Hello, a newbie here. I just got Cyanogen mod 10.1.2 stable on my phone and everything is running smoothly except the BATTERY. It's getting drained like crazy even on standby mode by com.android.phone (blue icon) according to my Battery Mix app.
What could be causing it to run like that, and does anyone know how to fix it? Help would be much appreciated! And let me know if you need any additional info. Thanks!

use a app killer , it will show you running apps that consume battery , kill apps ,

there is a process that is using way more battery than anything and draining my phone. i am using cm 6.1
the process i found in spare parts partial wake usage... uid 10135
i cant for the life of me figure what this is...
i even Googled and still..... nothing.
I believe every phone assigns uids uniquely. You'd have to find an app that tells you what apps are running and their uid
What's the difference between "uid" & "pid"? Auto mem killer tells you the pid....don't know if that helps.

Been a while since I ran CM6, so I can't remember if this is a feature of android,
or a feature of Sense UI, but in "About Phone > Battery > Battery Use", it tells
what's been using the battery. I can't remember if that will show applications,
or just hardware that's consuming the battery. I'm sure that some of the task
killer applications will also tell you some detailed info about what processes are
running
hope that helps narrow it down.
Hi,
I want to find out which apps drain my battery most. I'm looking for an app similar to systempanel full (which can determin those apps), but I don't have a credit card so I need it to be free.
Thanks in advance, cheers
Try "CurrentWidget" its available in the market.
try this EXCELLENT app...
https://market.android.com/details?id=bt.android.elixir
it's also free....
I use Battery Monitor Widget.. you can check which parts of the OS are using your battery by going into Settings->About Phone->Battery->Battery Use
"Battery Monitor Widget" by 3c06 is the best! or you can try "battery indicator"
find in market, free apps.
is anyone else having force close problems with battery monitor widget? At first it was okay not recently it has been acting up. I'm running it on americanandroid.

i think i just updated on friday but my problem was still there yesterday. i'll go and check it out again later. Maybe i'll just uninstall and reinstall it to make sure.
reijkelhof thanks! updated it and everything is good again. i must be thinking about my nook color that i updated over the weekend.
As far as I know the "battery monitor widget" is one of the best. If you have problems with crashes then try to move the app from SD to phone. That's mostly the problem why updated apps won't start anymore. With old android my apps are installed to phone...with ginger most apps are installed to SD. After updating angry birds as example it was also installed to SD and did not work anymore.
Hello xda.I recently updated my Samsung Galaxy Music Duos GT-S6012 from ICS to JB 4.1.2 using Odin and an update package intended for another region(still counts as official update) and rooted it.I did this mainly because the TouchWiz UI was really laggy, mainly the dialpad and contacts. So i also installed Nova Launcher. The UI is now noticeably smooth apart from the uncommon lagging. But it seems I had to pay for smooth use with my battery life.Using the internet greatly reduces my battery life.Is there any remedy for it?Is there any good ROM or an efficient custom kernel out there for my device?

You can try an app called Battery Calibration ,calibrate when your battery is 100%.I also use Deep Sleep Battery Saver, see if those apps help you,if not it may be specific rom problem
Is battery doctor helpful?I have not kept note of timings, but i think the app does help the charging process faster, but i can see a drop in my battery's endurance....below 30% the charge lasts the most and below 10% sometimes it's a countdown...What's your opinion of the app?

Install greenify
It's one of the best root apps and use it to hibernate unwanted apps as long as you're not using them.
Juice defender ultimate is also worth a try... But I would recommend greenify.
Hi Monty Bhai..
Sorry to know about your problems . Well, I have the same phone and updated it to jelly bean before someday. I'm not experiencing any battery problem .
Well, I googled but didn't get any rom and kernal ..
Hmm. Some tips for you. It may help .
1. Reduce the brightness of
your display.
2. Set your screen timeout
to the shortest length
possible.
3. Turn off the wireless and bluetooth
feature when not
needed .
4. Turn off the GPS when not needed .
5. Do not leave applications
running when you don't
need them .
and lagging problem .. Hmm . Uninstall some apps which you don't need . more phone space= more smoother experience .
Hope it helps.

Get either Battery Doctor, like mentioned previously, or JuiceDefender. Battery Doctor also adds a circle battery as a notification in case you don't have one flashed or a custom ROM/Xposed module that has one.
I also hav updated it to jelly bean...batgery life is wonderful now...at 12 in the night if its 100 percent..at 8 in the morning it will be 98..and i use internet frequently and i can manage till night

Just go to the apps section in settings and kill all running apps, see if that will help.

Yes there are in the playstore. But I would not recommend kill the apps or processes as they will harm the phone and ruin it's performance. I suggest just looking for the app that is causing the drain and delete it.

it's a background process initiated by google update service..
I have the same problem here since Google installed the Play Services update behind my back. I disabled the CacheUpdateService Service via System Tuner Pro abd prevented all wakelocks from the package via Per App Hacking. See if it works. Phone is now turned on for ten hours with 9 1/2 not in deep sleep due to the great Google update... Damn.

Hey everyone
I've LG optimus 2x and I'm really tired and frustrated of Facebook and messenger app running in background.
1) it uses a lot of ram in my memory and phone is really slow.
2) It dries a lot of battery. Horrible. Yesterday I've uninstalled facebook app from my phone and I could finally use my phone without any single lag. First time in a few months that I use this phone, after that. Usually battery goes on 99% in about standby, now my phone is already 4h on standby and it's still on 100%. Finally phone works as it should be
So, question is, is there any good app or way to stop running these apps in background? I've already tried service disable but when I disabled some services app crashes and it was useless. So cross app disable and autokill apps.
If your rooted you should try greenify or install a custom rom like tonyp's PA Rom.
