After searching around I couldn't find anything related so here's my problem.
After succesfully unlocking the bootloader of my Xperia Z it continues to work fine.
It prompted the initial startup screen (enter language, account info ect.)
I turned my device off and on... this is where the problem starts..
This is what i get
Sony brand logo>
Xperia brand logo>
5 repeated cloud animation of xperia logo and at the last one it stalls, Phone reboot and back to 0.
This goes on repeatedly until a hard poweroff or complete discharge ( I suppose)
So I know im kinda screwed, is relocking the bootloader any option? Contacting Sony atm for some sort of software replacement/flash anything..
Cheers, Geert
Try the safe mode, keep pressing vol down with power until the phone boot completely.
If the phone boot to safe mode than do a factory reset.

Welcome to XDA
you should go to the recovery thread in my signature. Read the first 2 posts.
Hope you recover your phone.
Hi everyone !
I have the same problem as GeertNool. My Xperia is stuck in the same loop. I have tried everything.
- Flashboot : stuck at 0% when i try to flash
- Pc Companion and SEUS = dead ends
- Safe mode : cant make it work
I read the recovery thread. It seems that the Kernel is malfunctioning but i dont understand what should be my next move. Am i supposed to let the phone reboot endlessly untill eventually the battery dies ?
Thanks a lot for your precious answers.

Yes.
When the battery dies the phone should reset itself.
After the loops end plug into a charger, not pc for now.
You should get a red led indicating low battery level charging is working.
After the red led you may get Sony boot screen or bootloops.
If you get Sony and then the charging battery icon, then charge to over 50%. Then use pc companion or flashtool to restore.
If you get bootloops then read my 2nd post from the recovery thread in my signature for bootloop tricks.
Please let me know if it works. I am looking to add the Xperia Z to my recovery guide.
If there are any questions about my guide please ask in that thread.
Thanks

Try this: hold power and VolUp for about 15 seconds. The device should vibrate 3 times in a row. It should now be off. Don't plug it in anywhere.
Download the correct flashtool beta for xperia z http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2162907
Download a known-to-work firmware ftf
Put it into C:\Flashtool\Firmwares
Open flashtool (flashtool64 if you run 64bit Windows)
Chose Flash (flash arrow button)
Chose the ftf you downloaded
Enable "Wipe: Data, Cache, Appslog"
Click flash
A new window opens with a "press back button" animation
Now plug in the device while ONLY holding VolDown. Only VolDown, no Power. The LED should turn green.
Don't interrupt the flashing process. It will take a while.
Report back if it worked.

had the same problem and i managed to fix it just showing sony sign by installing the sony update programme on the sony update website
all you do is put phone into flashboot mode.
on mine i had to hold up and power button untill it vibrates 3 times then press down volume button to get it into flashboot mode
takes a few atempts but it worked.
takes around 20 mins to download then install another 10.
i couldnt get flashtool to flash firmware as my phone is locked on 3 mobile firmware locked bootloader
i hope this helps you
update:
schaggo method works. i can breath now. thanks to @gm007
This worked great for unbricking mine !!
P.S. don't waste time for Sony's Emma flash, they do not send login credentials in real time, site says they do manual user validation ...

They never will. Read the instructions which come with EMMA. I have it working fine, officially, without any credentials.

I have the same issue here, the phone suddenly dead. Charge it using AC adaptor and wall socket and the red led flashs for about 2 hours, the orange LED never turns on. Try your advice and got this:
1) Vol up + Power not work (no vibration, nothing)
2) Flash with flashtool 0.9.10.2 beta6 with no lucky, indicated "device disconnected" after animation gone.
3) regress to flashtool 0.9.10.1, device connected and then stuck at "flashing data.....", the progress bar stay at 0% and then nothing.
P.S. bootloader is still locked but phone is ROOTED so I'm affraid it's out of warranty. Just got the phone as a birthday gift from my wife yesterday! She'd kill me if she knows that.
Update:
1) Power + Vol Up works now. The sequence does matter, I found I have to press the Power button first and then Vol Up, it dosen't work vise versa.
2) flashing still doesn't work for me. And I noticed that the LED turn green and then turn off immediately. I'm not sure if that is the cause. I'm sure when in fastboot mode (connect to USB port when pressing Vol Up), the LED turn blue and stay blue. Is my flash mode corrupted?? That's really bad!

Try sony update service or remove flashtool and install again and use another firmware(maybe the first one is corrupted).

