Its nothing to think about... reflash and my gutt feeling say that the reboots disapear.
If not, via odin make a flash to stock.
If that didnt help.. it may be a hardware issue..
No worrys i think.

Hi.
Yes.. if you dont wipe you could inheret the fault.
Factory wipe and then install rom.
Your other hang problem could be fixed to i think. Who knows in the end?

Maybe I just found another possible cause for this long lasting problem. Sorry for bothering this old thread again.
I reactivate old but gold Samsungs with 4G by flashing the most recent stable cfw available. So I did with some SGS3 LTE and I was wondering, why every phone had problems with it. One just curiously lost EFS wich led to continously booting (could be fixed by restore), one had a sudden problem with the powerbutton (could be fixed by soldering a new switch), one just didn't like the SoC-standby (setting kernel to min. 800MHz fixed that) and finally today I found the last one to have a problem with the screen. When the screen blacks out due to energysavings primarly the system loses the connection to the digitizer wich is not the main issue. But 30 seconds after the display shuts off, the standby comes in not so handy and the screen gets a short circuit wich leds to a reboot. So I tried to exchange with a shattered display with broken touch and, oh wonder, everything is working fine. I then connected the suspected display to another mainboard and guess what? Yes, it rebooted exactly 30 secs after the screen blacked out.
Is anyone here still on this device and can replicate my sightings? I'd love to use /e/ on all of these cute little thingies and maybe someone else could do this also by just replacing the display?
...a few facts to add: I tried "keep display active during charging" (development options) over night connected to a powerbank and it stayed on. Just locking the phone made it go nuts and reboot 30 secs after...
So I notice my phone is missing the camera icon.. rebooted and it says activating handset.. once activated it reboots and show some install icon briefly boots back and whoa it says welcome and all my apps are gone.. I had to sign in again and reinstall my apps.. Wtf happened? Not even rooted

settings>about software version
what were you running and what are you now running
other than that I dunno
You sure your camera button wasn't on your dock? When it is on the dock it will not show up in the app drawer.
As far as the device basically factory resetting itself..... I have no idea

I can confirm that this is working, be sure to restart your phone after applying the settings web hijacker posted.
NOTE: your phone will not go into deep sleep after applying this workaround as it will purposely cause a partial wakelock, so this will have some negative affect on battery, just how much remains to be seen.

Thank you for you feed back
And I don't care about battery because I charge my phone twice a day ....
Good find, I was searching for WiFi fix apps a couple of days ago on the play store, I installed a few, but none worked, I didn't see the one you linked to, so thanks for the heads up

Didn't work for me, chose the last option then went to advance menu and chose workaround 3 then rebooted. Still have the problem (unlock phone just to see no wifi) but it connected right after.

There is a fix for 3g problem?
It's about the same problem, when the telephone is in stand by mode for a long time (2 hours or more), the 3g stop working, it seems to be on, but it don't work ! You need to turn off and then turn on again to make it work !

I have no idea mate. Even i am troubled..
Installed again and did the work around 2 method and rebooted. Was going fine the whole day until I turned off wifi to save battery. Turned it back on, everything was fine, then I locked the phone. Unlocked it back and no wifi! But it reconnected really quickly so I guess this app is doing something!

I don't have such a problem but if you face it again just do one of these method and it will work
1.reboot the device
2.when you turn off WiFi to save your battery and turn it on again .... go to dev option and press enable work ground 2 again and this should solve the problem

Today this random notification popped up on my phone and i wanted to know if it was legit and not some malicious app or anything like that. A screen shot is attached.
I long pressed the notification and pressed app info and i took me to the dialer. I dont know if that is of importance.

I have never seen this extension pop-up, I would say its mostly likely spam or advert. I would download Airpush Detector from the android market and see what is says. I have included a link for you too. Hope this helps. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brosmike.airpushdetector&feature=nav_result
I had this about a week ago too. I haven't seen it since...

Me too. Popped up a few weeks ago. Then went away.
Today its back
Can you both list the apps you have installed? I will download the same apps and try and troubleshoot for you. Thanks

Try and boot the phone in safe mode (switch the phone off, switch on normally but when the screen lights up, press and hold volume down until booted). This will prevent any 3rd party apps from starting. Then see if you get the notification still.

Hello.
I've wrote it before that my phone just random likes to reboot itself like once every day.
I also noticed that usually after these reboots it shows up app update notifications. But when the phone is on, these notifications don't show up. I have to either check manually or it will show up when the phone restarted from a reboot. Or if I restart it myself.
I have notifications set to on for this.
Wondering if this might be one of the reasons my phone decides to reboot. It hasn't failed yet, it is one reboot per day. And it's random when I use the phone.
I'm hoping it's a software bug in the new firmware. I've already tried the repairs, flashed other roms and so in. Tried a new sim card and also a new microsd card. Still the same.
