Hi!
I've a Xperia T with XperimenT rom, vKernel, open bootloader, and so... Everything in my device was absolutely normal, but two days ago, when I shuted it down at night, I pluged the power cable, but when it began to boot the screen kept with "Sony", and nothing happened. The "charging battery" never appeared. So, I decided to have a force reset (volume up+power) and try to run without the power cable... The device kept in "Sony" and nothing happened as well. Again, force reset and enter to TWRP... I got amazed when noticed that the system partition was CLEAR. So, I restored the system partition with a previous backup, reset, and the phone worked propperly.
But here is my problem. When I reset the Xperia, it clears the system partition again, so that the only solution is restore it again. It's a loop. When shut down, recovery, restore and reset...
I've tried down to wipe batt stats to dismiss wheter it'd be a battery problem, it has not worked.
Any idea to avoid this annoying problem?
Thanks a lot!! :good:

Thank you very much for your reply! :good:
I've found a step-by-step showing how to repair the Xperia via PC Companion. I post it only if there's someone who need it.
I'm trying this when the phone reaches a full charge (due to the battery stats wipe).
There is no need to post a guide, run pccompanion and follow the instructions....
Its not hard

D'oh! I'm sorry, i've posted it just because I did not figured out how to repair it.
I've to say that finally it did work!
Thanks Greg Bradley

I haven't rooted my phone whatsoever or installed a rom or something. One day, it just won't boot. I don't use it all the time, so the battery died. I charged it so I could use it and download an app. When I try to power it on, it will only reach the flashing Samsung logo with the black background and won't go any further so I result to opening the back cover the remove the battery and try turning it on again. Still won't boot. I tried draining the battery, but it still won't boot. Would booting it without the SD card solve this problem? I heard that if I did that, I would have to factory reset it using the hardware keys. I don't want to erase everything in the phone since I'm not able to back it up. Please help. Thanks!

You can try to boot it without SD card, but i don't think that's the problem.
I think your only possible solution is to try doing a factory reset. Try to press HOME button and POWER button together until you get to the recovery. Than, depending on the recovery you have, search for a "wipe cache/data" or "data reset".
Another solution might be using Odin, but that's the last one...

It did work. I thought of doing that but I waited for my friend so I could consult for another way, but I resorted to a hard reset. Thanks!
sorry for you, you can't get your data back
but to solve this
you can try to wipe everything through recovery mode
(while turn of, home button + power)
if you still can't access recovery mode or still the same after wiping
you must flash your mini

for later, backup your data app by using Titanium Backup
must root
I updated my Sony Xperia T to 4.1.2 a few hours ago via PC Companion 2.1. Everything was good until I restarted my phone and it got stuck in the screen with white triangle and blue bar (after the Sony logo). I waited but nothing happens.
I've tried to force restart using power button + volume up (switching off using the power button alone doesn't respond) several times but it still get stuck in the same screen. I was able to repair it using PC companion and SEUS (both were successful) but when I turned on the phone the problem still persists. Restarted several times but to no avail. I cannot use my phone right now.
What seems to be the problem?
My phone is less than a week old, unlocked, stock and not rooted. I will try to flash 4.0.4 back using flashtool coz it was working fine before the JB update.

I have read that this process can take some time, flash a rom and give it at least upto 45 minutes, if it is still not working maybe you have a more serious problem.

Re: [Q] HELP! Xperia T does not boot after JB update
I had this before, when going from 303 to 195.
Flash back the exact last full firmware you had prior to jb, if it was custom use the ftf the Rom is based on, it should boot, reset, then do the update again.
It took 35 mins to complete, I thought it was dead, once you get that screen, do not interrupt it or it can't complete and you need to start again.

OK, I was able to fix it and replicate it once but there's no certainty that it will not happen again once I restart the phone.
Here's what I did...
Since .233 did not work, I tried flashing the older firmware which is .303 - It worked!
I tried flashing .233 again to test if it has something to do with the firmware but it flashed without any problems!
I checked with PC companion to update to 4.1.2 but no update is available (since I used the UK firmware) so I flashed using the ftf file (.489) found here - it successfully flashed to 4.1.2!
HOWEVER, when the phone restarted (after inserting the sim card) and that's when the problem happened again! It stuck on the same screen. That's how I first encountered the problem earlier - the first reboot after updating caused for the phone to get stuck to that screen with white triangle and blue bar.
So I repeated the same process again (flashed .303 but skipped .233) then flashed .489 successfully but I DECIDED NOT TO RESTART THE PHONE this time. I'm not an expert so I don't know what's the cause of this??
My phone is working fine right now. Probably I will try to reboot the phone after 3 days to see if the issue comes back again.

Did the problem occur right after you updated? Or when you rebooted the phone for the first time after the update?
Mine was ok whether I updated via PC Companion or flashtool - the problem only happened when I restarted the phone for the first time after the update. So I tried not to reboot the phone on my third attempt. It's working fine now on 4.1.2. (as long as i don't restart it probably).
You can try the process I explained above and let us know!

When more accurate to format the internal card?
Give me step by step if you think you know the cause of the problem.

