For two days, the three bottom capacitive buttons do not respond, or if you respond, respond very slowly and the right not to respond at all.
* What could be the cause, the phone runs stock ROM, v20, the phone is root and unlocked

Recovery, wipe cache and see if that helps.

I tried this, I did hard reset and even after hard reset buttons no longer wanted to work at all.
* I'll try to install ICS, and after his return and in v20, but tonight, because I sold it, replace HTC's coming One.
* But I'll try, and come back, maybe they will come back, and will operate the buttons.
** There is another reason, here is very wet this time of year, and I noticed the phone a few days ago without any pressure, just touching the volume or back cover, vibrate and take orders without doing you something, this ptr for 2 hours, I checked the temperature, I gave restart but continued to do so around 2-3 hours, and then recovering
You should go to the service center of your place. They will fix.I got a couple of days ago with custom cm10.1 and they didnt tell me anything

I would try re-flashing the ROM, or possibly restoring a previous nandroid.
How long has this been happening for? Any more info on how it might have happened? Did you mess around with any XIM.apk or keyboard layouts?
i tried to wipe it and everytime i have to press the home button the phone shuts off. and no i didnt mess with anything my g.f had the phone in her purse the whole day and when i when to use it it was doing this. itjust started to do like 2 days ago. if i was to hold any of the buttons i said before that are giving me problems the backlights of the buttons go crazy and blink its crazy.

True, that's weird, I would try to wipe/re-flash with ADB then... there is a guide for setting up and using ADB here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=532719
Good luck!
thanks dude ill give it a shot
Err guys, this sounds more like a hardware problem then a software problem, no matter how many times you wipe it will remain like that. Try the "how to remap any key on your G1 thread" here.
Maybe water seeped into the hardware? Wiping through adb does the exact same thing as wiping through terminal, terminal is just more convenient that's why it was put in recovery.
No matter what you do software wise you probably won't be able to fix the keys. Since this just happened while it was in your girlfriend's purse it couldn't have done anything really by itself.

Exactly what I was thinking..
It sounds like moisture or even dust has gotten into the keyboard and shorted out a track. I believe the keyboard and front buttons are all linked together and the keyboard would be the easiest place for a short to occur.
Open it up and give it a good cleaning.
so i wiped the phone and not it wont boot all the way so i said what the hell ill load a different rom so i did that and now my buttons are working fine so far.
Thanks everyone for the help
I woke up this morning, and when I press the (Power/lock) button, it didn't wake up the phone, after several intents I managed to unlock it by pressing it many times. What could be the problem?

It might be just the Rom! I noticed that OB roms has this lag before the screen wakes up. Or maybe it's a hardware malfunction. in any way you can remap your G-button as Power/lock!! And I recommend you doing it ASAP if you don't use the G/button, as if ever your power button REALLY stops to work, how will you lock/unlock it!?
I had this issue too.
While pressing hard in the screen, where the LG logo is at, made the button work.
I opened the phone, the flex connector was weak and didnt make good contact, but seemed ok... LG quality sucks.
I fixed it by tapping a bit of tape over the connector, so when closing the phone it makes some force over it.
I recommend thinking twice before buying LG again. My phone also dropped from a chair (half meter) and the camera broke up.
I also fixed it with a replacement...but...Life's Good
Help on this, please! My phone screen just stops responding from yesterday, It works for a millisecond when I unlock it but then it freezes and it doesn't respond until I lock it again and unlock it.....But it works when I leave the Spen (Stylus whatever) on it, I mean while the little circle that tells you that the pen is on the screen is been shown, at the second that I retire it from pointing the screen, it freezes again until I lock screen again.....
I tried a factory reset, tried a flash with odin, nothing worked. Any help?
I have a similar issue, my screen does not recognize my fingers but works well with the s-pen, are you in a custom nougat ROM? When I was in marshmallow I was able to fix it just by holding power+volume down for 10secs and then choosing restart, however now in nougat has been like 2 weeks and I haven't been able to fix it

Hi! No, I'm on nougat official rom. It auto update itself like two months ago, but the strange thing is that the problem came out two days ago, and there's no harm, my phone didn't fall. Anyway, I'm taking it to the SAT next week, I'll come back with an answer if it's a hardware issue.
My Note 5 Touch Screen Is Unresponsive To Fingers it only respond to S Pen. I tried several restarts but nothing.
Please help!
I have the same problem .. unfortunately I was unable to fix it... so I changed my Note 5 for a Xiaomi mi5. It happened twice and the second time there was no coming back, the first time I was on MM and the second in Nougat custom. What you can do is to hold the power button and volume down button at the same time for 10 - 20 seconds then selecting power down It worked for me the first time, hope it works for you. This can also happen for water damage. Good luck!

