. This should be from what you told before.
Another option I would try first:
So I would search for the Philz kernel for your ICS and install this first in CWM. Maybe you can boot with this into Android. If not this gives you a safe environment for factory reset or installing a new Rom
When you want revert from HydraCore v7 kernel you need to flash this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32806581&postcount=10783
After flashing this .zip, see if it boots properly, then you can try flash any other kernel that you want (speedmod, philz, or other version of HydraCore/Notecore)
Edit: oh I see this file isnt avilable anymore, so try this link:

Trouble flashing jfbs kitkat rom

I have tried multiple times to flash jfbs's Kitkat rom without sucess. I am using CWM 6.0.4.5 from his OP, have tried different downloads of the rom, have done multiple wipes and factory resets, all to no avail.
After the install I get the boot animation that runs for about five minutes then boots to a black screen with the status or navigation bar (the one on top of the screen with battery level and signal strength) but the bar is on the bottom and the rest of the screen is black. Any help would be appreciated.
I am able to flash other roms without a problem including Kitkang v1 by Awsome.
Any help would be appreciated.
I have seen the status bar problem, but it normally goes away after a couple of seconds, the longest I had it was about 3 mins when opening Facebook. Try wiping everything including internal SD. Not you external. See it that helps

I would try that too. I really don't know why its giving you troubles, but you shouldn't have to wipe sdcard even though it's recommended. I have some newer builds, but I'm trying to get the stock camera working before I upload another.

Let's try something else. I'll upload a new build and see if changing the kernel made any difference. It'll take about 15 minutes, so keep an eye on the cm11 thread and avoid the 12/25 build for the time being.

New build 12/29 did not work...same problem. Tried 12/08 rom and it installed ok then tried a dirty flash to 12/29 rom and had all kinds of problems. Went back to AOIP 4.2.2 for now.
I'm having the same problems. I've tried checking md5s and they match. 12/29 boots up from a clean install until I install banks standard and or core gapps. With standard gapps it locks up at the splash screen. With core gapps it locks up when it says android is upgrading.
Basically once I install gapps it's doomed. Same results with cwm and twrp. How are others able to install this ROM?
Are you wiping cache and dalvik-cache before installing gapps? If not before, after installing? Either way should work.

[Q] How to fix ''fixed'' camera?

I've got an issue with camera - I reboot to recovery, wipe data/factory reset, format/system, install ROM, install hotfix, reboot - just like in instruction. And when I try to record video with camera app (Gallery2.apk)- on high quality compression I see just grey colour screen and on lower qualities, there is a green colour, stripes, sound only.
I've seen that video recording should be working already couple of versions ago, so what am I doing wrong?

I would suggest you to flash this rom and hotfix again from CWM 5. It could be CWM 6 causing the problem as CWM 6 is still not stable. Your only option is to flash the stock rom using odin. Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin,
Flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 using odin
Once installed, go to recoverymod and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. As for rooting and installing CWM 5, goto stock recoveymod, choose "apply update from sdcard", then choose the root package first. Perform similar steps to install CWM 5 too and then choose "Reboot system now". Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace,

Dear friends,
Mr. Mardon released new stable CM 10.2 with included hotfix! I tried that with CWM 6 and... still same ****.
Then I did it your way - flashed stock ROM, root, install CWM 5.0.2.6, installed new stable release (in Submit bug section there was my post marked as ''resolved'') and - NOTHING!
The only change is that on ''extreme'' quality compression, I get same green stripes as on other qualities instead of just grey screen. One guy there (at least one - one who posted that too) has the same problem. It's really frustrating for me...
At this moment I have CM 7.2 adrenalin ROM in device and... thinking about future
What you mean, guys?

I'm sorry to hear that it's not working. Since there is no change even after flashing through CWM 5.0.2.6, this must be a rom related problem. Since you already have 10 posts, now you can directly post this question in the corresponding rom thread so that the owner @Mardon can reply it. Please post the solution here nonetheless so that if anyone encounter the same problem, they will know what to do. Hope I Helped