Fix to get JB Running
I had the exact same problem, a white triangle after flashing the JB update.
Here's how I solved it:
1. Flash a .303 stock firmware
2. Turn on your phone without Sim card and without MicroSD
3. Complete the Setup Guide (just pass the 7 steps).
4. Get Ready to flash the JB update (.489 I think)
5. EXCLUDE BASEBAND BEFORE FLASHING IT
6. It should work now (is working perfectly on my Xperia T since yesterday)
If this helps you, hit the thanks button, I'm trying to build a reputation here

I mentioned in my process above that I will wait for 3 days before restarting the phone but I did it anyway to test your process. It didn't work for me.
I followed ALL the steps but after the phone restarted (when sim card was inserted) it got stuck on the same screen again. Have you tried rebooting your phone?
Looks like I'm gonna stay with .233 for now until this gets resolved.

How do we do that in JB?
I noticed that after I flashed the .303 firmware the phone asks that internal storage be formatted (there's a notification in the notification bar). So I did that. But after updating to 4.1.2 the problem repeats again after the first reboot (stuck in the screen with white triangle).
Sounds like my problem has been solved. :good:
I repeated the process by Samper27 (except that I didn't remove the sim card; I don't have an sd card).
After updating to 4.1.2 I cleared the internal storage via the settings and performed a factory data reset - my phone restarted without any problems. I could switch it on and off now without getting stuck in that screen.
Great!

Glad to hear that! I don't know the change with the SIM Card, for my it worked like that and I have turned off and on several times. After doing that I lost my APN configuration but a quick google search and BAM, everything working smooth and battery life is a little better than before.
You should update the post to let everyone know that the problem is solved

I have the same problem with this white triangle. The only firmware where the phone starts is .303. All other firmware doesn' start anymore.
I tried the process by Samper27, but it doesn't work for me. Could you please tell me which firmware of .303 and JB 4.1.2 you used? And what do you mean with factory data reset (Hold down the power button and volume up for 10 sec?)
Thanks
Even I gotta same problem. But my phone's screen is now blank, no LED no warning Triangles
Hello, ive had my Xperia Z a few weeks now, it has a locked bootloader which has never been unlocked, i rooted my device, flashed CWM, backed up my existing rom and then installed a new one, but i lost all my contact/system info so i restored my previous backup. It said restoring, then 'Failed to Mount /System.' I rebooted device, it just hangs on the Sony logo. The first time this happened i used the Update Service program to reinstall software and factory reset the phone fine, but now it says the battery is below 50% and it will not proceed.
When i plug the phone into the charger, the red light stays on, (Doesnt change colour) and it just hangs on the Sony logo, i cant access recovery menu either.. Anyone have any advice for me ?
Cheers
Switch it off and leave it charging for an hour or 2 then try the update service again

Help please. It happened to me too.
I upgrade my firware to .67, root, dual recovery, no problem. but the problem happens when i followed this thread for deodex http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2458411
"Copy the rom to your microSD
Backup any important data to your microSD
Boot into recovery and do a nandroid backup first
If you have CWM: select Wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache, go into 'mounts and storage' and select Format /system, then /data, then /cache"
Then i tried to reboot recovery, but i choose "**Back** , then it reboot and have a red LED light with a Sony logo. It just stays there, what should i do? Please help...
I would have never thought that I could brick my device without... doing something wrong. Here I come, completely helpless at this point.
Earlied today the phone had worked just fine until I turned 3G on, it wouldn't actually turn it on. I tried Aeroplane mode which didn't help, so I held power button and chose to reboot. This is when the problem starts. The phone booted itself successfully through its logo, then Devilkernel logo, and lastly showed the GamerzROM logo (which is actually the Nexus logo) and kept showing this flashing logo forever. Even after 30 minutes.
CWM works just fine.
I noticed that while booting it makes a single loop (Samsung logo -> Devil logo -> Samsung logo -> Devil logo -> Nexus logo).
I've wiped partition cache and dalvik, put the ROM and Gapps on external sd and flashed again. Nothing changed.
I am also worried about the battery - when I plug the charger the device turn on (the way mentioned above) and I have no idea whether it's charging or not, at the moment I am at 24% of battery so it's risky to flash without a charge.
Please, I need some advice to fix this, without loosing my data on the phone. I could flash another ROM, but that obviously means data/factory reset.
Thank you in advance!
EDIT: I've just checked in CMW and the phone is actually charging. Battery percentage rose up.
Have you tried to return to stock ROM ?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
I've made a nandroid backup to a external SD and wiped data. The phone "amazingly" works, although I've lost all my configuration and data (maybe I'll retrieve it somehow from the backup files).
Must have been corrupted files or something.
Hmmm im running gamerzrom too since first day and i didnt have anything like this.
Did you change/update kernel?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
Nope, I didn't touch anything. Just changed the DPI once I flashed the ROM.
Well I couldn't have said a bad word about GamerzROM until yesterday's incident.
Hope it never happens again.
So last night I turned my phone off and put it on the charger. This morning when trying to boot up I get an error that process system is not responding and whether I choose wait or to close the program, after a few moments the phone reboots itself. The only way to fully turn it off is with power+volume up. I can't do a factory reset or anything involving an internet or cell connection on the phone. When I try to do a factory reset It will tell me system is not responding and reboot again. I have a Tmobile XZ C6606, and I am using xubuntu 14.04 right now. Any help?
EDIT:
Also I have manually uninstalled all downloaded apps and I have booted into safe mode and the same thing occurs
