[Q] help needed for unresponsive touchscreen

my touch 3g became unresponsive at right lower corner of the screen. within a day, whole of screen became unresponsive

I have the same problem but fot the left part of the screen. Any ideas?

Yuppers. The digitizer's borked. Have it replaced, it costs some 12 Euro on eBay.

I had the same problem with my Jade.With a simple action it came back to life.I took a sharp knife and raised a bit the plastic upper cover on the Digitizer.It worked instantly.Perhaps a small quantity of air or humidity has entered between the Digitizer and the upper plastic cover.This was the problem of my Jade.When i looked on the screen with the light off i could see some shapes on it.If you can see them too,perhaps you're having the same problem.

Replaced Digitizer Malfunction

Hi to all,
After droping my phone a few times, I had many black pixels wich were increased while charging and then decreased again. I also had Newton circles and if there was pressure for some time the digitizer appeared stuck and was not responcing untill were pulled with tape or by "kissing" the stuck spot. I bought from e-bay a digitizer and a lcd screen(Item number: 280609930728), replaced them both (for the digitizer i used hair dryer and the inclueded opening tool to seperate the digitizer and UHU glue to glue the new one).LCD is working fine but I tried to align the digitizer but it was looping, I also tried programs to do that from pc, still not getting ressults, I tried to reset the numbers from registry and they returned, I also got loosen the screws by 1/4 of a turn and nothing happened. I did not hard reset but something tells me that it won't help. Any ideas?

have u tryed to align the screen with oem solution?
settings>align screen?

You had put the wire tape of the digitazer upside-down. turn it over and it will be ok.

Cracked screen - need digitizer?

I have a Galaxy Captivate from a friend who has dropped it and shattered the screen. The bottom 4 touch buttons light up when the phone is powered on, he claims that there was a very faint image on the screen but so far it hasn't displayed anything for me.
Is it likely that a touchscreen + digitizer can fix this, or is it likely that something else is wrong with the phone? The touch buttons lead me to believe that I may be able to replace the screen + digitizer and have it work again =/

cracked screen, display still working, just replace digitizer?

Like the tittle says, screen is still working, but the glass has a big tear and a crack with small splinters where the back button is
Would replacing the digitizer be enough?

[Q] LCD Issues?

I Cracked my screen to the point the bottom half no longer worked. I got a replacement and installed it. My LED light comes on and I can feel the vibration when 'unlocking' but my screen is black/blank. Does this mean I have a faulty LCD screen or do I need to do some type of hard reset?
