Hello,
I've been trying CyanogenMod for a few days now and have noticed a weird thing.
The phone will either boot to baseband L6260_modem_sic_02.1233.0 or LGP880AT-00-V20a-EUR-XXX-MAR-26-2013 .
That happens with every kernel available for CM at the moment.
Also i noticed that when phone boots to LGP880AT-00-V20a-EUR-XXX-MAR-26-2013 occurs the notorious baseband_xmm_power wakelock .
So anyone got a clue why phone boots randomly to one of these baseband or a way to make it stick to one of these?
Thanks in advance.

This is the only one I ever see.
Interesting observation though. Maybe others could check so we have more data.
Might also be related to the original region of your phone. Mine was EUR-XXX.
I have first version on stock rom, and still had tons of issues with baseband wakelock, so im not sure its connected
I have LG6260 now. No issues so far.

I had those problems too, that the reason that i downgrade to stock based rom, all CM based rom gives me problems with mobile data connections
I don't know what's causing the baseband_xmm_power but it seems like after all it's irrelevant from the baseband. I even switched to CM-10.2 to see if it still happens there. Still got two basebands coming up randomly upon each reboot and the good baseband wakelock that prevents the phone from sleeping..
I'll make an effort to report this to the CM maintainer just in case..

You were right, now I have the LGP88AT-EUR-XXX. Strange. But still no sign of Baseband wakelock.

The same for me: No wakelocks but baseband has changed on its own. Sometimes it loses APN settings as well.

Same here. My baseband changes and i loose data and gps. When i reboot it goes back to the right baseband.
Enviado desde mi LG-P880 usando Tapatalk 4
werewolf v8 has NVIDIA drivers updates which fixed that problem for me. Now baseband_xmm_power does not stuck with hours of wakelocks, but just when it's needed (few minutes so far).
I think the problem is fixed, newer builds are working without problems. No more baseband changes.

For me still happens, and I still having network issues
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
After trying all sort of CM based roms i went back to stock. I took as base Jellyfish HD 1.3 removed all the things that were unnecessary for my use and applied iodak v8 kernel.
At last my phone is smooth and i have perfect battery life. Baseband is always L620_MODEM_SIC_02.1233.0 and i have no more weird wakelocks.
Unless CM decides to have a look at the RIL stock based roms seems like the best option to go.
Just to ressurect this thread
I decided to flash CarbonRom-4.3 over the weekend, after flashing EUR v20b for the newer BaseBand, and now notice the same thing. Each reboot seems to switch my BaseBand between
L6260_MODEM_SIC_02.1233.00
and
LGP880AT-00-V20b-EUR-XXX-JUL-17-2013
I have searched the Interwebz and get lots of hits for the first of them, not just for our devices, but also for the P895. I wonder if these are just two different ways of reporting the same BaseBand or not, but the 'LGP880AT' one seems to give me better GPS reception - I don't think it's just a placebo effect.

I think it must just be a matter of how the baseband is reported. I haven't changed my BB, but during today reflashed my Magic ROM backup and got the L6260, reflashed Carbon and got either at random, then flashed ProBam and have gone back to the LGP880AT version.
I don't believe for a minute that our device has two basebands.

Hi all!
Already a week from now I'm trying to find out why my SGS is waking up at nights. Battery drains too fast for sleeping time - 5-10%.
I've already switched off Google sync, uninstalled Gtalk and Google Search with TB. Also uninstalled Maps. Wi-fi, mobile data, Bluetooth, GPS, Google's Location Service are also switched off. "Use only 2G networks" is checked in mobile network settings. I don't have any updating widgets such as weather etc. Alarms are off. I don't know what else can I do...
Maybe it's all because I'm in roaming all the time? I hope it's not.
I'm on Cyanogenmod 9 RC2 with stock kernel and XXJW4 modem. A little bit earlier I've been on a nightly cm9 and Devil kernel - the same issue.
Here are screenshots of battery use:

And um... I don't know why BBS shows that battery drain was 92%, it's really about 7%. NetworkStats is always #1 partial wakelock.
So I tried almost everything to force my phone sleep all the night but it didn't work. Someone help me to find out the solution!
P.S. I'm new to xda so I can't post yet in this thread. So I'll post it here.