Same thing happened to me after my Note 5 got wet by rain. It works only with the S pen. I tried to power down holding volume down and power button for 15-20 seconds and nothing. Another thread said factory reset and I tried that and still nothing. I'm sad because I love this phone and was working great until this.

Everytimw you shutdown the the phone or the screen is timed out the digitizer turns off instantly so whenever next you turn on the phone the digitizer gets turned on as well as recallibrate itself if the digitizer was always on then we could have native double tap to wake!
resolvieron?

Recently, I've noticed that my phone's screen completely blacks out while the phone is still working. So, if you plug in your charger, it'll play that charger connect notification sound if you use the fingerprint, it'll unlock the phone but nothing comes up on the screen. It'd be completely blacked out. This has happened to to me twice and has me got worried now. No matter for how long you hold the power button, nothing happens. Right now, it seems that the phone corrects the default by itself after leaving it aside for a good 10-15 minutes. Has anyone of you faced this?
Yep, unfortunately happens, though rarely . Mentioned in few other threads.
Happened to me thrice. Yesterday was the last go. You can reboot with Vol up + power.
It's an annoying bug, I'll admit that.
For me the same, two or three times last two weeks, I think some bug in Pie, because before there was nothing like thies

Have had this phone since its release date here in UK (TA-1055) and have not experienced black screen or any other bug, except the non-appearance of Pie which has still not Ben released in UK OTA.

Experienced it thrice. The first time I experienced it was last August (Android 8.1 Oreo), then October and today. I didn't think this was the new Android 9 Pie's fault as I experienced it when my phone was on Android 8.1 Oreo. Also one thing I noticed is that even if the screen is not showing up, the touch controls are still active. So I managed to restart it normally my phone by press hold the power for a second and feel the default location of the restart.

Mine would just not restart. Or maybe I was touching the wrong portion of the screen... Afterall, it was all blacked out
Same, holding the power button vibrates the phone and touching the screen does make it vibrate sometimes, but Vol up + power does not do anything. Screen is still black.

It happened to me last month for the very first time and hopefully will never again in future!
I can't recall if I was pressing the right key combination but for several times it would just vibrate and then nothing. I had to call customer care from my secondary device to check what can be done who were pathetic to tell me to take it to the nearest service center. Then, I eventually tried the Power button + volume up and then it rebooted and went back to normal.
I was so shook with this incident, I hope it never happens to anyone. I've been using this device since 7 months now and it never happened to me when on Oreo. This device is getting more and more pathetic with each new update!
Hi,
sorry for necromancing the thread. It happened to me today too, for the first time. If anyone else stumbles upon this thread, then this is absolutely easiest solution:
1, Hold down power button until it vibrates
2, The screen is black, but the touchscreen still works. The easiest one to touch is the power off button, because it is right next to the power button So simply tap on the display right next to your power button after you feel the vibration, and you will tap the power off button. Wait a few seconds, then hold power button again to turn the phone on again.
Same happens to me. I hold down the power button until it vibrates, release, take a deep breath, tap button again and it is back.
Happened to me as well ?
Hi,
I just bought this smartphone nokia 7 plus TA-1046 4G/64G dual sim. I could parameter it and after only 2 hours of use: total black-out! I could still feel vibrating keys despite the black screen. I ve been able to force the restart by pression power button + sound level up, but the screen remained desperately black. I tried to charge it well for 1 hour, same ****. Surprisingly, I removed the sim card and the SD card and It restarted normally.
Pretty scary! Will it happen again? What was the pb? A SD card conflict? Shall I format the SD card maybe? Or buy a top quality SD card? A sim card conflict? Shall I keep the phone or send it back to the shop?
Did anyone narrow down a potential SD card cause as well for this kind of glitch?
Thanks.
Arn
Happened to me also couple of times.
One time happened just before I wanted to show off my phone to my friend. I had to keep my phone in my pocket for like 10-15 minutes, lol, I was embarrassed because I praised this phone, and praised Android One, because he was considering this phone to buy, for at the end he went with the P20 Lite.
F***you HMD
Re happened again
Just 1 hour ago my nokia 7 plus re black out again! Had to wait 1 hour to re start it. Then, it worked 5 mins and black screen again. That s enough => I ll ask for a product return and refund.
Btw: i don't have blackout problem using daily N7p for 10months...
Have you guys tried formatting the phone ? I had clearing cache issues when I set font size and screen size small. It will clear the cache very slowly and eventually it will struck. But it was solved after I tried default font size and display size. Looks like every model got its own issues.