Returning to stock
Hey guys,
I've flashed [ROM][JB 4.2.2][CM10.1][AOKP-MR1][PananoidAndroid 3.15] PAC v22.1.1 - Update: 0508 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2208249&page=65. It's working, but I'd like to try another ROM, specifically Xperia Z Revolution™ from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175903. This requires to install stock 10.1.A.1.434 firstly So I downloaded C6603_10.1.A.1.434_Generic DE, NL, world. Flashing with Flashtools 0.9.10.1 always stucks at 0%.
BL unlocked. Does anyone have any idea how to get stock 434 in the phone? Originally there were older one 10.1.A.1.340, if it's somehow important to know...
Hi,
Yesterday I tried to install a ROM (Romaur) on my Xperia Z and i don't know how i came to thit situation:
The led is blinking in red when charging.
I cannot enter the flashmode (green led doesn't appear)
I can enter the fastboot mode (but my bootloader is locked so I can't do anything)
If I try to turn on the phone it vibrates but nothing else happens.
At first i thought it was a battery problem, but i've been charging the phone all night and still the same.
Thank you for your help.
EDIT: Solved using Sony Update Service. While flashtool didn't recognise the flashmode (I don't know why, it has always been working) this software did.
Hi there i have rooted my phone with doomlord's latest rootkit for c6603 UK devices (you can tell im a noob), when installng and the opening he chainfire 3 app it asked me to install some graphics drivers and i did, it then restarted and then the loop restarted (turns off after sony logo, doesn't even get to xperia logo, then turns back on). I have tried several fastboot and flash methods but the problems still persists, does anyone know of any recovery or factory reset methods wihtout having access to your xz?
Thanks
1. Hold on boot volum up and power for 12 seconds i think.
Or
2. Charge the phone and see what's happening
Gesendet von meinem C6603 mit Tapatalk
charging it goes into a reboot loop then after a few times it displays battery meter...
ive tried flashing with flashtool but it comes up with "For flashtool, Unknown Sources and Debugging must be checked in phone settings", no idea how i gonna do that though, anyway to flash without this on? maybe fastboot?

I assumed you installed chainfire 3D app.
So, if you want to flash with flashtool, you must set your phone in flash mode.
Hold vol - when plugging the usb cable in (with phone powered off).
If you got the loop, plug the USB cable pressing vol - at the moment the phone is off.
And it may warn you about usb debugging, etc but just ignore it and continue anyway. Ive got back from bootloops with this regardless of unknown sources or debugging. Usually even when bootlooping the hard shutdown will work, hold power and volume up untill the phone vibrates three times and turns off. You may feel it vibrate once, ignore and keep holding.
You do need the correct adb drivers installed to use flashtool, the downloaf here at xda i believe includes them you just have to open the drivers folder, open the exe and choose your phone from the list. If you get into flashboot mode (when you hold volume up and plug it into the computer the led should flash once to let younknow its in the right state. Sometimes flashtool will take a long time to prepare the files for flashing amf your phone will start up... Let flashtool finish prepping, then it will come up with a screen telling you to put the phone in flashmode (usually giving the wrong instructions to do so, ignore them) if so, now go ahead and unplug your phone, power it down via the hard shutdown function i mentioned, then hold volume up and plug it back in. If you get the led flash its working, and if it wont then install its because your drivers arent installed properly.
Also i may be wrong, but the chainfire 3d drivers are for older versions of android, dont try to install them again. I did this on another phone that I had upgraded to jellybean and ot softbricked it. Jellybean runs ope GL fine on this phone.
Ive installed official frmware on my phone (through flashing) and now im about to root it again.
Thanks

I have kind of the same problem here, can you please tell me how you solved it?
Hello my name is Bob and this is my first thread, unfortunately its me asking for help so not really a great start.
Getting to the point however, i installed a 3rd party app which allowed me to change the font of my Sony Xperia Z1 after i did this and it reboot my phone it got stuck in a bootloop.
When i power up my phone i get the following occurences Sony Xperia start screen followed by POWERD BY android and it reboots the phone repeating the process.
My phone is ROOTED, my bootloader is LOCKED, i do not have RECOVERY.
C6903, stock rom
Things i can do with the phone;
Plug it in my laptop and have it show %charged
Plug it in my charger and have it show %charged
Go into fastboot*bluelight* by pressing the volume up button and plugging it into my laptop
Shut it down by pressing the power button + volume up
Go into bootloop by pressing the power button
Edit1: I do not care about wiping all date if necessary or possible!
Edit2: Flashtool, usb debugging off
Edit3: Currently using Sony PC Companion to force re-flash stock
Edit4: Finishing using Sony PC Companion software update, updated to version; 14.6.A.1.236-R2D, currently booting up phone*purple start screen*
Edit5: Phone is working, lost root
Any help would be much appreciated!
Well my opinion always when you root your phone install Recovery
Very important for something like this
*.Font Changer app don't work on Xperia Device (maybe because of Sony company)
If you wanna still want to change fonts there is thread about zip fonts to flash it on your device (it's working great)
And if you got bootloop again just flash rom Through flashtool no need to be USB Debugging on ( just enter flashMod and flash Rom)
And it's good to hear you solved the problem
hello,
have a c5303 xperia sp and im trying to re-flash the stock rom using flashtool64. the phone doesnt power on but if i hold vol up/down then plug the phone into my pc via usb the respective fastboot/flash mode led colour lights up and it pops up on my computer to confirm it. when i try flash the stock rom, is gives me a error about system.sin, since then i am not able to get into flash/fastboot modes on my phone. as this has happened before (the phone not going into fastboot) im pretty sure i can get it to flash without system.sin then use fastboot to do it after.
the screen is completely blank, not even a backlight. when the usb is plugged in without a mode, it is red on the phones led, when i unplug it and try to turn it on, the red led flashes and nothing happens.
thanks in advance!
fixed it nvm
