Hello all, I will be uploading Slimbean ROM nightlies.
If you come from other ROM, you need to wipe cache, dalvik and clean data.
If you come from Slimbean ROM 4.2.2 or older you need to wipe cache, dalvik and clean data.
If you come from Slimbeam ROM 4.3+/beta/alpha/whatever you don't need to wipe or clean data, you can just flash.
Slim-mako-4.3.build.beta.1.2-UNOFFICIAL-20130813-1535.zip (105.0 MB)
Download
Make sure you flash gapps as well
Slim_Gapps.4.3.build.beta.1.zip (42.5 MB)

I will try resolve any question!
I'm n-iCe on IRC, channel #Slimusers , this ROM has an application to connect.

There is already a thread for Slimbean http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2394076
What is exactly the purpose of this thread and how its different from the official one?

Nightlies.
Slim official does not provide nightlies, they provide stable releases or weeklies.
The OP will churn out whole new builds with fresh commits everyday.

I was wondering if it is possible to get a proper working rom if I were to take the gapps zip file from one rom and flash it with a different rom? Or are gapps rom specific and won't work with any other rom than it's intended rom?

Gapps are ROM specific for many custom roms, as the developer has tweaked it to be compatible with his rom. I dont think it if you flash Gapp of one ROM with any other ROM it will work.
What exactly do you have in mind.. Which Gapp & ROM do you need to flash?

Although I like flashing & experimenting, I have not tried doing this & I doubt it will work.

Well, go ahead and try it. The worst case scenario is you'll have to reflash PA.
Side note: I flashed Gapps for Nexus 7 on N7000 CM Rom and it worked. You never know if you don't try.
So far the flash is working good

for all of you noobs as I am.......
maybe this will help you not to loose too much time (I will edit and try and make this a guide as to how and what as I get the time)
1) CM 10 installation instructions for CM10 can be found in the following thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33470004&postcount=1
2) Harsh/Tonyp ICS rom has to be installed on the old bootloader aka CM7/GB
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1959545
to have this rom you need to be on CM10 (upgarade from CM7, any other GB based roms) you will need to do a clean install full wipe
+ all other CM10 based roms which means that you need to read the first post and if it says that it is based on CM10 then its not ICS and you need to be on the old bootloader..... (no need to NVFLASH or SMARTFLASH)
3)All other ICS 4.04 releases are for the new bootloader TG, opti, stefan, DM and so on (you need to nvflash or smartflash it)
which means you will loose all your data..... instructions in the following links.....
Django manouche by carburano http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2038631
TG by topogigi http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2007968
Flex Icer by Civato http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2038868
Opti ICS by Homero http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2003888
Ghostriders by Cojo http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2002083
+ all the other stock roms available
(I will add links to how to smartflash and/or NVflash)
4) Remember that CM10 is JB......... LG released ICS......... NOT THE SAME THING (compared to windows its like CM is W8 and ICS is W7 at least to me........)
5) read always the first 3 posts as they explain everything
6) Read tonyp BB thread from beginning to end as it explains everything relevant to BB (if you aint dumb)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658047
7)why the hell nobody made a shortlist like this b4 it would have saved me a lot of time and would not make me look like a fool.....
CM10 UNOFFICIAL FOR ICS UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER
please refer to this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35708946&postcount=1
as said above this version of CM is for the new unlocked bootloader follow the instructions in the post.....
and I reserve this one too

1.- There have been reports already at CM10 user thread
4.- CM10 is ICS, CM10.1 is JB.
5.- Couldn't agree more
7.- It's up to you how you look
Btw, there is this thread, altought with some more effort I'm sure this could turn into a useful post anyway.
I wish there was a "news" post that got updated daily so I could learn for example that recently a new CM10 version appeared on jenkins and the details about it without having to check a couple of the threads.
Anyway, keep it up.

to be fair, neither of them were compiled from first party JB sources. They both had to be cooked up from ICS-only sources. Quite amazing.

Fun facts FYI.
CM7 is based on GB (2.3.x) AOSP source (previous official version for P990)
CM9 is based on ICS (4.0.x) AOSP source (never compiled officially for P990)
CM10 is based on JB (4.1.x) AOSP source (current official version for P990)
CM10.1 is based on JB (4.2.x) AOSP source (hopefully will release someday(NOT asking for ETA!))
Cheers
mods - stick this thread up... great job Massimo
The Dec 11 build from jenkins is now on the official CM website. Holding off for now though.

