When you turn on Stamina mode, most of your notification LED will not work. Turn off Stamina and they will work again.
That's how it is made. Or just setup the low battery profile how you want it and then make the threshold level as 100%. Then you have a customized stamina mode
Err, the LED of message notification will not working if u turn on the stamina mode even in older firmware...
I dun see got any problem....

I think u misunderstand my previous post due to I din state properly, what I'm say is LED.....
See how Stamina Mode work:
http://developer.sonymobile.com/2013/04/03/how-sonys-battery-stamina-mode-works/
The LED will only indicate low battery only....
While other notification will work, just no LED blinking

Something did change for me however. When the phone rings, the screen wakes up so the LED flashes. But when I get an sms while in standby no LED flashes. On my previous firmware the LED did flash when receiving an sms in standby. Maybe a mistake on the older firmware but however was very useful.

Any ideas of what is up with my mates phone please?
Also when it is on charge the orange charging indicator comes on but not the screen?
He said it randomly shut off on mid text
Thanks
a drained battery. when the battery is dead on my phone, it displays the same behaviour (red led, vibrates once and doesn't power on).
the orange led is normal when charging. when charging from power-off state, screen will stay off till you turn it on.
tell your friend to fully change the battery

i'm not sure then. maybe a faulty battery? just a wild guess. has he tried a factory reset? is the phone rooted?

The phone isn't rooted, any idea of how to factory reset without being able to see the screen?
The phone works as normal, eg the volume rocker works and the turn on sound, and button lights, but not the screen? :s faulty screen connection maybe?

oops, hit the thanks button by accident
faulty screen sounds like a possibility. i don't know how you would be able to do anything if the screen is not working.

Waiting for firmware update.

I hardly belive it is fault of my unit.
I spoted it with original firmware and now ater unlock, root and revolution 2.2 (basicaly same firmware with modifications i like )
Actually i think Sony's devices get that issue. And that is because of the app is not compatible with the rom.
My solution: turn off the lock screen!

I don't think is the low battery mode, I don't have it turn on and it still have the problem, I think it is when the phone get some notifications or go to internet for data then the phone with get activated but it does not go back to total sleep mode.....
low battery mode for me. I've got it set at 15% and when it charged back to that amount the backlight turns on.
Just a glitch for me and a waiting firmware update.
Just install the latest version of firmware from SONY Update Service program
I have perform a hard reset and restore the app manually.
I have done a testing on the LED notification light (send sms to myself)
and discover the issue is still not solve completely.
If I switch off Stamina mode, the LED works well,
but once I switch on, it fails. (But it can work again if I turn off)

Firstly, wrong section to post. You should post in the Q&A section.
Secondly, there's nothing wrong with your phone. Notification LED does not work if Stamina mode is on.

First of all wrong section. And second, this is a known "feature". If u turn on stamina mode, the leds are turned of to save a bit battery
Hi!
I've noticed that if I TAP the power button of my device when it is turned off, it vibrates as if it has received a notification. I would like to know if it is normal.
When I flashed android pie I had some problems with the boot partitions that didn't allow my device to charge when turned off, that error was fixed by flashing again boot.
Is it possible that the vibration issue is an error of the boot?
I'm worried about the possibility of my device not really turning of (and probably wasting battery too).
Can someone check if his device also vibrates when TAPPING the power button when it is off?
Yes.. Mine also vibrate.. Need to hold for few seconds before device turn on.. I think that is normal..

It's a bug from Pie (Nov and Dec) I don't think it's anything serious.
Nothing is normal with that pie update...
