Tried reinstalling it using the batch file and I still can't get into cwm. It just sits at the Sony logo until the end of time but the os loads just fine. Any tips? If not, what directory is cwm installed in so I can see what's going on? Thanks!

I keep having to flash my backup because every time I flash a script or have to force reboot my phone, when the phone boots everything force closes and the phone is totally unusable. Any help on how to solve this would be very much appreciated :thumbup::banghead:

I've tried that mate. I've deleted all backups and done fresh installs of a few different roms, but to no avail. It's got to the point that I have to keep updating my backups because the phone becomes unusable so often

If nothing helps then you can try this as the last option. You can reflash your firmware via Odin then custom recovery after rooting your phone and finally the custom rom you are using.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm gonna have take your advice and try this as a last resort. It's got to the point that I'm afraid to reboot in case it happens again.

How exactly you perform clean install? And what scripts you flash?
Try going back to a stock ROM release, then flash CWM via ODIN and from there, a rom of your choice

I flashed SlaidyBoostV2.3, it made my phone completely unusable. I flashed the Beats script too, and that had the same effect.
I perform a clean install by wiping data and cache/dalvik. Then I flash the rom and repeat the wiping process. Am I doing something wrong?

I'm having trouble getting the stock firmware for my phone. It says the firmware is for SIM unlocked phones, and my phone is locked to one network. Looks like I'm gonna have to get my phone unlocked. I'll do this as a last resort if I can't find a solution.

Lol this is my first time using Odin.. I have Odin3 1.85 installed.. How do I use it?
Sent from my Xperia Play using xda premium
Update odin... then download the cwm for odin that should be cwm.md5 or something like that... no needs to get back to stock... use one package setting and then press start...

Root for Unlocked Bootloaders ONLY
you can flash any FTF of Official JellyBean FW 9.1.A.0.489...
1) download SuperSU and place the file on SDCARD
2) download latest TWRP for JB and flash it using fastboot
3) boot into recovery and flash SuperSU update.zip
4) reboot device
You might also want to install busybox... Just go to market and download busybox installer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox) and after downloading app select /system/xbin/ as location to install busybox...
enjoy Root!
Strange.. When I tried to uninstall some system apps, one of them uninstalled, then the others failed, and now I can't do anything that requires root, almost like I'm no longer rooted...

now u can flash the kernel.sin from the FTF either using flashtool or using fastboot
You might also want to install busybox... Just go to market and download busybox installer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox) and after downloading app select /system/xbin/ as location to install busybox...

I used your link and followed instructions, I'll do it again and see if things work this time.
EDIT: No, still not working.
Stock KERNEL 9.1.A.0.489:
kernel.sin
or
LT30 Xperia_T_stock_KERNEL_9.1.A.0.489_dogsly.ftf - for Flashtool

Installed, still not working.
I have definitely done everything correctly, I have tried both SuperSU and Superuser, busybox installed to /system/xbin/
I guess I could try a different ftf, although I highly doubt it would help.

Maybe a silly question, but you did wipe data when you updated right?

Downloaded a different ftf and that one worked, must have been a faulty download...
EDIT: Nope, I tested by uninstalling one app, when I tried to uninstall others it failed again.
I had total success with this method, how every I have also had a reboot :/
Not sure what caused it and couldn't get at my pc to get hold of any kind of log.
Might just try a pure stock unrooted jb for a while and wait to see if problem is reproduced or reported by other users.
Otherwise, great work Doom, look forward to your feature packed DoomKernel once your exams are dusted!!(best of luck btw)

-enter recovery- it shows "cant mount system, cache data etc
-reboot

Is it possible to have CWM with stock kernel?
Flash back stock kernel. There are no working custom kernels yet as far as I know
Did I help? Please press the thanks button

That'll get rid of CWM. There is no way to have CWM with the kernel provided by Sony. What doom has done is included CWM in essentially what is his version of the stock kernel.

flash a .434 or .253 FTF file
Flash a 434 file. Root it and put the dual recovery back on it. Then u should be able to use the backup file u did again. Just do not wipe Ur memory otherwise it is gone. Recap. Flash 434, root, dual recovery and restore Ur backup.

Thank you guys for replying. I got it to work... I just sorta panicked. I just got this phone and was absolutely mortified when this happened. Although I do have another problem... My NFC won't work. But I'll just put that in another thread. Lol

I've got dual Recovery on my Z. Vol up for CWM and Vol down for TWRP. So here is the problem now.
I flashed a rom using CWM, rebooted and whatnot, and everything seemed fine
So I went to flash another mod and CWM just, well, didn't work... It just kept looping on the Sony logo. So I thought maybe it was a glitch, or just a one off thing... But no... It's not. TWRP still works though.
I prefer using CWM but I'm not entirely bothered about using TWRP, I just want to know WHY it's stop working. Any help???
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
The Rom you flashed probably only uses TWRP. Flashing ROM's will format /system and get rid of dual boot recovery.
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
I just checked that and apparently its supposed to use both. It was the Honami ExistenZ rom V1. I read somewhere that it could of corrupted an IMG file..... Not sure that's the reason though...
