I'm trying to install an old version of Fire OS so I can root my 7th gen Fire, however "apply update from ADB" is not showing at all.
I don't know if its the version number (5.6.9.0) or if its an issue with the tablet.

Amazon removed the "Apply update from ADB" from the stock recovery to prevent people from downgrading their devices.

Hey all, got a Kindle FireHD, can't get ADB to install correctly.
I'm on Win8 Pro. I booted Win8 into Test Mode, installed the Kindle ADB, and then got the error below:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Can anyone please help me? I even installed it by clicking "Run as Admin", and still the same.
Edit: And the Kindle doesn't show up in My Computer. It did, until I messed with the ADB drivers, and now I can't access it's internal memory from My Computer.
And I get the below info when I go into device mgmt.

Yes basically it has the full Windows 7 experience, but then you can switch to another menu which is the "Metro". But yes it shows in device manager as Kindle ADB.

Stupid question but did you try to run adb in the cmd line.. If not try and see if any devices are listed. Try stopping server, starting server, then type adb devices. If there is a device listed than your in business. It seems to me like its working since its listed in the device manager, although I do not have experience with windows 8 and I have heard that it has a lot of bugs with these drivers..:good:

Complete guide for installing the adb drivers for Win 8.
Hey!
I am not being able to install TWRP since I returned to my Rom stock.
My device is xt1064 (bought in florida)
Does anyone know any solution?
Methods I tried:
1)by doing it via fastboot: This message appears when I do it

2)Via android: I tried to root my phone and later install it via the official application. unfortunately I don't know any application to root in marshmallow, so I installed stock android kit kat, I rooted my phone and later installed twrp on the application.
the problem was that I was unable to flash things, or basicly I wasn't able to do anything with it because everything failed.
I installed marshmallow again, because twrp failed after I deleted everything.
Does Anyone know a solution?
I apologize for my bad grammar. I am 15 years old and I am from Argentina.
Greetings.

Hey guys,
by trying to update my XT1068 via settings -> system -> about -> update manager with a later android version there occured an error and phone started in twrp. My bootloader is unlocked. My phone runs with android 6.0. The update version I used was Blur_Version.24.41.34.titan_retde.retdeall.en.DE. I've already tried to use other twrp versions as 2.8.6, 3.0.0 and the latest 3.1.1, same error. The error says:
"Updater process ended with ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file '/cache/Blur_Version.24.41.34.titan_retde.retdeall.en.DE.zip'
Done processing zip file
MTP enabled"
What to do next? Thanks for helping

You should never try to update the stock rom while running a custom recovery..
You can try re-flashing the stock firmware from scratch using the easy installers

There seems to be some sort of update for my LG G4 H811 (T-Mobile). I'm already on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, so what could this be? I can't update due to having TWRP installed, so I was hoping to find this update on the web somewhere. I checked T-Mobile's site and the highest they have listed is 6.0.1 from last year. Any idea where I can find this update?

Any idea if a flashable zip exists?
Or any way to go back to stock recovery? I'm currently using H811V20r_00_0111.kdz w/ TWRP.
EDIT
I found the stock recovery for the H815. Do you think it'll work on my H811?

To be honest no clue as I have never went stock recovery
It won't update because you probably have unlocked bootloader in addition to not having stock recovery. One option to update that worked for me (albeit you loose all data on phone as it resets when you relock bootloader, but that will probably happen anyways if you could update) was to go into fastboot menu, lock the bootloader, then turn off phone by removing battery (saves a lot of time by skipping the unnecessary rebooting), reinsert battery, put phone in download mode by holding vol up button as you plug usb cable that is connected to your computer. At this point, you can use LG Bridge 'update error recovery' option to get the latest stock rom and recovery reinstalled on your phone. Before you do all this, do realize that LG and T-MOBILE stopped updating or supporting this phone long ago and security updates only go up to April of 2017, so doing all this for an incremental update may not be even worth it.
I just installed the emui 9.1 update on my phone but after restarting I'm being notified of the update again. This happens around 5 minutes after restarting following the update being installed. When I install the update again, it "installs" in about 20 seconds before saying the update was successful and reboots. I have tried the installation 3 times now, but I have just set the installation to "later" so I dont get bothered by it again today.
Is there anything I can do to stop this happening?

All very well, but then I won't get notifications about future updates.
It didn't work anyway. I'm still being asked to install the update.
After a bit more investigation, it seems the original update may have been corrupted as I'm getting a message that system files or pre-installed software may have been altered or deleted and that the official update needs to be installed. Except it was the official update. Hisuite doesn't have the option to rollback the software to the previous version. So what can I do to put this right?

Yeah, but I didn't install any of those. I installed the official version through Hisuite.

Thanks but I just get "getting package info failed" when I try that.
Finally sorted. Connected to hisuite again and this time another firmware version (311) was available. So I installed that and when I rebooted there was another 4.7mb patch needed installed. I installed that and everything is back to normal now.
This happens when you install an incorrect firmware version on your phone. The firmware file names may be the same but they are not the same versions.