No, didn't try yet. When I just installed cm9 RC2, I installed BBS only to monitor battery usage, especially by NetworkStats wakelock. It was ok, so I installed rest of necessary apps. And then, next night damn networkstats showed up again. And now I've uninstalled almost all apps which can be the reason, but nothing helped.
Btw, I'll try to do a factory reset and reinstall all apps that I have now in the phone. I have nothing to lose...
If wiping doesnt help
If wiping doesnt help you could try another ROM like slim ICS or you could upgrade to cm10 Hellybean ROM is pretty stable and if you enable IDLEv2 it seems to do pretty well for battery life
Nope, nothing helped. Did a wipe, installed some apps (bbs, tb and x-plore) and monitored battery for 4 hours. NetworkStats is #1.
Then I've uninstalled all apps (even bbs) and monitored battery for whole night. Same problem... Then installed bbs to find out which wakelock is it. Aaaand... it's... networkstats again...
So I'll try to install different roms.
Let us know what happens
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA Premium
So, I tried different kernels (semaphore, devil) with this rom but problem remained. Tried CM10 with stock kernel and at first sight this wakelock has gone (it lasts about 2-3s as it should be). I'll test this rom for a few days more.
If your using cm10 I recommend hellybean it is a lot more stable and includes datadata partition which cm10 doesn't have

Thanks for information! But what about flashing another roms after hellybean? Does this datadata partition change anything about installing another rom via cwm? Or it's absolutely the same as other JB roms?
I don't know if it changes anything but if your worried try slim bean and use the app SD speed increase setting it to 2048 it seems to compensate for no datadata and is still very stable

The point is to get rid of this wakelock. During search I found only 2 or 3 users who have this wakelock issue. And nobody knows certain solution.
Installed SlimICS. Battery usage is great but I really didn't like this rom because of little bugs and flaws. So I decided not to install SlimBean as it won't be more flawless than SlimICS.
Also, I've tried flashing HellyBean and didn't success. Flashed step by step after instructions, but after installation it stucks on bootscreen. Reflashing doesn't help.
I'll try now one good rom based on the latest cm10 alpha.

Hi. Don't mean to hijack the thread, but I have a similar problem. Only difference is I'm running CM10 (nightly 20121125), and my phone is awake "more" overnight...
Have attached snapshot to show what I mean.
I don't have any rogue apps (as far as I'm aware of)... All accounts and apps are set to "manual" to fetch data/refresh (I forget the correct word! LOL)
After reading another post, I've downloaded and running betterbatterystats. Hopefully that'll shed some light too...
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Hello guys,
My Galaxy Note freeze very often on JB 4.1.2 Roms. It happen on every JB Rom with PhilZ kernel I think.
It runs sometimes good and sometimes it freeze totally and I have to reboot. It freeze 3-5 times when I reboot my Galaxy Note, on the lockscreen,... open an app,... even sometimes if I turn on/off something on the Togglesbar or just Random. I get really angry when it freeze so often!! And it freeze everytime when I plug in the charger and load the battery over the night. In the morning, my Note shows Black Screen. (=Freeze)
I can't "enjoy" jelly bean on my Note! But when the Official one is out, this wouldn't be happen or?
I flash the JB Roms everytime right! I think, when the Hydracore Kernel is released for TW JB, I won't get freezes because the kernel load the right Voltgroup, right?
It's really really really annoying I don't want to go back to ICS!
Pls, help.
If you want to know more or something is missing, just ask. And sry for my bad english :silly:
Some Details about my Note,
GT-N7000 Black
16GB (bricked to 8GB )
Voltgroup B
4GB SD-Card
I had some of the problems like you, it was freezing random, in menu or in games.
After I install this JB http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1970626
It works fine for me - so far.
But I've also do the ''Full wipe /data/factory reset /cache and dalvik'', before I didn't do the dalvik. May be that would work, if you do all the resets.
Thanks for your reply,
I will try that one I tested it one time but I can't remember
I will report if the freezes are maybe gone.
I flashed this Rom now and I got 0 Freezes =D
I like the LSA one more than the LS7 one Ultimate
The blue theme is awesome... but for now there are no freezes but they can come back
But for now, Thanks
I'm glad to hear that.
I think it will get only better when they release the official firmware and everything will work 100%.
I like the stock theme and really like the blue.
Wir hören uns später wenn etwas nicht stimmt
Ok, now in the morning the Phone freezes again so often! God damn..
Should I switch to ICS back or is there another solution?
Could there be any third party programs that are making your phone freezing?
You could try do the whole procedure again. After installing everything go back to CWM and just install the firmware again (without full wipe & co.). Or after the installation you could try to go to Settings>>Backup and reset>>Factory data reset...and erase everything (or try the full data reset code *2767*3855#).
But if you really want to go to 4.0.4, I've been using N7000XXLRU and it was very great for me.
Unfortunately I can't help much more, you could try some other JB that come from Nexus (without TouchWiz and Samsung stuff).
Third party software? I don't think so... I think its PhilZ kernel.
The Cyanogenmod Roms are running great but I like the Samsung interface a bit more.
What Rom are you using?