I am wanting to install the CM10 nightly.. I am coming from temasek's CM7. I'm a little bit confused with point number 2. Is it saying you can't directly flash CM10 over CM7 in CWM even if you do a full wipe because CM7 does not use the "old" bootloader/partition layout?

Cm7 are old partition, just full wipe and flash Cm10.
thank you but why does point 2 say "Harsh/Tonyp ICS rom has to be installed on the old bootloader aka CM7/GB" then?

Because it does...... they made the rom to work with the old bootloader.
oh i get it now.. point 2 has nothing to do with going from cm7 to cm10
also I don't need to do anything with partition sizes going from cm7 to cm10 right?

no you dont but it might be good to have an extended system partition ........
You can use this tool to resize the partitions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020737
follow the instructions carefully + you will need the CM (which is a separate download) pack to be able to read the internal SD
Hmm confused here..
I am also on temasek cm7 - and would like to try cm10.
But what do I do - step by step please.. keep it simple if possible
I am used to flashing rom and kernel with cwm 5028, but I now absolutely nothing about bootloader, partition, NVFlash, smartflash....
Also what rom to get? I am not going for blitz fast top notch gung ho rom - just stable, as much working as possible. Cm10 nightly? Is the call bug history?
Thx in advance

These are my own personal builds of Carbon Rom that I have added Facebook contact sync to. I will make new builds when I feel like it, please be patient. All credit for this rom goes to Team Carbon and credit for Facebook sync goes to romanbb.
I did get permission from Team Carbon to share my unofficial build of their rom. DO NOT CONTACT TEAM CARBON IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MY ROM as it is an unofficial build. I will do my best to answer questions and solve problems that are posted in this thread. If you post feature requests, they will probably be ignored.
This is a Jelly Bean 4.3 rom, so make sure to use the appropriate gapps with it, I personally use the gapps mentioned on Cyanogenmod's page. Since this is a 4.3 rom, you will need to use the CM 10.2 apps.
If you are going to use a different kernel, make sure to get a JWR kernel.
Please backup your device before installing this rom and before installing updates. If you are coming from another rom, please wipe: system, Dalvik Cache, and Cache before installing. If you are installing an update you will only need to wipe the dalvik cace and the cache.
One last thing before, I'm not responsible for any harm that comes from installing this rom but I will try to help you out should things go wrong.

I'm using Shumash's Rom and always found that the latest is the best or better than the last one, I would assume that the same applies to Evervolv just read the last couple of pages in the Rom thread as glitches are spotted and reported /commented on quickly.
As to gapps the same applies just select the PA gapps that suits you best http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397942
Have fun.

It appears 4.3.1 is the version of Evervolv that has the most working..
Is there any app to put on to automatically shut down the system when battery reaches a certain level ?

Is this a continuation from the other one that was recently closed? I'm still running on that version with very few bugs and I still have the flash file for it. It's on 5.6.7. Would it be safe for me to dirty flash this one as an update? I wouldn't think there are differences other than an update

Is not a continuation of the another thread, I've build myself because I really liked the RR in victara. Dirty flash can do some unpredictable variables, but here I didn't notice any issues with it.
I've dirty flashed from other 5.6.7-20160409 build to this one, but I don't know if it can work always, so, if you want to try, here some tips:
- Complete Backup( including the /system)
- wipe cache/Dalwik
- Flash the ROM .Zip
- Flash the same GAPPS .Zip file.
Can sby can make Antutu Benchmark and/or Geekbench test ?
cant download.........reason-site is taking too long to load......

After a flash with twrp 3, a factory reset, gaaps, wipe cache/dalvik, I am having an issue with random reboots. Anyone else having this issue?
I've just flashed for 3 hours. So far so good. Not any reboot.

I have isolated it .. if I try and call or receive a call, the phone reboots.
I am going to wipe the phone and try again.
edit: ** looks like it might have been an issue with the ex-pro dialer I was using. I didn't load it this time around, use the stock dialer and calls are working fine **
Wow, thanks a lot OP for bringing victara back to life
