I recently bought a Galaxy Tab off of eBay with the seller saying they couldn't get it to get past the bootloader thinking I could fix it. Easy right?
I've been working on this thing for over 3 hours trying to re-partition and flash the stock firmware via Odin and it's getting me nowhere. After installing the stock firmware I get stuck in a bootloop on the main screen. Recovery says:
E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
when trying to format all the partitions, thus it cannot mount any filesystems:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/recovery_kernel_log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:failed to mount /cache (No such file or directory)
... etc
I've come to the conclusion that my SD card is dead. I have an extra micro SD just laying around, is there any way I can force the tablet to use the external storage as the internal storage so I can revive this thing?
what tab model?u have repartitioned the tab that's why the internal is gone

I've tried serveral SD cards and I still get:
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 or /dev/block/mmcblk0
(No suck file or directory)
E:Can't mount SDCARD:
It was working just fine when I finally got Cannons newest working. My PC will read all the cards fine. I'm afraid that the reader on my G1 just bit the dust. Is there any other way of getting this to work?
Most of the people are complaining about I9000M internal sd card.
After flashing the original firmware, you stuck on S logo of i9000M .
Does it indicate the sd card failure or it can be another problem.
How can you confirm that your internal sd card has gone.
:/
go into recovery mode (volume up + home + power)and if it shows below, then your internal is gone
E: can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1
(no such file or directory)
E:copy_dbdata_media:cant mount SDCARD:
copy default media content failed.
Hello
I have a problem with my N1. It happened while flashing a custom rom - what caused it, I don't exactly know. The problem is, that now, my N1 wont boot. When i turn it on it is just stuck at the 4-colored X. I can boot into recovery and everything, but it can't mount my sd card from here, all i get when trying to do anything related to the card is this message:
E:Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 (or /dev/block/mmcblk0)
(No such file or directory)
E:Can't mount /sdcard
All my phone can do now is to get to the bootloader, recovery and fastboot. I'm unable to install a new rom or a new recovery. Actually i'm unable to use my phone for anything.
Hope you guys can help me out
Did you do the obvious and try another SD card?
Or try and fix sd card errors or just full wipe the card??
Yeah, i did try another card and got the same message. Both cards works fine when i tried them in another phone. And yes i did try and wipe the card as well.
You can go to Amon/Mounts and mount card or try a repair sdcard
If you have backup of card, I would reformat (sdformatter) and repartition
Do you use Temasek's System Only Wipe zip between new roms in addition to data/cache wipes?
Hi guys,
I've tried sideloading some stuff onto my device, but constantly get an error from adb:
" failed to write data 'protocol fault (no status)' "
After some searching I found this was because CWM cannot mount sdcard, so I went into mounts and storage and tried mounting sdcard, and it didn't work.
I've tried updating CWM but that didn't help =[
Why can't it mount sdcard? =[
I tried to reformat /data to f2fs with TWRP 2.8.5 but I got the following errors:
Code:
Formatting Data using mkfs. f2fs...
Done.
E:Unable to mount '/data'
E:Unable to recreate /data/media folder
E:Unknown MPT message type: 1
Updating partition details....
E:Unable to mount '/data'
I then noticed my entire SD card was empty! So I restarted Android and it went trough a first boot, got a welcome screen etc.
Now when use Disk Usage app, it lists the newly created folders on my SD card, but my old data appears as a "system data" block. It's not a folder and I can't access it. So my internal SD card is now near full while there suppesedly aren't any files on it. What happened here and can I get my data back?
