my company just moved there email system from good to airwatch, the problem is airwatch started detecting as my phone as rooted ( which was  ).... So I booted in stocked recovery did a factory reset and re-flashed a stock ROM using ODIN.
The problem is Airwatch still identifies the phone as "rooted /compromised" any idea how to completely unroot it or really reset to default
thankx
Flash a 3 part gb rom. Before flashing do a wipe of cache and data from recovery. Flash with pc odin, then do full wipe from recovery of gb, should clear any traces.

follow the instructions of SpyderTracks only instead of install you can also install jb gb, it is important to do all the wipe format and send it in download mode directly from recovery

I have tried Google... I am drawing a blank.
Can somebody point me to official 3 part N7000 ROM for StarHub- Singapore.
All the rom I am getting are single file.
There is no need for that rom. Just boot into a Cwm recovery. (if you have already Un rooted then install Philz kernel.) . Format the system, data, cache and preload partitions and then choose reboot download. Then flash a stock rom again.

Airwatch still is pain in back side....
use different email app to connect that support airwatch, whatever that is.
Or hack airwatch app if that exists to not check
Or dont allow it root...

You could also try ota rootkeeper from the playstore to temporarily disable root.

Hi,
I am using XXLSA-UNP right now. Can i use PhilZ-cwm6-XXLSC-XJB or will i have to use PhilZ-cwm6-XXLSC-XJB-v3.99...i know that only LS should matter but just making sure if XXLSC would work or not?

What does this mean.? Both are the same. Yes you can use lsc kernel on lsa rom as well.
will i again have to do factory reset and wipe cache and all...also when ever i try to move any app using TBP to external memory and after that when i restart my phone that app gets uninstalled and have to reinstall them...is there something that could be done to avoid this?
Changing kernel does not need any kind of wipe. Apps. Moved to sd removes its icon from the home screen. This was a bug in some ics versions, and it's in JB too. So this may be resolved in the official JB

so there is no fix till the time official JB is out? i mean someone might have tried to create a fix for this or not?
It only happens on apps that you force using tbp. The ones that give the option to be moved to sd in applications Works fine.

Well if there is no (removable) extSdCard then it stands to reason that recovery will report an error when it looks for it. Yellow triangle will occur when flashing any custom kernel with PC Odin and can be removed with Triangle Away app.
JB leaks sometimes get stuck on reboot. Try installing a custom LSC version and use recovery to install zip from (non removable) internal SD card.

In your last post you said reset system, data, cache. Does that mean format? If that's th case there is no rom on the phone to boot. You need to install a custom rom using recovery or stock rom using the download mode.
I missed the "system" part this time.

Ok first off, I am pretty green newbie, please help me understand this stuff.
This is my girlfriend's phone, she was using it and it reset itself and now it seems to be stuck in a boot loop.
We'd like to try and recover the original system back to normal without having to use the built in system reset. I've heard I can do that by wiping the dalvk cache?
It is not rooted, and I'm driving myself crazy trying to figure it out. There's ways to root it but I can't get into the system to run things like zergrush or the other options.
I tried to flash clockwork mod, but since the built in recovery tool only sees the INTERNAL SD contents, I only have access to the EXTERNAL SD card to put ZIPs in. I tried to use ADB to push the zip onto the internal SD Card but it says access denied (because it's unrooted?) Now what?
So short of system resetting it and loosing all the system settings or trying to see if we can send it into samsung for a replacement, how do I do this?
Thank you for any help in advance. Please be gentle.
Put cwm on the phone via Odin, on a question asked yesterday almost exact problem I posted a link with instructions how to do this, MAKE SURE it is a t679 not t759! Otherwise you will brick your device
Sent from my SGH-T679 using xda app-developers app
Unrooted, your only real options are factory reset or use Odin.
Sent from my SGH-T679 using xda app-developers app
That is not true, if he gets cwm on it via Odin he can flash to stock through cwm, doing so would bring the phone back to out of the box condition with 2.3.6. Also it will save ALOT of time doing cwm through Odin rather than return to stock via odin
Sent from my SGH-T679 using xda app-developers app
It is a T679, yes.
OK according to the wiki page for the phone, I see how to use Odin to bring the phone back to stock, which is great, but I just want to be able to root it to wipe the dalvik cache in hopes of stopping the boot loop. Hopefully this would get the phone working like normal again without deleting the old system, right?
With the Odin program, how would I use it to force the CWM.zip to root it and give me access to the recovery menu to wipe the cache? Or am I missing something?
Again, sorry for not quite getting this stuff. Thank you for helping.

My bad, I forgot there was a cwm for Odin on this phone. I got mine after the 2.3.6 update and you could flash it thru stock recovery. Plus I've only used Odin once and that was to root my Gtab 2.
Sent from my GT-P3113 using xda app-developers app
OK thank you guys, using Odin did manage to get CWM recovery pushed into the phone.
The current problem is that wiping cache/dalvik is not fixing the boot looping.
I tried wiping battery stats, fixing permissions, wiping cache/dalvik, etc. and while it does cause the phone to sit on the "SAMSUNG" opening for about 2 mins, it still bootloops after that.
now, because I want to try and somehow preserve the old stock system (she has a lot of settings and programs that she needs to get access to) I can't just wipe everything and start over fresh.
Now, again, I am a newbie, but if I'm not mistaken, can I do a nandbackup onto the external SD card and this will allow me to just wipe to original stock, get it fully working again, then do an ADVANCED RESTORE of only the /system to get it back to the way it was before?
Again thanks for the help (and putting up with newbies) :3

If you go back to stock and then advanced restore system you will probably be right back where you are now. Do another backup before trying that.
P.S. Make sure you have a way to keep track of the backups. Write it down or something.

