I was checking HTC website for a factory image for my HTC One GPE Original and these files show up on the search. Is there a way to flash these via ADB/Fastboot? They don't appear to have any .img files after I unzipped them. Any help is appreciated, I am trying to ressurrect my One GPE original. BTW, I found them on the htcdev devcenter downloads. Thanks.
These are source code files. Nothing flashable there

I have N1 with FRF83, but with custom recovery image and some other customizations.
Since I can't OTA update to FRF91 or even 85b from custom images, how do I revert back to the stock FRF83 completely?
grab a recovery out of one of the passimg files in the dev section and flash it.
Thanks, but I forgot to mention one thing: I am a complete noob.
If you could say it in English, I'd appreciate it

Every forum needs a sticky of the latest build in both update.zip and customrecovery.zip form. This is insane

I agree with what you're saying, but all of the PASSIMG files I've downloaded that are linked in this forum and modaco come up saying that the "Compressed (zipped) file is invalid"
Is there another way to unzip these files?? Can someone post all of the original .img files somewhere so that we dont have to continually **** around with all of this ****.
FFS!

They are normal zip-files that work fine. If they are ok at the source the problem is on your end. I've never had a problem with them.
Try one of those from here. The modaco ones are correct too though.
the PASSIMG.zip files aren't actually zip files, they're "nbh" files. You can't open them up
You just put it on the sd card and boot up into bootloader and it auto loads and recovers back to stock.
Great if you have T-Mobile Nexus One since that's what's out there.
There isn't a working AT&T version that I've found.
You can open them up and extract the contents fine.
Thank you so much for this link. I'm a kind of a noob to this android thing to and I'm learning the hard way.
So, as it turns out, my HTC One came on rom verion 1.28.xxx. I later updated via RUU as there were things missing (as per the nonbranded thread by OMJ). I realized right after that my sound volume was lower... Noticeably. I asked in the regular HTC One forum, and it is well-known that the speaker volume has been lowered in 1.29.xxx. Just wondering if there was anyone out there who can make a zip to replace the sounds files/libs/framework/whatever it may be. Like that we can stay on the new base with louder sound.
Edit : I am dev unlocked and have tried multiple roms (d3rp, Viper, whomp, etc) All are the same sound output.
Please and thanks
Here is the download to the unencrypted rom.zip. It contains all the img files including hboot, radio, system... etc. This is from RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.28.401.7_Radio_4A.13.3231.27_10.31.1131.05_release_310878_signed.exe
And here is the system.img extracted. this is the rom (/etc /lib /framework etc)
This Probably should of been posted in the Q&A section. Anyway do you have a backup of the older version? Mine came with with 1.29 and your the first i've heard had 1.28.

:\ I do not. Perhaps I can find an RUU or similar in the non-branded forum. Sorry if this is the wrong section.
Edit: I may have been wrong about the number... Might've been 1.26.xxx, I have found the Asian WWE 1.26 RUU, ill get the rom out of it. Can you tell me what I would be looking for? Or for anyone that may want a link : This is the fastest server I could find
o.0 nice i found an RUU for 1.28 EUR Here
Ok I have successfully extracted the rom.zip from the 1.28 RUU, decrypted it thanks to user as i9000's Extract tool.
Which would be the sound files that we are looking for? I will upload the zip for anyone who wants.

For some reason I feel that RUU version 1.26 and 1.20 should be dropped off as well. Work should be slow, so I'll fire up one of the linux VMs and tear those two up as well.
First off, yes i'm a noob
Secondly, i apologise if this is a question that has already been answered but i swear i've been looking for a good while now and can't find the answer.
Thirdly, if this is in the wrong section then i apologise.
Now that i have that out of the way, onto my problem. I have recently purchased an HTC One and I've unlocked the bootloader and rooted it, i now want to i try out some custom roms. The trouble i seem to be having is that recovery mode requires you to flash a .zip file but whenever i download a rom, the end product is not a zip file but a folder that contains numerous other files that contain no zip file. I have still copied the folder to the phone but when i try to install through TWRP there is no recognisable zip file.
I have even tried converting said folder and files into a zip file and trying to flash that but to no avail.
I am downloading the files on a Mac, i don't know if this bears any relevance but i thought i should mention it.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Which rom are you trying to flash? and if it is downloaded into folders, surely making them into a .zip should make it flashable via recovery? if not then it's a bad rom?
I've tried several ROMs but the latest one I've tried is ViperOne. Well I thought converting it to zip would work also but no.
I never had this issue downloading or flashing ROMs to my Sensation or S2.

hmm not sure, im running rayglobe v 5.1 at the moment, maybe its a bad build? what recovery are you using?
Save link as
What's happening is your browser is unzipping the file instead of just saving it
Thank you very much for that, such a simple solution but its been driving me mad. I'll have a look and see if there is a setting to stop it from unzipping when it finishes downloading.
Thanks guys.

I came across a thread on here where you could upload your own picture and turn it into a bootscreen which you downloaded as a zip file and installed it via recovery.
Has anyone got the link to the thread please as I have searched and cannot find it anywhere.
Thanks

you mean the bootsplash, then this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42387796
and be careful, remember the bootsplash is directly written into mmcblk0p13, so you need S-OFF and the correct phone!!

Like I said, I search everywhere. That recovery is 4.20.654.10. I need 4.20.651.4. That recovery is for harman. I need the non harman. Ive searched all the threads. Many 404 links or not updated. I even googled the version to see if I could get an archived file. Nothing.

I just updated my m8 from 4.20 to 4.25, and I flashed the 4.20.651.10 full firmware from here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934527799
Just download that, unzip, and your recovery.img should be in there
