Hi there :}
- Is there a way to keep the Sense 5 app drawer with the clock and weather top in Nova launcher?
- I would like to change the multitasking window to the stock one. Like it is in the GE editions where you swipe to the right to kill an app. Can I do that somehow?
Thanks for the replies!

1) Not possible.
2) Yes it's possible, just edit (with Notepad++) the default.xml file in /system/customize/ACC/default.xml. Inside the default.xml file search for:

true

Click to collapse
And:

true

It's about 412 and 430 lines and it's the "values" for the HTC recent apps style.
Change "true" to "false", save, replace the file and set the correct permissions, like the original file, reboot and you're good.
You can also do that directly from your phone with a file explorer (like Root Explorer), edit the same file, save then reboot and you're good. You'll have the stock Android recent apps style.
Make a Nandroid backup before, just in case.
Thank you very much I will do this today. Also I would like to use the AOSP lockscreen and the Analogue clock from the GE edition. I dont want to use hololocker. What is the best way to do these?

Re,
Sorry but for these... I don't know but I doubt it's possible (or at least with an app like Widgetlocker or something similar in the Playstore for the lockscreen).
Second solution is to use a custom rom that allows this -> dev section-> search in the OP for the different rom's... I'm sure I've seen some custom rom's with this option (Viper for example). It depends if you want keep a "stock-custom" rom with the closest look (with a tweak here and there, but it's "soft" or a rom with multiples tweaks...
Take a closely look on the rom in the dev section
Yeah, I installed Viper ROM today. I like it so far.

Darchdroid is probably about as close to what you are asking for as your gonna get (AND IT HAS THE OC KERNEL ), although it doesnt have the sense mail app..
"How to edit your own ROM" is a much bigger question than I think you realize...
If you want to learn though browse through the WIKI's, everything you need to know to learn how to make your own rom is in there
Post back with any questions!!
thx 4 reply where can i find the sprint 2.1 rom stock to edit and how can i take parts from nexus rom like browser or launcher to add to my custom rom?

Well the best way to get a full stock rom is to pull it off the ruu. What you'll need to do is run the ruu without your phone plugged in and open up task manager and go to the processess and find ruu.exe then right click it and go to file location. You'll find a folder that says rom.zip copy that and paste it to your desktop. Now turn off the ruu. Inside the rom.zip will be the system image of an untouched 2.1 sprint hero rom

Just flash DarchDroid and get Helix/Zeam/Luancher Pro
There is no way to put Sense on an AOSP rom.
And it is probably not possible to run the AOSP browser on our stuff with out serious reworks.
I have Captivate JI6 (unofficial froyo) version...
And can anyone tell me, where in the system file (framwork_res.apk) I can find the images of lock screen?
P.S. How can I change my puzzle LOCK SCREEN to slide LOCK SCREEN???
thats what im trying to find too. message me when u figure it out man haha

Have you guys considered using custom roms?
Some custom roms allow you to pick 4 different lockscreens (like Darkyy's)
It's a little bit more complicated than just swapping out some images. You would have to decompile framework-res.apk and change xml's. I'd do it for you but I'm at work. Easiest option is to use a custom ROM, or a theme, since themes sometine include custom locks.
There's a few lockscreen customization apps available. Personally, I use LockBot Free.

Thanks, but I have already tried using paid lockscreen app, but I want to use as system itself! :-D
There's themes that include other lockscreens too, not just ROM's. Example, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=760106 is compatible with JI6 and includes the slide lockscreen.
I used to be on darky's rom and just flashed seearms rom (for several reasons)
In darky's rom when you want to add widgets to the homescreen, the several widget option for the same app used to be combined together. I know there is an app/tool for this, but can't seem to find it now. Please point me in the right direction

Hi,
What do you mean by "the several widget option for the same app used to be combined together"?
Id like to help but I dont think I understand what you mean...
I know what your talking about.
Search here on xda for 'App Widget Picker' - put it in /system/app with root explorer. No reboot necessary.
Actually, screw it. File is attached haha.
Rename it to appwidgetpicker.apk.
Thanks.. this makes selecting widgets so much easier!!

