Stuck in Red/Orange Boot Screen - 7" Kindle Fire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I've root so many phones with no issues.. I don't know why rooting this kindle seems to be an issue for me.
I did manage to root it, I wanted to install CM Rom, and thought I had to install some boot loader I found on the forums. I didn't get to the poin where I uploaded the CM Rom to install yet. Now after it shows the KindleFire logo, it goes right into a red/orange screen.
I bought a fast boot cable, when I plug it in all I get it a screen that say's Fastboot and a image of a green and red traffic light with the green traffic light blinking. What do I need to do at this point?

Help Droid Bionic Bricked After trying to Fastboot!

Hello, I am a complete noob when it comes to flashing and stuff, all i know how to do is root, iv tried to look up solutions for this and nothing is working, so this morning i tried to look for a update for my stock ICS bionic, it found one! the jellybean update, i downloaded it and when it tried to install, it would give me software update unsuccessful, and it would reboot into my phone, everything working on ICS, i really wanted the update so i looked up what would cause, the prbem, and it seems i deleted some Motorola apps, im rooted so i used root uninstall to uninstall the apps. So anyway, i read that i had to flash the ICS update on my bionic again with rsd lite to make everything normal and i can update to jellybean, i tried to use rsd lite, and it said fail at 9/22, and now im stuck to the flash screen, when i reboot, or boot up, it goes to the flash screen, iv tried to go to recovery, it wont let me, iv tried everything, it wont let me, now my battery is low and i cant even try anything else, and i dont know if its charging or not, because its in the flash screen with the charger plugged in, help someone! Please!
I'll help you. You around?

Since you don't have an OS to tell your phone what to do it won't change your battery. So unless you know someone with a Bionic or have another way to charge that battery you'll have to do this. Take an oem cable and cut off the micro usb end.
2nd pic below
Then strip the red and black wires down. After that you need to line up the wires as they are in this picture. Get the red settled on the + and the black on the - then use the battery to lock them into place. Understand? After that you can plug it in and it'll (charge) power your phone through the fxz but you'll need another oem Moto cable to connect it to your comp for the fxz. Hope you have 2 and yes this is the only way.

Read #1 under troubleshooting in the tutorial thread. You were not on the 7.2.3 bootloader. I'm sorry I can't help much though since I don't know French

:/
Thank you anyway
But I want a little more specific : (
You need a fastboot cable to fix it. You just need to flash the boot loader to an older version but it requires a fastboot cable since you are stuck on a red screen.

I need to buy that? EarlyBirdSavings 3ft USB au câble USB Micro Factory pour Amazon Kindle Fire Motorola Xoom Téléphones
Here is my cable Amazon Kindle Fire 5ft USB to Micro-USB Cable (works with most Micro-USB Tablets)
In France I do not think it to fastboot cable
Fastboot cable is aftermarket cable to force kindle into fastboot, without this cable you are stuck

You need to by a fastboot cord or just buy a tip for your standard USB cord http://shop.teamblackhat.info/Factory-Adapters-motadapt.htm
Instructions to make a fastboot cord here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207122
Use this tool to restore to factory defaults using this tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1951254
While you are waiting for your cord to arrive, download the SDK package so you can run ADB and fastboot commands. Here is a video tutorial which you may not understand but it still has some some visual learning to it too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oaNM-lt_aHw
Keep in mind that a red screen is considered a hard brick and your tablet may not be normal again.

Some info before buying..

Amazon Italia is promoting his kindle fire hd 7 priced at € 99,00 so I'm interested in buying it.
But before I buy it I would ask you some questions..
1- Since I hate amazon os, will I be able to install 2nd bootloader mod (to install custom rom) on every os version? Because I read in this forum that latest os cause a bootloop.
2- When my tablet arrives, do you know which os version there is inside? And how can I avoid update to latest os?
3- Is this tablet fast and very usable with a cyanogenmod inside?
4 (last and stupid question)- is this the correct (moddable) tablet I should buy?:

The boot loop you referred to is only if you try to stay on the latest amazon os, but if that kindle is a kfhd, that looks like it's the 2013 model since I see no camera. If it's the 2012 model which I believe it is since there's a camera, then yes you can put custom ROMs on it. 2013 model we can't.

But can I chose not to stay on latest os? Is it possible to do a downgrade if I receive latest os before trying to put custom rom?
In the photo I published it has a front camera on left side as you can see.

Yes u can downgrade it. And my bad I noticed the camera after posting and I thought I corrected my post, but I was half asleep and I guess I didn't. That looks to be the 2012 model so yes fully rommable and yes you can downgrade the os.

HARD BRICKED Kindle Fire HD 7" 2012 - USB Boot Error Code -7

Hello
I have hardbricked my KFHD 7" by flashing a bootloader meant for the original Kindle Fire. No button responses, NOTHING. So I opened the back cover and tried the USB Boot shorting trick. This worked and it was recognized as OMAP44xx USB Device on my Linux PC.
I downloaded and compiled OMAP4boot from https://github.com/swetland/omap4boot and ran it as follows:
Code:
sudo ./usbboot aboot.bin
with the device unplugged. Once it reached this point:
Code:
waiting for OMAP44xx device...
I plugged it in, and this is what happens:
Code:
[email protected]:/home/ryan/Downloads/omap4-usbboot-precompiled/out/panda# ./usbboot aboot.bin

I'm not loosing sleep over this as I hardbricked this almost 2 years ago but thought it would be cool to revive it now
ANY help appreciated
And in case you were confused about which Kindle this is, this is all the info I could find:
Kindle Fire HD 7" 2012
Device codename: "tate"
Thanks in advance

HELP !!!
Any update on this? I have a kindle tate-pvt-08 with the same problem. I had read on a different thread that the shorting trick would only work for the kindle fire hd 1st gen, and not this device. Apparently the OP has been able to atleast get the device detected as the omap device? Is this really possible? Or do I now have a paperweight?

It's is detected but no luck. You will need a Linux machine to attempt anything further.

"Apply update from ADB" not showing in recovery

I'm trying to install an old version of Fire OS so I can root my 7th gen Fire, however "apply update from ADB" is not showing at all.
I don't know if its the version number (5.6.9.0) or if its an issue with the tablet.

Amazon removed the "Apply update from ADB" from the stock recovery to prevent people from downgrading their devices.