I mean any program that maybe is interfering with the firmware (angry birds, skype...but is not from google play or is not trustworthy).
I'm using the one that I post to you, Ultimate N7000 XXLSA JellyBean 4.1.2 v5.
No. It freezes randomly. I can go to settings and it freezes. That really sucks.
Gesendet von meinem GT-N7000 mit Tapatalk 2
Oh what about an external SD card. Do you have it? Maybe that is the problem, because samsung sometimes does act strange if the SD card is broken.
Yeah this maybe could be the "freezer"
4GB Sandisk SD Card
Gesendet von meinem GT-N7000 mit Tapatalk 2
I really hope this was the problem. You will see after 24h, or after one week.
I hope so too.
I will flash now my Rom or other Jelly Bean roms like Ultimate and I remove the SD Card before flashing.
Thanks for now
Gesendet von meinem GT-N7000 mit Tapatalk 2
Wow, I flashed now without SD-Card and no freezes until now!
I will report back if the freezes come back... I won't hope so
If the SD-Card was the "freezer" I throw it in the Trash! immediately!
So,
My Note doesn't freezed about 30min!!
And I forgot to say that I had the same problem with my Galaxy Ace.
I will reply tomorrow in the morning.. because it freezed everytime during the night so yeah....If it doesn't freeze in the morning or during the night.. Big Thanks! :good:
OK fingers crossed it will work. :fingers-crossed: ''Until now'' with big letters hehe
If everything will work you could just try to format SD card on the computer. Then it could work in phone normally, or you share it to someone (after the format).
Great!
I think, the problems are solved and I'm really thankful to you Uri_1 to
attentively me that the SD-Card was faulty.

Ok guys I been messing with my phone all night after using this phone over a year stock. Haven't been enjoying 4.4 and since warranty is basically up figured have some fun.
I used to root all my phones immediately and play with ROMS but the Z worked perfect out the box.
Anyway been out the game over a year and I never have done unlocked bootloader on sony device before.
I started out unlocking bootloader fine and dandy. For some reason I thought this would magically make everything else easy but I guess not.
Anyway I then found a 4.2 ROM to install so I could ROOT and install recovery.
After that i thought I was done and would install just anything I found.
I tried out dirty unicorn but that just kept failing to install..
I then got bootlooped and did entire process over again...
I now have http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/rom-rooted-deodexed-zipaligned-stock-0-t2759467 this up and installed.
was my problem with the dirty unicorn ROM not installing because I was on 4.2?
Now that I have 4.4 will it work or am I missing something because i really don't want to do another rinse and repeat lol...
I was just thinking about upgrading to the XZ from my note, but after seeing a few people post in the forum about rooting and rom issues I dint think I will now lol

You got in a bootloop because you didn't unlocked your bootloader properly and tried to flash a custom ROM.
If you try to flash a custom kernel/custom ROM on a phone which have a locked bootloader, you will end in a bootloop, because the custom kernel isn't signed by SONY.
The second ROM you've tried is for LB and for UB. This one is a stock based custom ROM.It works with the stock kernel.