Hi, do you know a way to remap "rosie customization button" ?
Actually I do not need any shortcut to customize the style and I would like to replace this dock button by another action such as starting a custom app.
Is there any APK for it ?
Thanks
Nico
There already is a thread about this and fortunately also a solution. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=887208
You need the LaunchKey app from the market, which will start any application you want.
Afterwards just flash the attached zip file (Rosie-signed.zip).
If it doesn't work for some reason you can also push Rosie.apk to /system/app/
The button will now launch the app you selected in LaunchKey.

After you installed LaunchKey, just push the attached APK to /system/app/ and overwrite the original Rosie. (no time to make a flashable zip right now, sorry, if you need one tell me and I'll create one later)
The button will now launch the app you selected in LaunchKey.

Nevermind, I actually had a bit more time than I thought, so I created the zip.
I updated the post so the steps are like this now:
1.) Install LaunchKey
2.) Set LaunchKey to launch the desired app
3.) Boot into recovery and flash zip
4.) Reboot & enjoy

Thank you, it seems to work, as I can see a small star on the right button... BUT... what should I do if I want to use it with my Sense 3.0 ?
Actually I'm using the "[ROM][Jul 04][ACE] Virtuous Unity 1.27.0 Sense 3.0 based on Pyramid" and I would like to keep this ROM...
thanks

Ah sorry, I didn't know you were on Unity.
Could you post your Rosie.apk here? I'll look into it and then we will see.

Ty so much. Finaly someone created rosie remap that look like original with just button that actually do something useful.
(Core have one also, more colorful than I like but it is good one).
I never understand why ppl care more about shiny transparent black or white things than a real functionality. But, c'est la vie.
One thing it is not to much.
Can u also make (if u have time) app drawer 5x5 or 5x4. I can live without that but I also used to it using core mod Rosie Remap.
Ty again,

Check out he_stheone64's Rosie on Steroids mod. (can't find the link right now)
It includes transparency, multi column app drawer and the remap.

I know, I try it and it has ugly shadow over rosie.
I follow all rosie remaps from first thread (link is above in this thread) and believe me this is best one for 2.1 Rosie (if u like stock look)
and also CoreMod (if u like shiny colorful stuff with many combinations of drawer and transparency mode).
I must admit I never found Rosie 3.0 remap that is one reason I never try Unity rom.

I have got an idea, but haven't tested it yet.
Unfortunately I am going to be on a vacation for the next 10 days, so I can't continue my work.
Maybe someone else will finish it in the meantime. If no one does however, I'll continue working on it when I come back.

Hi,
I am using HTC Sense and I want to drag my own shortcut from the desktop onto the dock. But when I hold down the shortcut, the dock disappears. Is this possible?
I can't use the app drawer though because the shortcut I have on my desktop has a custom icon which I want to retain, that's different than the original app's icon.
Thanks.

Nope. Not on Sense. At least not on 4.1. I think if you are on a 4.2.2 sense rom, then it might be possible, but I'm not sure as I'm running a google edition rom.

Thanks I was told that it was possible because people said they are able to change the icons in the lockscreen.
How else can I do this? I use nova and my dock has different icons but the lockscreen dock still looks like sense, I mean for the icons.

They can change the apps, not the icons. Again, I'm not sure exactly how it works for 4.2.2 +. Sense will always use sense icons on the lockscreen.
What rom are you on?

Thanks probably 4.1? Actually I don't know how to check? Is 4.2 out? I haven't installed anything.
Also someone suggested using unicon, do you know this app? It's supposed to use the same icons everywhere but it says it requires root access. What's that even mean? I assume it will slow the phone down?

Btw. I'm on ViperROM and able to drag own Shortcuts to the Dock.
(Android 4.2.2)
But it could be a tweak from ViperRom (tons of 'em in the ROM)

Thanks I checked for the update yesterday and it was there so did it today and lo and behold, it was working like you said. I was able to use icon changer app to create a custom shortcut and then place it onto the dock from the desktop directly.
Really like the new changes in this OS, awesome, thanks
