was surfing internet and saw that there is a new firmware for Europe Open

Last time tried v20A, some bugs (sometimes no data connection, power button not resposive, power drain).
Any user with feedback for this v20B?
Anyone with link to changelog?
Need my phone to be stable with constant data connection and good battery life. So will wait for feedback. Thanks.

I picked the one from LG firmware and I also could not find a changelog.
No visible changes, 4.1.2 remains. Maybe some kernel adjustments?
I flashed it back when bigboypl leaked it few days ago, found no obvious difference to 20a
In V20A there is also the same kernel 3.1.10 build JZO54K. Only 3 MB difference between V20A and V20B.
Most noticeable change in V20B is Master Key Vulnerability fix.

did you test it again?
if it's the same as leak, it's not fully patched. without going into details, only one of the two vulnerabilities is fixed, and that vulnerability is reportedly already fixed in 20a. more info can be found on a thread by @BigBoyPL with leaked 20b.

I didn't test just recall someone talking about it being fixed. I read it probably in BigBoy's thread that you mentioned.
I was running on V20A (Zaiben actually) and it wasn't fixed, that's why I have created the modified core.jar.
Guyz you probably not following lg normal firmwares. V20B for Europe, Baltics and others is available.

Yeah, LG would put a "donate" button on their website for sure
as a non-developer user, the only changes I noticed was more bloatwares (google books, google movies )
I just deleted the bloatwares and installed eprj kernel, no changes in performance or anything, don't know about bug fixes.I recommend you guys to not install it, you'll have lots of bloatwares to deal with

Yea..its seams like only different is new app : Google books , Google Play Movies
just flashed it via b2c client the phone is NL phone so i got the official version.
from what i seen until now.
1. google books is installed called play books.
2. play music is installed
3. software update has a new wizard and license agreement.
4. all previous stopped \ greenefied apps are restored to original state.
5. bye bye root!! side-loaded it again all good.
6. cannot determine speed and memory leaks yet since its flashed 10 minutes ago.
7. 210MB free 762 used total 81 apps ; i got the standard stuff

If this is true, this will include the v20o baseband as well. Which can be extracted by flashing it with this tool, and look for the files in the temporary directory while flashing (AENEAS_FW.fls, psi.fls, R375_SIC.fls and slb.fls). How do you know it is based on v20o, since you are running it and can confirm the issues are not there? Or have you confirmed it some other way?

I have extracted the baseband files from the CIS v20b KDZ. They are different sized files from V20m baseband, but still show as baseband 1035.21_20110725
The build.prop says ro.build.date=Wed Jan 25 15:02:00 MSK 2012, so it looks like it is the most recent build to be released. I'll leave it to one of the experts to do all the deodexing etc...
Editied to put the RIL in the zip along with the fls files.

Now, if anybody could try and flash the bb, and see if you can get Fastdormancy complete with any of the v20o roms + ril out there it would mean I can finally leave my old v20m rom alone. Don't have time for this today

I only flashed the BB not the whole ROM, but I did extract the /system image as well. I've put the RIL in the original post along with the fls files.

The ROM isn't actually odexed in the first place, so I might actually try making a CWM zip out of it, or at least a few bits of it. Cooking up a whole ROM is still a bit beyond me

Flashed BB and RIL. BB is as usual 1035.21_20110725 .
It works, able to connect network. Can't say anything about call quality though. I copied the RIL using root explorer and restarted.
Both GETRIL and LG RIL Version identified it as unknown. Sent it to Trym Hansen so that he can include it in the next version.
PS. ROM right now is Flexbomb by Civato. The built in V 20 l/m RIL too works with this BB.

Feeling quite pleased with myself, I just managed to take the KDZ from this and Hell_97's v20o CWM zip, and make a working CWM flashable version of the Russian v20b
There would still be so much work to do on it to make something I could release on here, it does make me appreciate the devs who spend so much time tweaking their ROMS for the community.

Really? Strange.
I have downloaded this kdz file sometime back, not knowing what it is, from LG site. It is 215 MB
Both the links shows different file sizes. ( 134.32 and 125.9 respectively)

Maybe it's firms from other LG phones and have similar names, because I found also V20C, V20D and V20E_00 files. Let me strike the above post so noone makes a mistake and flash the above.