I don't understand how I didn't unlock the bootloader properly though. I went through the entire tutorial and it said bootloader unlocked. If I go into the service menu and look it also says it's unlocked.
I also know the rom I'm currently on works on locked bootloader I chose it figuring it would be easier to flash because I had been searching the forums for 5 straight hours without finding any answers to what I did wrong or a step I missed. Maybe I was just to tired at the time and did skip something important. It was past 2 am and I needed my phone working in the morning early for work.
I guess I will just stick to not using custom roms :-\

This is the Unnoficial MIUI v5 for Peregrine (Moto G LTE)
It's based on Tqr build and some parts from Official CM11Disclaimer:
As always, if you mess your phone and start the third world war, it's your own problem. The ROM works for me, so use at your own risk. You've been warned.
Status:
What is fine:
Almost everything i've tested (Calls, Bluetooth, Google Sync, etc.). Except, of course, what listed in bugs.
Bugs:
Wifi Hotspot (as the Falcon have the same problem)
4G doesn't work out-of-the-box. However, you can force the phone to use 4G with *#*#4636#*#* -> phone information -> set preferred network type -> LTE/GSM auto (PRL).
Probably the same kernel problems from Peregrine's CM11.
Some texts are messed up (MTP for example)
It seems sdcard isn't working (yet)
Instructions:
Full Wipe
Install ROM
Install PA-GAPPS. The Nano package is enough, but you can install a package of your choice.
Reboot
Enjoy
Downloads:

Man, if it had functional SD Card support then I'd definitely give this a whirl! Hopefully it gets solved soon. awesome to see the 4G variant receive another major ROM variant added to the range of aosp based ROMs though, good luck for future releases! (here's hoping miui 6at some point!)

Crashes when setting a ringtone but other than that its pretty good. Just sayin

I can't because I'm not using MIUI anymore, I've only tested, because I really need SD card working.
I'm working on a new build, I don't know yet but maybe it will fix the sdcard this time.
Update: Yeah I still don't know what is wrong, I think I'll give another try in the weekend. Trying a lot of different changes. I figured out what was crashing the interface, but the sdcard still doesn't work without giving me any clue.
I have missed MIUI, havent tried it since gingerbread. When you get this working I may give up on my projects and just follow yours...but I have a hard time letting go of AOKP.

Update: Yeah I still don't know what is wrong, I think I'll give another try in the weekend. Trying a lot of different changes. I figured out what was crashing the interface, but the sdcard still doesn't work without giving me any clue.

i'm testing based on other device, I didn't see any future porting from falcon, to be honest.
Need to update my profile as have 4g now not 3g
This may help with the sdcard creation:

Mimic this in your fstab.

Modify all of the mentioned files and Enjoy!
You may have to look around for the scripts.
Posted this is in the carbon thread on accident.

Never really thought about asking honestly. I know that someone tried for the Falcon but I don't think anything came of it.

Not that I have experienced or have been made aware of.
Thanks! Will try it on the next few hours
Oooh I'm mentioned :3
Thanks and thanks for the ROM it's great. Especially the battery life turned out better than ever before in comparison to stock (most experience from other devices).
No Bug in RAM management for me, beautiful work.

Rom is working great. Thanks.
I have to say ever since I have flashed it, the rom has yet to let me down. Great rom and I'm happy to see others have the same opinion.
Glad to see everything is working well for everyone.
New build available. Switched up the toolchains, different source for the toolchains handling the kernel, still Linaro. Switched over to SaberMod toolchains on the ROM itself. Seems to have cut down initial boot time.
Enjoy
The ROM is perfect!!!! Thanks
Like it so far, except it won't read my external SD card. It was read fine on stock and has no problem being read by my PC. Gallery also won't open and says no external storage when I try to open.

Where you trying to change the wallpaper on the stock launcher?
I had a similar issue, I use Nova Launcher and it is not an issue. Issue must lie in the stock launcher somewhere I shall look into. Thank you for reminding me of this.

Also, is it normal to only have like anywhere from 150-50mb of free ram? Never seen the ram usage before but when I'm in recents its usually between that.

Are you using ART or Dalvik?
Dalvik with nothing running its right around 250MB free
ART with nothing running its about 325MB free
This is one of the freatures I like about AOKP is that RAM bar is enabled by default.
As far as your SDcard issue, I can't recreate any issue with mine. I can read and write to it just fine. It sounds like it might be a format issue. Is there anyone else with SDcard issues?

Wait so we can run ART?... That's great!! I didn't even know!
For me, the notification tile for battery does not show any info...
I know that's complaining on a ridiculous high level but I guess it's the only bug for me (except the lines on boot animation).

Thanks for the great ROM... Only problem is that my SD card doenst work properly. When I restart, it says: SD card unexpectedly removed... But when I take it out and put it in again, it works fine. Had the same problem on stock 4.4.4 . Stock 4.4.3 worked just fine... Does anyone have a clue?
Btw my sdcard is a medion 32gb class 10