I used custom rom before and then wanted to reset flash counter using Triangle Away. I installed stock rom, used custom kernel, then triangle away and then flashed stock rom again.
All went fine and flash counter is showing "NO" and firmware is Samsung Official but sometimes randomly System Status in download mode and in Android settings shows Custom. Then if i reboot it shows Normal. Why is this happening and what should I do to make it always show Normal?

Try to root your phone, download another firmware, and flash it with Mobile Odin Pro.
Triangle Away is include inside Mobile Odin flashing, should solve your problem even if didn't work when you did it.
FACTORY RESET settings/backup and reset/Factory data reset will work, no need to flash or root. keep in mind this will wipe your internal storage and you will need to download and reinstall all of your applications

It seems someone else has had a similar problem with i9300: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1986907

Okay have you tried to use Kies? That is the official way to update your phone. Either Kies or ota. Try this. Use kies upgrade and initialization. If it says your ROM is not supported restart kies and put your phone in download mode before connecting it to PC. Enter serial no and model number into kies.then while phone is in download mode . connect it to PC. This should begin the upgrade process. After it finishes, factory reset phone. Let me know if that doesn't work

Okay, I tried wipe data/cache, flashing older stock rom, cf-autoroot, triangle away, then flashing newer stock rom using KIES and wipe data/cache again. Still same problem, sometimes system status is Modified and sometimes Normal. This is so weird problem...
First flash with kies and do a factory reset after. You should not be rooted after using kies. Do not restore applications from any previous backup. Only install applications manually. Do not restore data either .start fresh. wipe external sd card. Do not freeze or uninstall any system applications. I recently uninstalled "chat on" and got a system modified status that only went away after reflashing my rom. Dont sideload apps . Dont check off unknown sources under security. If that doesnt work I really don't know any thing else.stock rom kernel firmware apps all from playstore no root apps.

I found another thread where someone has had same kind of problem and he had not done ANY modifications to the phone: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2022690
It still said Custom on System Status. I'm starting to believe that there is something wrong with Android that makes System Status randomly show Custom even if no modifications has been done.
i read the link you posted. i would try to either wipe the sd card or remove it just to eliminate that being the issue. also i would suggest you make sure unknown sources is not ticked. and most importantly that you do not batch restore apps. especially app data. one question i have is do you encrypt your file system? for security? and is your rom carrier branded. I know all of the instrucions and questions seem like a tall order but this is how to troubleshoot by process of elimination what is causing the custom status. i hope you get this worked out...
I really appreciate your help ashraf sharif. I just wouldn't like to install all my apps again (did it few times already). I googled the issue more and some people believe Modified status is related to External SD card somehow:
https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=41540
http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-note-2-rooting-roms-hacks/277639-factory-reset-device-status-modfied.html
So i might give up with this issue. It sometimes says Normal and occasionally Modified but the good thing is the phone is working fine
I Titanium Back up and when mine shows as modified I use it to clear the cache then reboot and it reverts to normal.
The OP prefers to not be rooted so tb wont work. Myself am rooted and always have normal status.

I used Custom roms before but wanted to flash everything back to Stock and Official. I flashed Stock rom and then Custom kernel so i could use Triangle Away to reset the Custom flash counter in Download Mode. Then after using Triangle Away i flashed Stock Rom. So my intention was to make everything on the phone Stock/Official again.
Does your phone say modified when you take out the external sd card? You can simply unmount it shut down the phone and then remove it just to make see if maybe that is the issue. If it is whats causing the modified status then just backup whatever files you want to keep. And then format the card. You should be good to go

Hi everyone!
I'm still a newbie arround here, so i will have to tell you all the steps i did until i got the problem.
So i did the following: I have stock rom (4.0.4) and BaseBand, i've rooted the phone using NVFlash method (using All-in-One Toolkit by SpyrosK) and i've replaced the Stock ICS BootLoader also using the AIO Toolkit. The phone was working great and all but after some weeks it started getting slow and i though about doing a factory recovery. So I tried the backup normally. Went to the menu then settings> backup and reset> factory data reset. After the reboot the normal LG logo showed and then the following: "Unfortunatly, the process com.android.phone has stopped" and behind this text box it has: "Encryptation unsuccessful
Encryptation was interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible. To resume using your phone, you must perform a factory reset[...]" and it has a reset phone button but i can't acess it because the text window is on top.
After I got this I tough about giving a try to CWM(v6.0.2.5) recovery. So i tried the following: wipe cache partition, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache and fix permissions and tried the reboot but the same problem still persists...
Can anyone help me? This doesn't seem like a brick to me and it was supposed to be a factory reset but isn't correctly working. What can I do to fix this?
Tell me if you have any question or if you need a picture of the screen i get when i boot the phone. Than you very much.
Edit: Already tried to change my recovery image, still have the same problem...Was thinking in installing the stock rom again via CWM. Is it a good ideia? Will it fix?
In CWM there is a factory reset too (something like wipe data/factory reset). That should do the trick (but I'm afraid you'll have to set up from scratch again). Otherwise you'll have to wipe everything (including format /system) and flash the ROM again...

I am sorry to hear. Why don't you try flashing another ROM, just to test? For example pengus' CM10 equivalent http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2058231? It is very stable. Remember to update to last Kowalski kernel (by flashing after flash of ROM). May I suggest M1 norh (without ram hack)...
PS You need to be on new bootloader - see instructions in thread. If you have problems with the CM10 camera, you can flash CM10v3 by feav http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2163473

I had wiped all necessary things like cache etc via Philz and flashed via Odin (Pc).
Everything ran smooth till today suddenly phone got stuck on Logo.
Tried removing the battery for 1hr. and still the same.
I can enter Recovery - Plz assist why this thing have happened and how it can solved ?
PS: Phone ran perfectly till now and its been 15days since reinstalled my OS.