Thanks. My ADSL broke two days ago, so that's why there's not been any database updates. Will take at least two more days to get it fixed. (Writing this from a tethered O2x on EDGE :-()

Flix, I updated to 20S with LG mobile then restored to factory. This means that I have odexed rom, anyway your percentage battery which is supposed only for deodexed is working well.

Stock roms are also deodexed since V20q. So my tweak pack and battery mod also work on stock rom kdz.

I rather prefer a stable and performant GB-Rom, than a halfbaked ICS-Release
I'm sure we won't see any ICS-Release for the P990, as long as the P880 is fresh on the market.

I prefer a good gb based rom instead of remaining with v20q rom (too much bug)..

If you want to use official ics based rom, you can flash django X, topogigi's rom, civato's rom etc even now.
They have bloat removed, performance tweaks, custom kernel, and more features.
So there's really little reason to wait for the Indian official ics unless you like a slower phone, more bloatware, are afraid of flashing roms or it offers anything extra

There are a few bugs in the official V30A ROM that has carried over to the modded ROMs you mentioned.
Hmmm. Looks likeb Experts commented. Lolz. But what if it is really better??. Just a positive guess, unlike your negative guess.

India is follwed by SEA update...still SEA not released....looks only after cristmas....or only by jan 1st week...lets hope no more delay...

After using almost all custom roms here ..and in 10 months my motherboard was.destroyed and my phone got heated up and battery used to drain like anything got motherboard changed and on stock ROM from lg service center ...my good 2 days and 6 hours still 15% battery left finally I have decided no more flashing and all stuffs will sick to stock already the phone works like a phone and battery last like ages also the LG service told me due to custom roms n kernels your voltage and power management doesn't work properly resulting in motherboard getting heated and destroyed ...so now me also waiting for official v 30 b from LG...they told next month first week most probably we'll get official v 30 b..

It is exactly the same. I just compared the bootloader image file with the European V30A.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean when you say "they found some serious flow in JB". You mean the ROM has bugs? Or there is so many downloads and the server collapsed

I dont have exact information, but logicaly server is not colapsed, as You have 10K for download, if there were some minor bug, they would fix it, and release 20B, so I gues there is some more serious thing. I am on 20A and it is working fine, I like the new camera, only two problems are: bigger battery drain (about 30% vs ICS) and often very slow gps position lock.
Most interesting is that the statistics software downloads V20B grown and you can't download it...
The only JB firmware available to download is v20a DEU/GERMANY added 19.4
This situation is strange. The latest version of the software in LGMobile Support Tool is ICS V10K... However, this is not the servers...
I have a problem with official JB. After 2 days of using it normally, apps start crashing, alarm doesnt work ( because of that i was late 3 times for my classes at college ) and i have to restart the phone to get back to normal. So maybe that is the problem with JB

In Romania on Vodafone it is available V20B and it works to upgrade from V20A (KDZ ) without a problem!

After few days dwelling in the forum, I wanna try going back to v10h euro open firmware.
Since so far I heard is the most battery friendly + heat efficient firmware available. Or is there any better? My local ones are up to v10e only.
(everything should work even if I'm in Asia right?)
Please upload a new working link(preferably d-host because its running max speed, or anything except our friendly average file hosting sites that limits download speed and stuff)

Simon, my bootloader is unlocked, and when I reflash the kdz for v10h, it wont, boot. Does the bootloader affect the downgrade?

If you are using any other version like CM or V20a you need LG Flash Tool to roll back to ICS then update it with LG Official Tool to get back on JB

downgrade. I personally did it 2 time from CM to ICS but now I have
backed up the JB without Installing any Apps, just rooted and Installed CWM with ROM Manager and took backup now I can easily switch form CM
or from any other ROM to Stock in 10 minutes. But I love Stable CM. Most of the time my Battery usage is 40 Hours round about.

In ICS the bootloader remais locked, only on JB is unlocked.
Use "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin" to decrypt the .kdz.
Use LGFlash Tool to flash. To change from JB to ICS is the only way.

Yeah, I did that already! Thanks!
By the way, out of curiousity, speady, how did it last that long? In CM Combining lots of combination the best I got is 16 hours with 2:30 screen on time.

I don't use much apps like gemes and all this only Browser, XDA, whats app, viber, mostly. Always look at BBS how processor is running and this is how my usage and deep sleep looks like........
I have not much apps running in the Background as well......Viber really does eat your battery thats why I mostly look for it when its running the Background.
I have read about some firewall AF Firewall to be exact to stop apps running the background but I mostly use Greenify if some apps disturb me
